Suggestions please: Pet simulator without IAPS Posted: 31 Oct 2018 06:14 AM PDT Does anybody know of any pet games without IAPs? All the ones I have found are very aggressive in their sales pitch, and it just disappoints my daughter when I tell her that no, she can't buy the million hats or fur colours or whatever. Would be willing to pay to buy the app if it's decent. [link] [comments] |
Is there any PDF reader with OCR built-in? Posted: 31 Oct 2018 05:51 AM PDT I'm looking for an easy way to extract text from an image PDF file, basically a scanned textbook. If not, any alternative is welcome. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Best Reddit app for battery performance? Posted: 31 Oct 2018 07:22 AM PDT I'm a little bit of OCD when it comes to battery draining apps on my phone. I have always used Bacon Reader Pro to get my reddit fix but recently I tried the official Reddit android app and I happily noticed it has a cool amoled night mode which should help save battery. But, then unlike Bacon Reader Pro it uses valuable cpu cycles tracking my usage for targeted advertising etc. So with this in mind out of all the redfit apps has any body got any scientific knowledge (or anecdotal evidence) on which Reddit andrid app is best for battery performance? Appreciate any info on this thanks. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Oct 2018 11:41 PM PDT Hello. I'm looking for a music player app that can play from a folder and most importantly one that would only play the track i click on and not automatically queue all other tracks in that folder. I found an app called vanilla player but it consumes a lot of battery, so looking for something similar. Thanks for your help [link] [comments] |
[DEV] Fisherman - My idle game Posted: 31 Oct 2018 10:04 AM PDT Hello, I had released my next game for Android "Fisherman", it's a simple clicker/idle game, in which we are running fishes business, we start as a single fisherman, over time we are getting new workers, we upgrade them, latter we unlock transport ship, we start to have own fish "aquarium". Game don't got IAP. Also, we can take various decisions (like a tax fraud, take loan, stop paying your workers, and a lot more). Game was made with Unity (C#) + JS (for web version only). Game should work on al Phones with Android 4.1+, it's free (and with no IAP), there are just reward video ads + one full screen ad per ~7 minutes (or more) + we need to have enough gain to see it. Right now I had released some updates to this game (It was released 2 days ago), now working on next updates. Also, I'm newbie 20 year old, just hobbyists guy :P. Not sure what else I can write here, oh also in ~1 month I will be releasing statistics from this game (earnings and players stats + more). If you got any questions, feel free to ask, I will answer them all :-} Have fun. [link] [comments] |
Most comfortable way to control pc/YouTube from couch? Posted: 31 Oct 2018 05:59 AM PDT I'm using unified remote and also registered my PC as a YouTube TV device, pairing it with my phone. But I still am sometimes forced to go to my PC to do stuff, because it's awful to do via phone. Any other solutions/apps for this use-case? [link] [comments] |

Excluding certain applications from VPN tunnel Posted: 31 Oct 2018 12:42 AM PDT I want to know is there a possibility to exclude certain applications from my VPN tunnel? Do you know how to do this, if this is possible at all? Or it depends on a VPN I'm using? Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
What do you think about Chrooma keyboard? Posted: 31 Oct 2018 11:37 AM PDT I've searched about this keyboard and the concensus seems to be pretty divided. Half of the people love it while the other half seems to think the company is shady? What do you think? What keyboard do you use? [link] [comments] |
(Suggest) Me a SMS blocking App. Posted: 31 Oct 2018 11:15 AM PDT Hey Guys and Girls, I got a new number a week ago and it's been an absolute hell since I've gotten it. I think they turned my number over quickly that spam bots have not had a chance to delist it so whoever owned the number before me subscibed to every spam text and call service in the world... Payday loans, local sex ads, free makeup, free cars, free giveaways, catfacts, dogfacts, e.t.c.. I also get random debt collection calls that aren't looking for me. I know the easiest way would be to change my number.. However, what would be a good SMS replacement to android messages that can do the following. Automatically block/hide messages from anyone not in your contact list Ability to support pictures, gifs, videos, links, etc.. I found one already that blocks spam sms messages and messages from people not in your contacts but it is barebones. Only allows texting text. No images, gifs, videos, hyperlinks, etc.. And I need these features. Any recommendations? -Bonus question: can you request a specific number at a cellphone carrier? I had a old family cell number from 12 years ago that I'd love to see if its available to take. Not sure if carriers can do that or not [link] [comments] |
why would anyone install google play services beta? Posted: 31 Oct 2018 05:10 AM PDT it's a pain in the ass and I've run into trouble quite some times with the latest stable, so I wonder what's to gain using the beta? [link] [comments] |

Videoder YouTube downloader still works but you now have to buy the $4 premium plugin to enable it. Posted: 31 Oct 2018 10:53 AM PDT I'm just reposting my comment from another post to raise awareness because I asked others who already own the premium plugin or had disposable $4 to see if the plugin made the YouTube download work again and they confirmed it did. My comment: Ok, so I emailed twice (for clarification) the videoder support email on why they took away the YouTube download functionality and they replied with this response and apparently they took it away for "non-premium users" meaning the YouTube download functionality should work if you buy their $4 premium plugin. So now you have to pay $4 to enable YouTube downloads. [link] [comments] |
Texting app with Do Not Distrub? Posted: 31 Oct 2018 10:47 AM PDT Hello! I'm switching from iPhone to Android and I was curious about texting. With the iMessage app I have the option to be able to set messages to DND and still receive others. Is that an option on Android messages or and other texting app? Thanks! [link] [comments] |

Leebly - Checklists & Notes - Built for Android Using Flutter - Just Launched Posted: 31 Oct 2018 10:02 AM PDT Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pixelpancake.com.leebly Website: https://pixelpancake.com/ Been working on this project for the last 4 or so months and officially released it on Google Play this week. It's made specifically to give you a clean but customizable & colorful interface while offering you all the core features you'd want from a todo & note taking reminder app. A main feature I was really excited to develop was a cloud system for motivational messages called "Sparks" where users would periodically receive (couple times a week) fun little messages crafted specifically to spark motivation and enhance your mood. You have the option to turn em off if you'd rather not receive them but they're made to be as unintrusive as possible. You can pin cards to the notification tray that update in real-time while you're editing contents, sort, delete, archive, undo deletes, add stars, lock cards, set reminders, change individual card colors, add stickers which you can totally customize, etc. I basically found I wasn't happy with the current selection of Todo apps for android and made one that i'd like to use. I really intend for it to grow into something much larger with constant support and development of new features based on what the users realistically want. Looking for some feedback. Trying to the app noticed to reach users looking for something like this. [link] [comments] |
App that can download Youtube videos more than 4gb? Posted: 31 Oct 2018 05:34 AM PDT Hi guys, I'm a frequent Tubemate user and I'm having trouble downloading YouTube videos more than 4gb. Any recommendations? [link] [comments] |
Is there an alarm app that lets you rotate sounds? Posted: 30 Oct 2018 05:30 PM PDT I seem to have an issue where I get too used to the sound of my alarm, and I start sleeping through it. I could just change it manually ever once in a while, but it would be nice to have an alarm that just did that automatically for me. I've tried a couple of the popular apps, and did some googling, but so far I haven't found any that have this feature. Is anyone aware of one that does? [link] [comments] |
I've created this app, could you please give me some feedback? Posted: 31 Oct 2018 08:18 AM PDT https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1310381696 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.ufity Hey guys, I've created Ufity, the app that motivates you to lead a more active lifestyle through a cool reward system. Do you find the rewards appealing enough? How do you think people can get motivated to move more? Any idea or suggestion on how to drive more engagement with the app? [link] [comments] |

The best way to run linux on android?(No Root) Posted: 31 Oct 2018 04:35 AM PDT What is the best way to run linux distros on android for unrooted phones? So far I found what I wanted but I have a 5.84" phone and when I'm using a vnc service the desktop is just a small screen in the middle or in a corner (depends on the VNC app) There is any way to get a desktop that fits the whole screen? Or at least has small black bars on the sides? So far I tried AnLinux and UserLand. Couldn't try Debian noroot because I get stuck at the "Loading please wait" screen. [link] [comments] |

Where can I get help finding an app with specific features? Posted: 31 Oct 2018 03:51 AM PDT I need help finding an app with some specific features. I imagine an app with the features already exists, but I have not been able to find one yet, and I can't test all apps in the entire play store. Anyone know a subreddit, or other website where you could ask for help? I think I've seen some places before, where people asks for help to find apps. Alternatively, where would one go to find developers who can make the app if I don't find a suitable one? It's a very simple app, so almost any developer should be able to make it, and UI etc. doesn't matter at all (there will only be 2 users for the app). For the qurious ones: The app I need is a "photo editing" app, where you take a photo (or load from album), and have a set of predefined shapes that you can drag onto the photo. Actually, I think some kind of kids app is most likely to to fit my needs. Here is a mockup. It's not for artistic use, just for highlighting points on a photo. [link] [comments] |
