YouTube Premium and Music for $3.15/month Posted: 03 Aug 2018 10:21 AM PDT Just wanted to share this trick I found a couple of weeks ago. If you sign up for YouTube Premium through a Russian VPN (or if you live in Russia), it will cost you 199 rubles/month. This is a little more than $3/month ($3.15 to be exact) and not the $11.99/month that is the regular price in the US. [link] [comments] |
Best app of editing ID tags of mp3 Posted: 03 Aug 2018 08:26 AM PDT What would you say is the best app out there for editing the ID tags on music? I want it to be able to edit album artwork as well. I use Samsung's music player to play the files but you can't edit them. I tried the "star music tag editor" on the play store and it looked good but they would never have no matter what I tried. Any other suggestions? Play store or other apks [link] [comments] |
[Dev] Noter - A simple notes and todo app that is designed in Material Design 2.0 Posted: 03 Aug 2018 02:18 AM PDT Hi all, With the newly released components of Material Design 2.0 that was previewed at Google I/O this year, I took the liberty and implemented the new Material Design in a simple notes and todo app. I am really liking the renewed direction Material Design is headed towards and can't wait for more developers and even Google to adopt this design later this year! This app is a no-frills app that stores all your data locally on your device and has a simple reminder system that notifies you of your task at the time you set. I would love for you all to try it out and give feedback and hope you love this new Material Design as much as I do :) Download at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bowenchin.android.noter [link] [comments] |

Is AnySoftKeyboard any more safer than SwiftKey or gBoard with xPrivacy? Posted: 02 Aug 2018 11:16 PM PDT I recently switched to AnySoftKeyboard and I'm moderate happy with it. I mean it's open source and not really bad software, it have decent suggestions in my language, but in FB lite it suggestion bar overlaps text area. I also miss ability to swipe. So is ASK any more secure and worth using over SwiftKey or gBoard with xPrivacy? Or it's less about safety and more about FOSS fetishism. [link] [comments] |
Looking for a Gallery app that will sync to my PC Posted: 03 Aug 2018 07:41 AM PDT I really like the way Google Photos handles Albums: You have your picture on Google Photos, and it takes up storage once. It can be tagged with 20 faces and in 5 different albums. Unlike when using the Windows explorer, where placing it in two folders will make it take up storage twice. So I'm looking for a gallery that has this kind of feature, maybe you could call it tagging. And unlike google Photos, I should be able to use it offline too! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Aug 2018 08:42 AM PDT Looking for a good 4x2 agenda/calendar widget with a good material design. One that sits nicely across the top of a home screen that tells you today's events or maybe the next 3 days something like that, but is also appealing. I'm usually good at finding these apps, but this one has proven difficult. [link] [comments] |
Webserver app (PHP+MySQL) with mysql 5.5+ ? Posted: 03 Aug 2018 11:45 AM PDT I'm looking for a webserver app that has php and mysql 5.5+ because I'm currently using bit web server and it only has mysql 5.1 and it cuase my local website to have some non functional features. I also tried palapa but same thing [link] [comments] |
Looking for an app to play Podcasts and Audiobooks Posted: 03 Aug 2018 04:12 AM PDT Hey, I am looking for an app that can handle podcasts and audiobooks. I know any normal music player can play those but I want some specific features like remembering the last played position of multiple files, ability to display chapters of an audio book etc. Also, having a great design would be nicer. I don't mind if the app is free or paid. [link] [comments] |
Messaging App with clean and easy exporting of messages Posted: 03 Aug 2018 04:47 AM PDT I'm looking for a messaging app that:
Hangouts is close to perfection in terms of what I want in a messaging app. I know you can export its history, but it's a json file containing a useless mess, and none of the hangouts json readers I can find on the web work (probably because they're not maintained because no one gives a shit about Hangouts [link] [comments] |
Looking for an app to keep money owed between two people. Posted: 03 Aug 2018 01:44 AM PDT I pay a certain amount of money per month to my mother as her allowance. Most of the time she takes less than that amount to the rest goes to her total savings. Sometimes she takes more than that amount and it comes out of her savings. She does not have a bank account otherwise I would setup a monthly money transfer to her. I tried using an app like splid but it is not suited for my purpose since I have to make weird payments like she paid x amount for me when actually it's what I have to pay for her. This will get even weirder when I start adding the savings. What is the best Android app for my scenario? [link] [comments] |
Looking for an App or adb command to disable my physical navigation bar and LEDs. Posted: 03 Aug 2018 10:18 AM PDT My phone has hardware navigation buttons and I hate them. I use swipe gestures for everything so I'm looking for a way to either disable them completely, or stop them from lighting up. I have Oreo 8.1, and I'm unable to root. (BlackBerry). Any ideas? A To-Do app with nested lists. Options? Posted: 03 Aug 2018 10:06 AM PDT What the title says. I want multilevel nesting and no app seems to do that. The closest I've gotten is todoist, but making a nested list in it is a painstaking effort. Any idea what I could use? [link] [comments] |
Does moded WhatsApp backup chats into Google Drive? Posted: 03 Aug 2018 06:12 AM PDT So my question does moded versions of WhatsApp (e.g WhatsApp+) backup chats to Google Drive as the ordinary one? [link] [comments] |
What are good bubble/edge launchers and pop-up notification managers? Posted: 03 Aug 2018 09:40 AM PDT I bumped into Smart Touch Pro a couple of days ago, it's nice but I'd like to see what else is available from this category. In the same vein, can you recommend good popup notification managers, i.e. those that look like floating bubbles and collect notifications from various applications (WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook etc.). Access with Voice Match is Grayed out Posted: 03 Aug 2018 06:35 AM PDT Maybe this has been discussed before, but I can't find solution to mine. I have carried out few troubleshooting steps: clear cache, restalled Google Assistant, gave it all permissions. But still didn't work. Thanks http://imgur.com/bfhxhFM [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Aug 2018 12:35 AM PDT Hi all, I'm looking for a news/weather app with widget, like Google 'News and Weather' that allows source filtering e.g. no Daily Mail, Guardian etc I think the 'News and Weather' app might be quite old now, but I like the way it lays out local news, weather, a bunch of preset topics and any topics I want to add to it. I know I can filter sources on the website version of Google News, but that seems a bit clunky and doesn't seem to show much at once. Any alternatives? [link] [comments] |
Pleas suggest app for custom quotation reminders. Posted: 03 Aug 2018 03:21 AM PDT I am looking for an app so as to add custom quotes which are then show as reminders from time to time. Idea is custom selection of quotes (few with pictures as well so photo support would be good) are added as a pool and then they are shown in random order from time to time. I could do this using Tick Tick or similar but its not natural as each quote would require to be scheduled. Also daily quotation apps are not good as i can't set my own set of quote selection. Any suggestions on apps or innovative way to use some other app in a way that solves this is useful. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Apps for goal planning that extends into the future (a year+)? Posted: 02 Aug 2018 09:11 PM PDT Sounds weird but I need an app where I can put goals i have that won't be completed until years in the future that I can see often. Calendars dont' show things except for that month and I'm specifically doing this for 1. weight loss and 2. surgeries I want to plan and save for. I'm hoping to be in nursing school in the coming 6 months to a year and again, an app that can have me plan around these things while seeing it often would be helpful. [link] [comments] |
