For those who like domination/resource production strategy games that are slow paced, where you kinda set up your moves then watch them unfold, going back here and there over several days to tinker your strategy, Subterfuge is a really great game.

Takes about 20min to read the rules and then it's fun, albiet slow

    [Request] C/RPG

    Posted: 30 Aug 2018 05:50 AM PDT

I'm searching for RPG to pass time on my phone. I prefer classic rpgs (Baldur's Gate/IWD/Torment), but turn based rpgs are fine too. No games where I'm stuck with only 1 char. Possibly a game with a lot of different equips and builds/classes.

Not interested in FF/Infinity engine ports.

Help me find a game I once played

    Posted: 30 Aug 2018 02:54 AM PDT

So this is a real long shot, but I am really hoping to find the game again.

it was a top down view wave rpg/shooter. You were placed in an arena and had to pick a character, mage , warrior, pirate etc. After there came waves after waves of different enimies and finally a boss. Then you got to move on to the next stage.

Maybe someone here knows the name!

    Thanks!

What types of ads are fine for the players? part 2 - discuss various options

    Posted: 30 Aug 2018 09:48 PM PDT

    Hello all,

Last week I ask you guys about what types of ads are fine for you as an iOS mobile player.

    r/https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidGaming/comments/99sr8n/what_types_of_ads_are_fine_for_the_players/

Thank you all for the great feedback. Based on the feedback, I have come up with following options and would like to have your opinion about it that which option you think is better for our mutual benefit (me as a developer and you as a player).

In my game, I have 10 level packs IAP each for $99, one "buy all (and also remove ads)" IAP for $4.99 and then 3 IAPs for hints (10 hints for $0.99, 25 hints for $199 and 100 hints for $4.99)

    Option 1:

The game shows banner ad at the bottom of the screen where it does not effect the gameplay. Then there are fullscreen ads (which are closable after 5 sec) that comes after every 5 or 10 puzzles complete. The ads are only removed when you buy "Buy all" IAP. Buying individual packs does not remove ads. My game has currently this option.

    Option 2:

The game shows banner ad at the bottom of the screen where it does not effect the gameplay. Then there are fullscreen ads (which are closable after 5 sec) that comes after every 5 or 10 puzzles complete. The ads are removed when you buy any level pack or "buy all" IAP (however not hints IAP). I am moving to this option right now. This change is in beta testing for the time being.

    Option 3:

The game shows banner ad at the bottom of the screen where it does not effect the gameplay. Then there are fullscreen ads (which are closable after 5 sec) that comes after every 5 or 10 puzzles complete. The ads are removed when you buy any level pack or "buy all" IAP or even any hint IAP. This way I am letting my player enjoy the game who is even buying any IAP including hints.

    Option 4:

The game shows banner ad at the bottom of the screen where it does not effect the gameplay. There are no fullscreen ads except one which user can initiate themselves (i.e. rewarded videos). The banner ads are removed when you buy any level pack or "buy all" IAP. After each level, you are provided an option to watch a rewarded video to get 2x score in return. This score is used for player ranking in daily, weekly and all-time high score leader board. I feel that with this option the user will not try to buy any IAP (in order to remove ads) because the banner ads are placed at a place where they are not hindering the game play.

    Option 5:

The game shows banner ad at the bottom of the screen where it does not effect the gameplay. There are no fullscreen ads except one which user can initiate themselves (i.e. rewarded videos). The banner ads are removed when you buy any level pack or "buy all" IAP. In a separate screen, you are provided an option to watch rewarded videos to earn "watch points" with 1 point for each rewarded video. When the user collects X number of points, he/she can convert those points into hints. E.g. convert 10 watch points to get 1 hint or 15 watch point to get 1 hint. I only feel that this might cannibalize the hint IAP because now user will not buy the hint IAP but instead just watch the rewarded video to earn hints (and here I am not sure about the return on rewarded video monetization i.e. whether watching 100 rewarded videos by a user will earn $1 or not).

Please let me know what do you guys think? Thanks.

[REQUEST] Specific type of tower defense game!

    Posted: 30 Aug 2018 09:16 AM PDT

Explaining in depth: i'm loooking for one specific type of tower defense game that allows you to build the towers to make an entire "path" that mob's will pass trough.

You will build towers and towers and towers, the strategy goes around the best placement to build the best paths to use your towers to the maximum.

Example for PC is "Desktop TD".

    Missing games

    Posted: 30 Aug 2018 05:14 PM PDT

Games get deleted all the time from the playstore. Sometimes you can find them from some obscure website.

Do you guys have any hints for where to start looking for old games? I know they are there somewhere.

I had to temporarily remove a game (Gunship 3 - Navy) but I didn't think to check if it was still available, I just assumed, and now it's gone :(

Learn from my mistake; always check before temporarily removing anything. If possible, keep backups on your computer.

Looking for a new kingdom building game to play

    Posted: 30 Aug 2018 01:03 PM PDT

I played many games in the past related to this and I'm looking for a new challenge. Any building will do, with as least p2w as possible. Tribal wars browser version was my favourite years ago but it lost players, it had great competitive mechanics while being almost free. I just tried out Forge of empires but its diamond mechanic was really stupid as there are buildings that can only be bought through p2w system (not free4all). Clash of Kings was the last one I enjoyed but it was still dominated by p2w users with teleporting castles.

    Thanks in advance.

[PORTRAIT] DBZ: Legends and FE: Heroes reviews

    Posted: 30 Aug 2018 08:25 AM PDT

Morning android family, I thought since i check-in everyday for new games i should review the ones I'm playing.

    First up is DragonballZ Legends.

-Been playing on and off since launch and it's mainly to log in and summon and train my heros and PvP.

-Good collection rates and generous currency gifts everyday

-Decent story for Dbz fans and many many heros to collect

-PvP isnt full of bots or hackers (as much) anymore

-Much more detailed characters and GFX than Dbz:Dokkan

    -Generous for F2p players

Next up, I finally caved and grabbed Fire Emblem Heroes because I loved the games on handheld.

-Very Very generous on the free 5* heros on creation.

-PvP and autoplay for when you just want to grind

-So far so good after 2 days of straight playing no paywalls or p2w noticed yet. Besides summoning.

Made an in-app purchase, then got a new phone upgrade. Content is gone. Please help!

    Posted: 30 Aug 2018 06:09 AM PDT

I've been having a blast with Soul Knight and I decided to purchase the werewolf class. All is good and fun until I got a new phone as an upgrade for my plan. I reinstalled the game and the class that I purchased is no longer there but all my others are. I've contacted the developer twice with no reply, I've also tried to do the refund policy thru Google play. Needless to say I'm getting no luck and I'm not about to purchase the class again. I still have my email with the purchase confirmation. What do I do?

[Request] looking for a different game like Idle Heroes and Summoners War

    Posted: 30 Aug 2018 07:56 AM PDT

I like these summon monsters build teams, kill things games, I dunno what to call the genre, sorry. But Idle seems to have a really slow progression system unless you're paying, and Summoners War I'm just kinda done with. Any other suggestions for games like this that I should check out?
