| Posted: 30 Jul 2018 08:41 AM PDT OP6 uses 16 megapixels to take 4:3 photos. There is an option to take 10 megapixels with 19:9 format. I know 19:9 is just a crop reducing image size, cutting the top and bottom of photo. I would like to have an option to take 16:9 format photo. I know I can post process image cutting top and bottom to accomplish this, but I wouldn't like to always have to cut photos by myself. If there is already a 19:9, it will be nice to have 16:9. | Posted: 30 Jul 2018 08:13 PM PDT My oneplus one has been a great phone but it's definitely getting old, would the OP6 be a good buy now or should I wait the 4-5 months for the 6T? Would the 6T feature the SD855? Honestly, the only thing I'm afraid of for the 6T is the headphone jack getting axed, or the inclusion of a popup selfie camera. The 6 seems solid, and I realize that I have to make a choice sometime as tech continuously improves, but I just dont want to lose out on anything. [link] [comments]  | ||

Even the setting changed from "pocket mode prevents accidental screen touches and fingerprint activation..." to "prevents accidental screen touches." Why did they remove this? Now I can easily activate the screen while resting my hand on my phone while it's in my pocket... :/ [link] [comments]  | ||

Everything is fine except that there is a slight sent on my phone, unfortunately right at the power button. This doesn't allow me to push it down anymore. No other functionality has been affected. I'm really excited as I have been using the oneplus2 for THREE years and I'm glad the phone has lasted me this long, but it's time to let it rest. When you guys were switching from Android to Android, what method or apps did you use to do so? I know this question may have been asked in the past, but I would like a more updated reply. | Audio Tuner wasn't given much effort Posted: 30 Jul 2018 06:05 PM PDT The presets are completely off and the enhancements for different headphones aren't really specific to those headphones, the Bullets V2 preset seems to just sound best in almost every scenario... Back to the presets: Hip-Hop, Pop, etc don't really work well for their corresponding songs... Classic seems to sound best in every song type, almost anything else has a really muddy/muffled sound from their presets. Needs some work imo. I know audio is really dependent on the listener, but still this doesn't seem like they actually put any effort into it. [link] [comments]  | ||

| OP6 Three-finger screenshot gesture sucks Posted: 30 Jul 2018 04:46 PM PDT Seems to break normal three-finger touch functions in games. May have been causing some issues with normal use at times. Try a multitouch test app to see. It works if you add fingers one by one, but if you drop them all down at once, even if you don't start swiping for the gesture, it doesn't register them as normal touches. | [OnePlus 6] Phone sometimes not responding to fingerprint/ powerbutton since 5.1.9 Posted: 30 Jul 2018 12:46 PM PDT Since the latest 5.1.9 patch my phone sometimes won't unlock for 5-10 seconds when trying to use the fingerprintsensor and/ or the power button. After those 5-10 seconds the phone will unlock like it should. This happends once in 20 unlocks give or take. Any one else having this problem or does anybody know a fix I could try? | Posted: 30 Jul 2018 11:46 AM PDT Hey, so I just installed android P on my OP6 there a few minutes ago, but for some reason Snapchat is, as far as I can tell, using a completely different font than the rest of the system. Snapchats font seems to be closer to Googles Product Sans font from the Pixels. I could just be going crazy, but it is almost certainly different overall compared to the Oreo build EDIT: Ok, they are definitely different. Look at the capital Gs in each. | Posted: 30 Jul 2018 02:53 PM PDT I asked this question in the iPhone sub and resukts were as expected. Pro-iphone. Yet they gave good reasons as to why. So now I'm here with the same question. Both phones are the same price so cost isn't a factor. I'm leaning towards iPhone because of the software and software updates along with their battery life. I've also only ever used Samsung extensively when with Android but have been told that OP is a way better option to transition to when coming from iOS. Since I've never even held a OP this would be an entirely new experience for me. What are your legitimate reasons for why someone should pick the OP6 or OP as a whole? | OnePlus 6 Black Screen/Bootloop Posted: 30 Jul 2018 02:50 PM PDT Hello all, So, I've recently purchased, received and have been using a OP6 for about a week now. I wanted to see if I could try this Substratum/Andromeda (rootless) theme engine and now I've messed around and done something that I had no business doing. Long story short, my phone won't boot. There's a black screen with a OnePlus Logo. Below that are some Chinese/Japanese characters, then the word English. If I push English, I get more options: "Wipe data and cache", "Advanced", and "Exit" If I select "Advanced", I see two options: "Reboot to fastboot" and "Reboot to Recovery". Below that it just says "Ver 2.0" If I reboot to recovery it simply goes back to the beginning (once I put in the pattern code) Am I royally screwed? Do I just "Wipe Data and Cache"? Note: Again, this was rootless Substratum/Andromeda. This phone is NOT rooted. [link] [comments]  | ||
