still no worthy replacement for opengur? i just want to browse pictures without the social fluff Posted: 04 May 2018 08:51 AM PDT There's a bunch of alternative apps for uploading to imgur, but just for browsing there's still no replacement for hips simple opengur is. Is it a lost cause because of imgur limiting third party functionality? [link] [comments] |
[DEV] Chromecast draw n' guess game with custom dictionaries Posted: 04 May 2018 07:39 AM PDT Hey guys, Niklas here from Retroid. We recently made an update to PictoParty, a Nintendo Wii U game ported to Android and iOS that requires a Chromecast to play. It's a draw and guess game with up to 15 players and you can create your own dictionaries or download one made by a friend. I just want to get some feedback on the game, like is the price reasonable or should it be free with ads? Is the quality fine? Is there any missing features? High and low. As it is a paid app, here is 20 free codes, for Android of course. Have a nice weekend and May the Fourth be with you! EDIT: Here is the link to Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.retroidinteractive.pictoparty.android&hl=en EDIT2: Since it's May The Fourth, we made a dictionary of our own to celebrate this, inspired by /r/PrequelMemes, Enjoy! http://dictionary.pictoparty.com/#/view/5653041055268864 EDIT3: All the codes are gone, write a comment or DM us on twitter if you really want a code for the weekend :)

Looking for offline OCR with EN/DE/ES/PTBR support. Scanbot? Posted: 04 May 2018 09:18 AM PDT Is Scanbot my best bet or there better apps? CamScanner is too expensive for me since I don't use OCR that much. Text Fairy is slow and it's not giving me good results (ok they are good but they are not great, lots of typos) even with good lightning and clear text. Needs to be offline, I don't want to send my documents to some butt cloud. [link] [comments] |

Searching for an alarm clock app Posted: 04 May 2018 05:53 AM PDT Alarm Clock Plus is very close to the alarm that I would need, however, it has not been updated in years and does not work reliably with my new devices. The alarm trigger time can vary 10 minutes of the specified time. I tried 20 different apps on Google Play and could not find what I am looking for. My dream alarm should have the following properties:
Preferably it also has timer function. Thanks for your suggestions. [link] [comments] |

Looking for app to send and recieve SMS from PC without obnoxious permissions Posted: 03 May 2018 09:10 PM PDT Are there any apps out there that won't ask for my location/all my files/etc just to send and receive SMS to and from my android phone? I just checked Airdroid and Join, and both ask for the full gamut of permissions. [link] [comments] |
[DEV] Zap Out - Shoot The Ball; any feedback is welcome Posted: 04 May 2018 11:15 AM PDT Hey guys, Zap Out is one of my first attempts at creating a game with Unity and the only one to make it to the market so far. My friends seem to like it & a couple of them actually had like a 1 month battle over the first spot in the leaderboards; but the game doesn't seem to get any traction on the store (downloads, reviews, etc); it's sitting at 335 downloads (55 active installs) and it was originally published on 9 Aug 2017. The main mechanic of the game is shooting a ball through narrow gaps in shapes. The shapes & cannon rotate in opposite directions and increase their rotation speed as the levels increase. The shapes change after every level (they will repeat randomly). At higher levels, the shapes will also start changing their size. Score is based on the number of successful shots. If you hit the shape, it's game over and you have to start over (or continue using gems - gems mechanic is explained below). You can download the game from Google Play. I'm looking to get some feedback on it - what you like / what you dislike? things that you think would make the game more catchy - as to determine someone to share the game with a friend / challenge him, etc. To explain a bit what I've done: - this is the first app that I've done & published with Unity; main purpose was to learn - game is made using the Shoot the Ball Unity asset which does most of the heavy lifting - I've modified the asset code to include new functionality / modify existing functionality (quite a few new shapes/obstacles, different ways of increasing difficulty, different way to handle the levels / background colors, etc.) - there aren't any interstitial/banner ads in the game. Monetization is based on reward ads / IAP. I've added Gems as some sort of an in-game currency. You gain 2 gems after every 3 successful shots. If you "die" you can use 25 gems to resume the game for where you've failed; thus keeping your score. Additionally you can get more gems by watching reward videos or through IAP; the game is fully playable though without watching any ads/any IAP. - I've integrated with Google Play Games for social leaderboards and achievements so you can compare scores with friends / global. Again, you can download the game from Google Play - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.outworldapps.zapout Also, some images: Image1 - https://i.imgur.com/ODANglc.png Image2 - https://i.imgur.com/7aXeJyp.png Image3 - https://i.imgur.com/A8KC7Se.png Image4 - https://i.imgur.com/ggiX7MG.png Looking forward to your feedback! How it works: This gives you a chance to meet/ hang out with your friends. The app also shows you the cafes, pubs, shopping malls, restaurants near you so that you can meet your friend there. Anyone else given up on even the regular FB mobile site & just use mbasic? Posted: 04 May 2018 06:03 AM PDT I know some on here swear by the wrapper apps, but this is pretty much all I use these days, i know it doesn't provide notifications, but messaging functionally is still within the site & that's a huge plus, because that's an extra app I don't have to install. Also, the minimal data usage & lack of creepy permissions puts Facebook "lite" (lol) & Messenger "lite" (also lol) to shame. So my question is this: how long before Mark Zuckerberg realises this & it gets shitcanned? [link] [comments] |

[DEV] Slick Note Take Notes Fast (150 Promo Codes Giveaway for In-App) Posted: 03 May 2018 05:48 PM PDT https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htdwps.slackernote2 I created this application for Android, it is a free to download app for taking quick notes, the app has ads on it. For being one of the first users of this application I want to provide 150 promo codes for users to use which will help you remove advertisements from the app. I would like to ask that you help me out by leaving feedback or a rating for the app, if you have some comments or suggestions that negatively affect your experience with using the app I would love to hear about it first and see if I can rectify it rather than receive a ding on the app's rating, I can be reached here or via my email that's on the app's page. I do honestly hope that users find my app remotely useful, and will download it and give it a try. Have a good day everyone. Here is a link to grab a promo code, 1 per user please. Should I trust these scan results? Posted: 04 May 2018 12:54 AM PDT Scan results of Anti Adware app Here are the details of my problem. Since the past week I've been getting random popups. What happens is that while I'm doing stuff on my phone, my browser (Yuzu) opens randomly with a website I don't know. This did sort of start happening after the last update to Yuzu, however I find this odd since its a trusted open-source app. As for YouTube (iYTBP version + Dark UI) I don't suspect it because I haven't updated it since I installed it, it's never given me any problems since I used it, and its a trusted project from the XDA forums. So, anyone have any thoughts? Also, if anyone here knows what Airpush is please tell me. Edit: I updated YouTube Vanced and downgraded Yuzu browser. So far no random links. My suspicion is now leaning more towards the Yuzu browser update, might be too early to say though. I'll keep using my phone for a while and see what happens. [link] [comments] |
