Anyone else sick and tired of OnePlus... Posted: 03 May 2018 08:59 AM PDT Anyone else sick and tired of OnePlus [fill in complaint based upon unrealistic expectations or entitlement]. After all, I paid a well below market price for one of the best devices on the market. I expect OnePlus to cater to my every need in the name of community feedback! All of the other cell phone companies do this so well. It just grinds my gears that arguably the smoothest and intuitive experiences on Android isn't tweaked to my exact specifications. Given that everything in life should be completely tailored to my specifications, I am well within my cultural mores to complain about this. Also [insert variation of camera dots complaint]. I am totally going to switch to [insert thing you won't switch too because there are a set of tradeoffs there too]. [link] [comments]

OnePlus One, going four years strong. Anyone out there like me? Posted: 03 May 2018 03:49 PM PDT Curious to know if there are any others like me, holding on to their beloved device. Bought at launch, and going four straight long years, without an upgrade. Just don't really feel their is any good replacement phone for me out there, however, the One now has been showing signs of aging. A slight hiccup here or there, nothing too biggie. Still can make it through a day with light to medium usage. Battery life is not what it used to be, but that's okay. It's my baby. I love this phone. It's cracked in the edges from where I dropped it a thousand times, but the screen has never cracked. It's the perfect phone, and I love it. I'll continue to use the phone until it dies on me. But I have no rush to switch, upgrade or change phones. However, my next phone I've decided is going to be the Honor 7x. It looks amazing for the price point. If you no longer use the OnePlus One anymore, what phone have you upgraded to? Curious to know. [link] [comments]
Launch day OnePlus 3 can no longer connect to the internet Posted: 03 May 2018 09:50 AM PDT Hey there, So I bought the OnePlus 3 at launch when it came out and was pretty happy with it. Just recently my 3G connection died when I was in the car home, and entering airplane mode and leaving didn't fix it like it normally would. I rebooted my phone, only to find it couldn't even get a signal on my data SIM (despite the fact both SIMs are on the same network). I eventually found that with one SIM card in, it worked fine and went with that. Once I got home, I rebooted my phone and found I couldn't connect to WiFi. The MAC address is listed as "Unavailable" and is being stored on the phone as 02:00:00:00:00:00. Bluetooth works fine, NFC works fine and even mobile data now works fine. The phone wasn't dropped nor exposed to water, it simply stopped working while in the car and then I got in the door at home and found I can no longer connect to my WiFi. Any idea what to do? I ran the unbrick tool, I tried three different Android versions and none of it worked. Same problems on each. My EFS partitions are also fully intact, I pulled them and they're grand. I also took a logcat of what happens when I try to enable WiFi. It basically follows what's below. https://gist.github.com/danijeel/484cfa589ea31128300ef70d808de2f9 Can anybody help me please? I'm getting pretty desperate here. Thanks and all the best. [link] [comments]
What's your favourite tweak to your OnePlus device? Posted: 03 May 2018 11:35 AM PDT For me it's definitely Ozone Substratum Theme, for custom accent colors. Default blue looks absolutely terrible on dark theme. Looks like Jellybean :P [link] [comments]
What's with the coloured haze on the lockscreen and notification menu after the update? Posted: 03 May 2018 02:06 PM PDT I'm getting a coloured (usually green) haze on my lockscreen and notification menu after the update - it looks awful, and doesn't seem to serve a purpose. [link] [comments]
Lower battery life after 8.1 update on OP 5T Posted: 03 May 2018 11:17 AM PDT Noticable lower battery life. Does anyone else experience the same issue? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 May 2018 12:31 PM PDT Hey, so I just bought new pretty good bluetooth headphones and I was trying to find the codec option, where you can choose AptX and AptX HD and all that... it used to be under advanced but I see it's not anymore. Anybody know where I can find these options? I have Android 8.1 and the newest open beta (7 I think). [link] [comments]
I am looking to buy a replacement screen for my Oneplus One. Posted: 03 May 2018 05:59 PM PDT I want to get one off of aliexpress. The thing is, they give you a choice of whether you one WITH a screen or without out one. Which one do I choose? I need to replace the screen because it got cracked. [link] [comments]
Oneplus 5T would not switch on or charge Posted: 03 May 2018 11:59 AM PDT I was using the OP 5T to watch video until its battery was drained and I finally thought its time to connect the charger and go to sleep. Strangely, it would neither charge, nor switch on. I've tried the original dash charger and another charger I used to charge it. Both chargers are working well with other phones. There was absolutely no problem 10 minutes ago when the phone switched off automatically. This is my first OnePlus and hardly 5 months into use, with no physical damage at all. My last phone was a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and served me well. Is the hardware of OnePlus that shaky? [link] [comments]
OnePlus 3T Rear Camera does not auto focus. Posted: 03 May 2018 03:13 PM PDT Whenever I'm on any camera application, it will not auto focus. I have tried using manual focus as well and it doesn't even do anything. There are times where it will auto focus but then it will go back to being out of focus the next second. This happened right after I factory reset my phone and I updated it to the newest open beta [26]. I have tried using the stable build and that same problem persists on that as well. People are telling me that it's the camera sensor that's faulty and I really don't want to pay for a fix if it's not needed and it's something else that's making it like this. [link] [comments]
OP5 screen freezing multiple times a day - requires reboot Posted: 03 May 2018 07:00 AM PDT I've had this phone for about a year with no issues until recently. I get this weird problem where my screen will become unresponsive until I reboot. The only button that works during this time is the home button. I've tried wiping the cache and that doesn't help. It's happening four or five times a day now and it's making it difficult to continue using the phone. Does anybody know what's going on? Or have any suggestions? I'm really frustrated. Is anyone else having issues while trying to log into OnePlus.com? Posted: 03 May 2018 01:01 AM PDT It keeps saying my email/password is incorrect. I'd reset it, try to login with the new password, still incorrect [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 May 2018 09:42 AM PDT I charged my 5t to 100% and as the day went it was 3hrs of sot with about 50% battery. I used my phone as I regularly do and I was at 20% with 3hr and 47 minute of sot. Wtf happened I did a factory reset I still face this issue. Below 50-45% I get barely 1hr of sot [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 May 2018 11:23 PM PDT So I want to flash the AICP rom but it talks about firmware requirements do I just have to also flash the firmware release 5.1 as well when I flash the gapps and rom? [link] [comments]
Any chance of a Aussie release of the OP6? Posted: 02 May 2018 10:08 PM PDT Hey folks of One Plus, Brother bought a 5t a few months ago and has been raving about it ever since. Just recently saw that the new OP6 was releasing end of the month and i was wondering if they had any chance of covering Australia? I saw they had a little popup for the OP5 back when it was new (but not the 5t iirc), so I was just wondering if anyone knew what my chances were of them having one again? Website doesn't look promising though. Cheers! [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 May 2018 09:35 PM PDT So my screen cracked on my 5t and I am looking to get it repaired. One plus gave my an estimate of 87usd as an estimate. I have a feeling it's going to cost me over 200 usd when alls said and done. I found a place near me that has the screen and will replace it for 140 usd. Any experiences w/ one plus repair or 3rd party repair? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 May 2018 11:40 AM PDT OnePlus finally stepping their game up! Does anybody know exactly when the transition from .net to .com happened? [link] [comments]
Odds if Daydream VR support on OP6? Posted: 02 May 2018 08:36 PM PDT I've been a one plus supporter since the original and have owned every phone in one version or another. I'm excited for the OP6 but I'm worried it may not support Google Daydream VR which is increasingly becoming a necessity for my needs. Have there been any announcements on this front? I'm sure I could root and make it work but prefer not to that stuff nowadays. [link] [comments] |
