    OP5 128gb: Occasional lag since 5.1?

    Has anyone else noticed occasional spells of laggy scrolling every now and then? I've only noticed it since the last major update to 5.1, but it's getting kinda annoying.

    Also, did the Show CPU Usage option in Developer Tools go away? I could have swore there was an option there to enable an overlay that displays CPU hogging activities.

    [5T] What is Ambient Display? <Not a total noob question

    Ambient Display in all videos that I saw is the same as "Turn on display on notifications". But I don't know when, OnePlus changed that and now "Wake screen on notifications" is an option inside Ambient Display. I can have Ambient Display ON while "Wake screen on notifications" is OFF. Plus the Lift up display option does not exist anymore. I'm a bit confused.

    OP5: is there a way to disable the 'xxx app is using battery/location/data' notification?

    It's a pretty annoying notification and it happens for many apps. I know it's an OS level notification - how do we disable it on Oxygen OS? I am on 8.1.1 on a OP5

    Update to 8.1 - Gestures help

    I read a lot about this iphone X type gestures. Can't find where or how to use it. Are those in this last update? Some said I can solve the problem of hitting home button all the time while typing. The normal gestures like O for camera, V for flashlight etc I already used in 8.0.

    In the market for a new phone. Would you recommend a OnePlus 5T?

    Hi guys, as the title suggests I am looking at buying a new phone.

    What are some things you like about the OnePlus5T? What are some things you don't like? I heard that there are some issues with the camera - what does relate to? Is there anything particularly about the phone that I'd need to be weary about? As the phone is quite cheap for what it's providing, does the brand generally have a reputation for their phones failing after 2 years?

    I'm not a very intensive user; I mainly use it for browsing the web, FB, Whatsapp, Snapchat, Messenger etc. I'd like to buy a phone that looks good, has a good battery, is reliable and will be usable even after 3 years and has very little bloatware.

    Having battery problems on my oneplus 5

    Ever since I have upgraded to Oreo, not a day goes by without me regretting my decision to upgrade the OS. So before Oreo, I used to get 7-8 hrs of SOT, but nowadays I barely get 4-5 hrs of SOT and the problem has worsened ever since I decided to clear out cache on my phone. Is there any other solution for extending my battery life other than clearing caches, factory resets, turning off the automatic brightness and the wireless networks which are not in use anymore ? I have tried all the tips that are mentioned here https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/op3-3t-battery-and-heating-tips-nougat-oreo.542075/ but still no improvement.     Instagram constantly crashing?

    My instagram app is constantly crashing for no apparent reason. I updated, tried to join the beta test, but it is still crashing. I have the latest Oreo Update on my OnePlus5T. Is anyone experiencing the same issue?

    Stable rom for oneplus one?

    So I'm running cyanogen OS 12.1 Android 5.1.1 and it's god damn slow. Sometimes it's running Okey but most of the time really laggy. Been looking into lineage OS for oreo but its still only nightly. Is there a stable rom that you recommend for oneplus one?

    Anyone having Bluetooth connectivity issues with their OnePlus 3T after the Oreo update?

    Everytime I connect my Bluetooth to my car I seem to lose connection or the audio is all weird after I try to make a call via Google assistant. Anyone experienced anything similar?

    Anyway of flashing OOS 5.1.1 without losing data?

    I know it was possible when I had nexus. I would just opt out flashing the userdata.img file. Is there anyway to do this? I am aware of the onplus backup app but then thats just too much work and time consuming.

    5t cellular data not working

    For some reason even after completely factory resetting my phone, my cellular data doesn't work no matter what settings I change. I have at&t. Has anyone else run into this issue?? I'm completely stumped on what to do

    Turn off screen with buttons or gesture?

    I decided to use navigation gestures and I lost some features. One of them being double tap to turn screen off. I searched for an widget that would do this but then when I wake up the phone it says the device was locked by an administrator which in the case I need to unlock with pattern (does not accept fingerprint or face - just like when you reboot the phone).

    So that is not a viable option. Is there any way to turn the screen off without using the power button?

    After updating to Android 8.1.0 i've noticed that the lock-screen has this slight highlighting and greying effect to the wallpaper. Meaning having a pitch black (amoled) wallpaper on this amoled screen..is useless 😅

    Charging problems on my OnePlus X

    Since the last few days, my phone has started charging at a really low rate. Earlier I used to be able to get a full charge in just about 2 hours. Now even if I keep it docked for a full night, I get about 60-70 percent. I downloaded an app called Ampere and it said that my phone was charging at around a range of 10 mA to 800 mA. That a really wide range. I don't know at which rate it used to get charged earlier so if anyone with a OnePlus X could check that for me then I would be thankful. Any other suggestions are welcome. I have tried different docks, different chargers (Not OnePlus), but nothing worked. Please help.

    Screen keeps locking

    I am reading something on Reddit or scrolling down a page and randomly the screen locks and I have to use finger print to get back to what I was looking at. Also noticed it occasionally says no SIM as this happens. Anyone else have this issue? It's getting annoying now.

    Oneplus 5 camera not recording videos

    I have used this phone for about 6 months now, I've had no issues so far but today when I tried to record a video in snapchat it said video recording failed, I tried to record a video in the camera app, again it said video recording failed. I updated my phone almost as the new update came. Does someone know how to fix this.

    Update device with unlocked bootloader? Assistance would be appreciated :)

    I know this question has been asked before, but would it be fine to update my OP5 with an unlocked bootloader? My only concern is that i had to use a nandroid backup before because the installation of a custom ROM failed so I'm running on a backup I made. Could that cause any complications?

    I used to be well into the rooting/custom ROM scene but I haven't really done it much in recent times hence why I'm asking for reassurance :)

    Suspecting that my new Oneplus 5t has battery issues???

    Hi so a couple of days ago i got my new oneplus 5t :DDD. I was super excited but then after a couple days of using it i suspected that there might be something wrong with the battery. A couple of days after i got my phone the battery usage for my screen was around 10% and now its 21% with the phone idle taking up 15%. Is this normal?? I still ahve a week or so if i want to return the phone but i think i have to pay 10% so not really looking to returning it and getting the exact same performance with the battery. Thanks!! (And is there anyway to put ss's in my post? I have some of my battery)

    Did my text message send? (OP5)

    Hey!

    Is there any way to tell if a text message went through? Conversely, will the app ALWAYS sent you a Failed Delivery report if the message did not go through?

    I know there is the delivery report feature, but I am wondering if retroactively, one can tell if the message was delivered?

    (Basically, I copied a long ass text message from Facebook messenger, then pasted and sent it via the default messaging app. Got that "converting from multimedia" notification, or whatever, sent it. And it appeared to send, but the preview says "No subject". I know the recipient is using a blackberry, running android I believe).
