Laptop recommendation for construction/student Posted: 23 Apr 2018 01:02 PM PDT I'm looking for a laptop I can use for school and for work as a project engineer. I would like a 2 in 1 capable device that can run programs like revit. Long battery life, portability, and screen brightness are big for me. I'm willing to spend a lot if it's the best product for me. Thank you [link] [comments]
Hp Envy 13t. Keyboard light doesn’t turn off. Posted: 23 Apr 2018 02:09 PM PDT Specs: Hp 13t. 8550u 16gb mx150 512gb 4k. I have this odd issue where the keyboard light does not turn off. The laptop also doesn't sleep. The screen turns off after a few min but the laptop does not sleep. Last night I left it on and the laptop idled to death. I've uninstalled the Intel management engine interface MEI drivers and it doesn't help. [link] [comments]

Do they sell SMALL laptop cooling pads? Posted: 23 Apr 2018 01:50 PM PDT I bought a cooling pad advertised as for a 12"-17" laptop, and this thing is a giant monstrosity that dwarfs my little XPS 13. Do they sell SMALL ones for a 13" laptop? [link] [comments]

Dell Inspiron 7577: Differences between IN-RD33-10606, IN-RD33-10306 and N7577-9132? Posted: 23 Apr 2018 06:10 AM PDT In my country (non English) I see 3 different versions of the laptop at 3 different prices (about 50 bucks more for each subsequent version): IN-RD33-10606 IN-RD33-10306 and N7577-9132 I've tried searching online in other places but couldn't find any English sites mentioning those version IDs. They all seem to be the same but wondering if any of you knew a difference? [link] [comments]
Laptop not turning on? Please help Posted: 23 Apr 2018 01:37 PM PDT So I just opened up my ASUS G751JL and cleaned out the fans in the inside. I reconnected all the cables and screws and put everything back together the way it was. I have my laptop plugged into the wall and the battery icon is orange. However, when I try to turn it on, nothing happens. Can anyone please help? [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 Apr 2018 07:59 AM PDT How's the performance of this card with older games? I've been thinking to get one but when I was looking at one in a store, I happened to use that Can I Run It site and on games such as Witcher 2, it was telling me it can do Minimum. Is the card really this weak or is that program really in accurate? [link] [comments]

What are your thoughts on this? DO you guys think the new models would be considerably better than the older ones and at a reasonable price (I can afford no more than 1300$)? How much do you guys think the prices are going to fall? [link] [comments]

Which Size laptop should i buy? Posted: 23 Apr 2018 07:43 AM PDT I currently have a 14' laptop that I surf the Internet on and watch shows on laying on my belly in bed; it is too small, but should I go 15.6' or 17' inch with my next one? Will 17' inch be too big? Edit: I like to lay on my belly, pillow under my chin and look at the screen. I have about a foot, or a bit less than a foot, from the screen to my eyes. looking for Lenovo T480 alternative Posted: 23 Apr 2018 07:36 AM PDT
I am looking for a durable ~14' laptop with a battery close to 100 wh. The only one i can find is the Lenovo T480. Only problem is that i like to work outside and 250 nits is just not bright enough. 8th gen i5 with 16 gb ram would be perfect. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thx in advance. [link] [comments]
