HTC Question concerning the HTC One A9... |
Question concerning the HTC One A9... Posted: 26 Apr 2018 07:32 PM PDT Not sure if this is the proper sub for questions or not, if not, please redirect me to where I should ask. I have a broken HTC One A9 that hasn't been in use for some time. The touch sensor is pretty broken and the display doesn't turn on, but the phone will vibrate and make noises, given it's charged and the power button is held. I wish to get the items off of the phone's internal storage (such as pictures) but it has an encryption password on startup (a pattern password...) that would be impossible to input. My brother tampered with it for a while and may have even surpassed the 30 attempt limit and erased the data, but I can't be sure. My main question is: is it possible to access files on the internal storage without the phone being decrypted on boot? I can access the SD card fine, obviously, but the internal storage is where most of the content lies... [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Apr 2018 02:04 PM PDT Will this phone get any software update/upgrade any time soon? Last thing I got was the security update in November 2017. I'm still stuck with Android 6 and I'm kinda worried that HTC forgot about this phone. Does anyone know any news? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Apr 2018 12:44 PM PDT So, I have a HTC 10, although I hear the issue is there in U11 etc, as well. Before the upgrade, I could have my gmail and text messages app have different sounds, but after the upgrade, they only use the "default notification sound" and trying to change it, changes the default sound for everything. I've read online that someone heard from HTC that it was a bug and they were working on a fix, this was dated in february. I got in touch with HTC chat tonight myself and the dude told me that was misinformation, google is at fault and HTC can and will do nothing. (according to him). Does anyone have anything tangible I can go on? I really miss being able to tell email, text messages and random app notifications apart. [link] [comments] |
