HELP::Multiple Touch-Screen Support?? NON EXISTENT?? Posted: 25 Apr 2018 02:37 PM PDT Hello all! I've posted this before.. but didn't get ANY help. Does ANYBODY have a fix for multiple touch-screen support? I can only really "use" one touch screen.. I'd assume due to having a single curser, within an "undefined" space.. Maybe there needs to be 3 separate cursers.. one for each touch screen?? Please help! Below is my original post's content: I have recently purchased three touch screen monitors, to use simultaneously... However, I'm not finding a function within Windows that allows this. I can only transmit touch-data to my primary display. Can anyone help? I have done the whole: Control Panel -> Tablet PC Settings -> Setup route, and I have labeled each screen as a touch screen monitor, through the setup. I can touch all three monitors, and get a response - however that response is only on my primary monitor (which does happen to be a touch screen). Within the "Tablet PC Settings" window, under "Display options" it has the following information and options available for each screen: Screen 1: "No Pen or Touch Input is available for this Display" Screen 2: "No Pen or Touch Input is available for this Display" Screen 3: "Limited Touch Support" The Calibration option is available... But still, not necessary to have 2 extra touch screens, if they do not work. Please help! [link] [comments]

[Help] Windows 8.1, icons have disappeared from desktop, taskbar and file explorer. Posted: 25 Apr 2018 03:51 AM PDT Solution: Installing Windows 10 made the icons return. I have yet to inspect everything, but everything seems to be working fine. A couple days ago the start button in the taskbar became unclickable. I restarted the PC, and it worked fine. However, since then, I've had some problems with icons shown in the pictures below. Anyone have experience with this? Icons missing in file explorer Taskbar, bonus file explorer issue Right-clicking file explorer shows parts of the icons. I can't open any files' properties via file explorer, which is why I think there's an issue with the file explorer. [link] [comments]
Win 10 seems crippled on my machine (OS access going very slowly) Posted: 25 Apr 2018 06:05 PM PDT When the computer is fully ready, most programs and tasks work fine. However when something tries to access the OS, it will freeze for minutes on end. For example, I cannot access many settings, and closing Windows is out of the question, it seems to lock up indefinitely. If I wait long enough, programs will work properly again. I can navigate through the settings but it takes time to load. [link] [comments]
Switching between long and short time formats? Posted: 25 Apr 2018 01:13 PM PDT When I installed Windows 10, I was presented with an option to use short or long formats for the time display. I chose long, but now I'd like to revert to short. Every single help thread on changing the date format mentions having to set custom formats because there isn't any way to switch between long or short - except clearly this is set somewhere in the system, since I'm using the long format by default. Posted: 25 Apr 2018 08:54 AM PDT Good morning. A few years back when I was working with a contractor to changeover to a new domain, he enabled a GP that prevents users from Shutting Down, Resetting, and Sleep. I've gone through everything on our Primary and Secondary Domain Controllers with no luck trying to revert this. What I want to do it return the ability to restart the computers, but disallow them from Powering Down. And our "support" (for a lack of a better term) is trying to push out "secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose" to all machines. This seems ridiculous coupled with them believing it was a Windows Update that caused this issue in the first place. Ideas? [link] [comments]

Is there software like Mac's Better Touch Tools for Windows? Posted: 25 Apr 2018 07:03 AM PDT Better Touch Tools is a program on Mac that lets you add gestures to your trackpad. You can assign the new gesture to do anything from opening a new tab in Chrome, to launching a new program, to minimizing all of your windows. This is done by telling the gesture what hotkey the command uses. As long as it has a hotkey, BTT should be able to handle it. Now that I'm using Windows 10 and a mouse, I'm looking for a new mouse with extra buttons, hoping to reassign the buttons to those commands I just mentioned. Some commands I want to do are: 1 - Switch Desktop Left 2 - Switch Desktop Right 3 - Go back in webpage 4 - Go forward in webpage 5 - Refresh page 6 - Scroll to top of page 7 - Open link in new tab 8 - Maximize program on screen 9 - Show all programs 10 - Show windows for this program 11 - Close window 12 - Switch to Desktop 1 13 - Switch to Desktop 3 14 - Go to next tab in Chrome 15 - Go to previous tab in Chrome Here are the two I'm looking at right now. The wireless G602. Or the wired UtechSmart Venus. If I use the wireless G602 with less buttons, can I program it to react to two button presses at the same time? Basically, Button One has a command, and Button Two has a command, and then Button One + Two at the same time has a 3rd command. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
Multiple RDP Users running multiple versions of the same program? Posted: 25 Apr 2018 05:00 AM PDT Hello! Sorry if the topic is a bit vague, but not sure if there even is a solution or even if i can make myself understood. But i'll try my best! We have a computer, with a program that we can run multiple instances of, we can remote login to the computer and use that program. But we want to be able to login with more than one user, and have each user access the program by themselves. The issue is if we use remote login with more than 1 user they share the same desktop and can therefor not use the program at the same time even though we can run more than 1 copy of it at the same time. Thank you for any tips or ideas. [link] [comments]
how can i remove cortana and connect from start menu? Posted: 25 Apr 2018 12:27 PM PDT its getting annoying i have tried debloater apps it seems like there are still fishy stuff are ruining my system [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Apr 2018 11:05 PM PDT Think about it. No one is an expert in "Tech support" but many, myself included are experts in "Windows 10 support" or "Linux support" or "Office support". So I would follow the subjects I am fluent in and I would see less things I don't know about. Thus the askers would get better answers as only people who have stated that they have the knowledge to answer would see it. [link] [comments]
Regular BSOD in Windows 10 laptop with SSD Posted: 24 Apr 2018 10:00 PM PDT Hello, I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 5570 and installed an Intel SSD on it (model pekk360g7h). I initially had issues installing Windows on it but was solved when I disconnected the HDD prior to installation. Everything seemed fine but I am not getting regular blue screen issues. This happens sometimes when I launch task manager or go to the help--about section of any program. It also happens during general use. Is there a driver or fix for this issue? [link] [comments]
Windows 10 keeps logging out automatically Posted: 24 Apr 2018 09:10 PM PDT I haven't found the actual idle time needed. But I often come back to my computer with my screen off, this is normal. When I wiggle the mouse around to turn it on it wants me to enter my password and it logs me in with all of my programs closed. This has been only happening for about a week but its driving me crazy. I have disabled my display auto-off. I have looked in my power settings and sleeping is off. I disabled my screen saver and today I came back and it logged me out with out turning off my screen. Solution here: https://old.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/8equf0/xpost_rwindows_windows_10_keeps_logging_me_off/?st=jgfcix4x&sh=d0d9ad07 What can I do to fix this? [link] [comments] |
