| New version of the OnePlus Camera app(v.2.5.27). Works on OOS 5.0.4! Posted: 30 Mar 2018 12:58 PM PDT There is a new version of the OnePlus Camera app on XDA(v.2.5.27), derived from the OOS beta 5. You can install the digitally signed apk from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76065765&postcount=2337 It works without issues on 5.0.4(stable). I think I can see some improvements on the HQ mode, on v.2.5.25 it was kinda hit or miss, now the results are more consistent. With the HDR off mode, it's pretty much the same(the detail/sharpness improved quite a bit since 2.5.23). At least I don't see any evident regressions VS 2.5.25. Give it a try! [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 30 Mar 2018 07:41 PM PDT I purchased a spiegen tough armor case and feel that the raised edge isn't high enough for my liking. The OtterBox on my iPhone 5 was twice as high and gave me the perception it has more protection if the phone were to fall face down. Has anyone owned both cases and can tell me if the OnePlus 5 OtterBox case does indeed have more of a raised edge than the spiegen case? Second question: what tempered glass screen protectors both fill the whole screen and still fit these cases? I see a lot of cases and protectors claim to be compatible with one another which makes me wonder if there are some to avoid / use. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 30 Mar 2018 01:37 PM PDT If they're sticking with a notch at the top and a bezel at the bottom, how are they going to achieve a 0.9 screen to body ratio (as the CEO told The Verge) when even the Essential Phone couldn't do it (85%) with their tiny notch? | Posted: 30 Mar 2018 05:55 PM PDT Every time I turn on Bluetooth, my phone crashes. I can enable it, but searching for other devices causes it to crash. I'm able to lock the device, but then it doesn't come back on until I hold power & volume down for a while. Not a big problem, don't really use Bluetooth, but it's an annoying issue to have if ever I do need Bluetooth. Bluetooth is on when the phone is finally back on, though, and I can turn it off without a problem. Anyone had the same issue or know how to fix this? [link] [comments]  |

My phone died while I was using youtube. I might have gotton it a little wet while washing my hands? it was under my elbow and water dripped down....? I'm not so sure. | 5t dual SIM. Active or Standby? Posted: 30 Mar 2018 08:52 AM PDT I need a phone that if talking on sim 1 and someone calls sim 2, it will beep in. From what I've read, the 5t is dual SIM standby. Meaning if I am talking on sim1 and someone calls sim2, there will be no alert nor missed call notification. Which won't work for me. And contrary to that, I've read that the 5t has been updated to be an active dual SIM setup. Where as if I am in a call on sim1, and someone calls sim2, it will ring through. | Oreo android system taking up more battery than screen Posted: 30 Mar 2018 01:51 PM PDT Ever since updating to Oreo on my 3T I've always seen that Android system has been higher than screen in the battery breakdown. I've tried all the betas and stables and it's consistently like that. I've been wondering, is it just Oreo displaying like this? I always remember nougat with the screen taking up more battery than Android system. What are others' battery stats looking like? Battery isn't terrible but it's pretty average now at around 3-4 SOT whereas in nougat it was always at around 6. The Mate 10 pro seems to have better camera and battery life but I heard that there are some software issues with their OS . Should I get the OnePlus 5t for the variety of roms and better OS or the Mate 10 Pro for better camera and battery? I guessed it was a background update, but I didn't really mind because I actually like this feature. Today it suddenly went back to changing ring volume. Has this happened to anyone else?
