Tactical Monsters Review : Impressive Game! Posted: 14 Feb 2018 11:24 AM PST I first played Tactical Monsters: Rumble Arena during Early Access, and I picked it up again recently and I am really impressed with how far the game has come. First, the core game play is turn-based tactics on a hex grid. The game is easily accessible for new players, but the mechanics have a surprising amount of depth (as demonstrated by the in-game puzzles!) once you get some experience. The thing that I like most about the game is the wide-variety of mechanically distinct "monster" units. Most of the units in the game are good in the right circumstances (or against the right opposition) even the creatures that you unlock early on in the Adventure Mode. This leads to very interesting team-building and I really enjoy trying to get the most of different monsters (by setting up my team appropriately). The game features a nice balance of PvP and PvE game modes (including both an adventure mode with standard PvE battles and a more puzzle-driven proving grounds. There is no energy system, and so you can play as much PvP or PvE as you want, whenever you want to. (I have never really understood why developers create energy systems that limit gameplay and make the game less fun.) The business model seems reasonable for a Free-To-Play title. Yes, there is premium currency, but the developer is quite generous with the currency. (You can get a bunch of currency as a new player, and then if you keep playing, the developer periodically mails significant amounts of free currency to all players.) Also, match-making is quite good, and so playing a bit of PvE, you quickly reach the point where you can find fun/fair PvP battles even as a new player who hasn't spent money. If you enjoy turn-based tactics, I strongly recommend giving the game a shot. I have found the game to have fun core mechanics and a lot of interesting content. (And if you played during Early Access, you should pick up the game again ... there is a lot more content than there was early-on and balance is much improved!) [link] [comments]

Anyone try Ashworld by OrangePixel? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 08:15 PM PST Playstore link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orangepixel.ashworld I'm a fan of OrangePixel and have gotten all of his stuff (mostly via humble bundles) but Ashworld looks fairly new (last update was Jan30, 2018). It's also currently on sale. Anyone here try it? I'm getting a Fallout demake vibe out of it, how close am I? [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Feb 2018 03:21 PM PST As the title says, i would like to find some strategy game where my game style can be turtle (defensive). I am tired to play games where i need to be offensive. Game that i played like that was Ogame few years back and i had blast, it's kinda cool when u have impenetrable defense. [link] [comments]
What's the best "redundant" named game you've played? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 02:29 PM PST We are aware of how a plagued mess Google Play was. If you saw a post regarding fake FFXV pocket earlier, you'll be thinking "Who the f*ck would fall in this scam". But sometimes when browsing through games category, there will be the one that you'll think "Wow looks cool. Gonna try downloading this one." So what's the best redundant or generated named game you have ever played? Mine is Sniper 3D Assassin : Shoot to Kill by Fun Games for Free. The game is simple, find the target and kill him, which adds the addictiveness to the game. I think it is one of the sniper game in the market as it is simple enough to play by many. Games like Lonewolf (and Tactical Assassin although they're just the same) along with Hitman Sniper hailed as the greatest sniper game for android yet its complexity is hard to play and master, which leds to be drop by those who played it in the first minute. Yet this game just manage to be easy yet have engrossing gameplay, which is why I still played it. What's the best name generated redundant named game you've played? [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Feb 2018 04:05 AM PST So I've been searching endlessly in the playstore for games that I like only to finish it, uninstall and move on to the next game the problem is there's no more games that interest me! The game that I truly love the most is "Pirates and traders" but sadly I cannot find any more games similar to it. Few games come to mind like "Viking tycoon" that is similar but not quite as it's not fully developed and there's a heap of problems there. I guess you could say I'm a fan of games that revolve around conquering lands and trading along with war concepts. I find it quite amusing when i fight against people/AI on fair grounds in various era's while I trade, buying low and selling high, amassing armies etc. On a side note I like to play games like Clash of Kings, War and Order etc but the problem I have with those games are its 100% Pay to win type of game which I detest the most. Like what's the point of calling it a strategy game when players with money play god in a supposed "Strategy based game". There's literally no game like that, that is purely skill based. If only they made a server which is purely skill based and no packs/bundles bullshit. If you know of a game like that but purely F2P without these purchases that make the player unbeatable, let me know. [link] [comments]
looking for a bluetooth gamepad with lowest possible latency, any recommendations? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 08:37 AM PST i know a lot of factors can affect latency, but in your experience, which gamepad have you used that had the lowest latency going over bluetooth? probably not relevant but my phone is an LG V20. i currently have a mocute 050, and while it is useable, the lag is bad enough that i am significantly worse at DKC2 (emulated) than i am with a wired controller emulated on a PC or on a real SNES. i can't play with twitchy movements and am constantly missing small platforms that i would almost never have trouble with otherwise. on a side note, has anyone else used the mocute 050, and what was your experience with latency? this is my first bluetooth controller and the only one i've used aside from the ps3 and 4 controllers used on their respective consoles, which i don't think counts. i don't have a big point of reference for the performance of this thing, so for all i know the latency is already pretty low compared to other gamepads out there and i shouldn't be needing to look for something better. Posted: 14 Feb 2018 10:52 AM PST So I've been doing some digging on this game (which is dead probably - thanks netmarble). I am level 50 and have slowed down alot, way to many exp orbs, no way to progress gear and well amongst other things. There's really not alot of information out about this game which is sad because it is really fun hack and slash RPG. I was wondering if anyone has a discord that plays this game that can help me out a little bit? Thanks guys [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Feb 2018 12:42 AM PST So I've been itching to play through Final Fantasy 4, 6 and 9 and thought why not play them on my phone. I looked in the store and realised I have 2 options, emulate or get the ports? Which would be preferable, do the ports have improvements, control well, have a constant online requirement, run well? Do Square Enix often run sales for these, or is there a guess of when they might next go down? As for an emulator which is the best to use as far as PSX goes? Would a gamepad be recommended or are virtual fine? Thanks for any help. [link] [comments]
