I am not used to computer so this might be a stupid question... A friend asked me to write the command uname -r for reasons on linux system pc... And then lscpu... I am worry about the first one can it be used somehow... He is a friend i have been talking from a while but don't know well so am just a little suspicious.

Was wondering if it takes math wizardry to get into this field?

I have a degree already (not in IT though) and took some IT classes in community college (just for fun when covid first hit cause they were offered online and I like school)

I think if I wanted to take the A+ cert I could pass it pretty easily but when it comes to programming and such, I get kind of lost.

I am working on getting better at algebra but idk what kind of math to study to get better at computer technology.
