Samsung probably didn't mean to leave this here right?

I was browsing the s22 Ultra product page and came across this. Someone didn't change their place holder text!

Exynos phones have worse performance, worse battery life, worse camera sensors and processing, and they cost just as much or more than the Snapdragon models. This is not right. Terrible Customer Service

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 09:25 AM PDT

Talking to Samsung they are refusing to fix my phone because of scratches on the screen. I sent it in with a screen protector so someone took it off and scratched it up. Now they are sending it back to me more broken than when it started.

Trying to get someone in customer service to do anything is impossible because they just keep repeating the same lines. When I was supposed to be called by a supervisor they didn't call three times making me call them then wait again.

Anyone reading this, don't buy Samsung and don't expect any of your complaints to be fixed. They are two-faced thieves.

My phone feels snappier with the three button nav bar?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 05:26 AM PDT

Ok im kinda shookt. My phone actually feels snappier and smoother without the gestures. Or maybe its because of the convenience of the three button navbar. Anyone else use it here too? It's not the most modern thing but its actually pretty nice?

I was team Note, now I'm team fold

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 12:02 PM PDT

So I've had my Fold 3 for approx 3 months now, and I got it after a lot of reading, watching and asking about. And I am positively surprised!

I had some fear about the battery, since that was what people most often talked about as a problem and I thought I used my phones a lot. But when the day is done and I go to bed I have about 35% left most days! True, I haven't checked my screen-on-time most days, but they involved research, social media and some easy games.

But the big thing for me is the screen and how it makes multitasking easier, and I use double apps quite a lot. Now it's really easy!

Other things that I found better than I feared:

    1. The protection of the inner screen. The small lip around the screen is awesome and I still have 0 wear on the screen.
    2. The underscreen camera. I mean, it isn't great now matter how you measure and it is visible when looking, but for video-calls to the family when I'm away and quick calls with work-mates it's more than good enough!

The crease really don't bother me, and overall the device feels really solid.

It's not for everyone, but as a user who loved the note I really feel like this is a natural successor and I'm glad I went for this and not the high end S22 with everything about that device!

I'm sure I'll find something I hate, but atm I'm really looking forward to the next gen!

    A53 MicroSD question

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 12:17 PM PDT

I just got an A53 last week (couldn't justify the price of the S22) and I'm having trouble with the MicroSD. I bought a 1024GB card, put it in, clicked format, then tried to drag and drop files from my PC. When I opened the phone folder on my PC, only 4 of the default folders showed up.

No problem, took it out and put it in my card reader. They all showed up so I got all my files on the card (mostly music) but when I put it in the phone, only about half of them show up. Basically every artist starting with M-V isn't showing up.

I tried the process again starting with reformatting the card but I'm still having the same issue. I wanted to be able to have all of my music (about 90G) from my PC but I'm guessing that's maybe just too much and I shouldn't put it all on there? Does anyone know of a way to get the phone to recognize all of my files?

    Samsung :-(

    An open letter to Sammy:

Please make the plus series have premium specs like they used to. The Ultra is too big and heavy.

Please bring back 1440p and big batteries. Please compete with OnePlus and bring us a 65w charger. I don't want to buy a Chinese phone, but you're downgrading every new generation of phone.

    Thank you

    the S22U battery is horrid.

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 09:11 AM PDT

This is my first Android phone coming from iPhone and in all other ways except battery I've been enjoying it. But goddamn dude I find myself having to charge it midway through the day EVERY DAY if I want it to last me until bed. I've done every optimization possible with Bixby. I have dark mode on when I can. Its like as soon as I unplug it and mess around with it for 15 minutes I lose 10% of battery. Sure super charging is nice but I have to take advantage of it only because my phone dies so quick lol. It really stinks because as I mentioned this is my first android and it leaves a really bad taste in my mouth that my old iPhone lasted what feels like double the time my new flagship android does..

    45W or 25W charging for S22U

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 09:08 AM PDT

Have had the phone for more than a month now, and have noticed battery life extend longer when charging using a generic 45W charger instead of 25W charger. As in, I get 1+ day using 45W, vs. 18h+ using 25W.

I had read comments on reddit on other threads, and saw various YT tutorials that indicated that it doesn't really matter which wattage I use to charge the phone. However, is anyone seeing the same battery life as me when performing this test?

    S22+ vs S22 ultra

    Posted: 26 Apr 2022 01:24 PM PDT

Currently holding the beast Galaxy Note 10+, went to official service 2 times(battery replacement, and button replacement, cause of glue-ultraviolet based screen protector), long story, but anyway, phone is perfect

Thinking about getting S22+ or Ultra. The size of the phone doesn't consider me, Note10+ is the same size as S22 ultra
In my country, Ultra costs about 1450 $, and Plus costs about 1265$
The questions is, does Ultra worth extra 200$?

    1. What is important for me:
      Screen size(Not a big difference)
    2. Battery life(500 mah is a kinda good difference, but if S22 ultra refresh rate is as same as S22 plus(considering they both drop to 24/48 hz all the time), which would be better?
    3. Gaming performance(Saw some tests, s22+ seems more stable, but ultra got more power) + Ram. My Note10+ has 12gb, getting s22 plus will seem as downgrade. Do you guys feel some real usage of more RAM storage? Everytime I join to the settings on my note10+ it seems like 6 gigs is used

Camera is not important for me, but 200$ difference, especially when u anyway overpay seems not so huge. Flat screen would be better, but curved display doesn't bother me, if the screen protector doesn't have black frames around it

I know I kinda answered some questions by myself, but what do u guys think about gaming, extra ram, some camera bonuses, screen size and battery for extra 200$?
Youtube videos seems kinda empty, sadly for samsung

Tab S8 Ultra: battery, display, app issues

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 05:40 AM PDT

    Hi,

I have the above device for about 3 weeks. My issues:

    1. Battery life is awful! Charged to 100% overnight, then used YouTube, watched a 90 minute Netflix documentary, checked email and did a few Google searches. Within that time, battery down to 77%. It went from 100% to 98% within the first 10 minutes of use.
    2. Display is not as sharp as I had hoped. For example, if I watch a YT video either in the app or a browser, if I maximize the video, it does not retain the sharpness as I see when its default window.
    3. Pictures and videos taken with my S22+ and uploaded to Dropbox do not look sharp as they do on my phone.
    4. Some apps, like Amazon Shopping, are quite fuzzy. I think it's the new screen size that is causing this, but as this is one of the most frequently used apps that I use, it's annoying.
    5. Some photos and videos, when I initially open them, are blurry but if I wait 3-5 seconds they automatically sharpen, whereas why wouldn't they be sharp immediately?

I am still within my return period and although I love the tablet for everything else (sound is great, generally the display is amazing and I love the keyboard case), for €1300 (I got the 5G model) it seems like it should be perfect.

Anyone else experiencing the above issues? I don't want to go the iPad route if possible.

    Thank you.

Remember galaxies don't store your biometric data just like apple and just abstracts it into a hash. That means you can use each finger print for 2 fingers. Leave one for secure folder.

    Posted: 26 Apr 2022 08:19 AM PDT

Just like how face ID doesn't allow access to developers except in low res mode enough only enough to recognize a generic face your iris scan, finger prints etc aren't actually stored but are instead go through a conversion into a hash which is checked versus the same hash used to generate the one(s) stored in knox which is hardware based and completely inaccessible by software. It'll work to allow you through but there's no way apps can actually snipe your finger print or even access the iris scanner at all. That's why a screen shot of the iris scanner yields a black bar.

When scanning your finger most people use 4 and really only 2, the index only in case you have a band aid on or something...

When training the finger print scanner it doesn't matter if you scan 50 percent index and 50 percent middle on each then use only one for one finger which can be assigned to gain instant access to your secure folder.

On secure folder tap go into settings, and turn on dedicated finger print. I have mine set to a secret finger. That's how I got arrested at the restaurant...

    Upgrader's remorse

    Posted: 26 Apr 2022 09:06 PM PDT

I used my Snapdragon S10+ since 2019. I had a serious desire to upgrade knowing that I'll never get high trade in value again. Last year I held off on the S21 because of the reviews it had initially.

The S10+ was light, capable, thin and easy to hold. The S22 Ultra is bulky and noticeably heavier, and feels harder to use. I think the thickness is main drawback. It's like one and a half S10 Pluses.

I'm realizing that maybe I could've gotten the S21 Ultra. The S21 Ultra has almost exactly the same curvature and similar thickness to the S10+. I only went with the S22U because it's the newest, better cameras and will keep trade in value longer.

At this point I'm looking forward to the S23 series so I can trade this and get the S23+. I don't understand the appeal of the Note with the 90 degree angles. How do I get past this upgrade remorse? I loved my S10+

Ohh.... I hope so! Bad practices should perish along with the company which is responsible for that.

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 09:32 AM PDT

Survey says 40% of current Samsung owners won't buy Samsung again. Bad practices like this from a major company should not be tolerated. Samsung has no leg to stand on when it says it is a competitor to Apple. It isn't.

Samsung music not playing albums in track order (2017 J7)

    Posted: 26 Apr 2022 01:25 PM PDT

    Hallo.

I have a 2017 J7, bought second hand because it was cheap and the apps on my Microsoft 950 were increasingly not working/supported.

It's a neat little phone so far, but the Samsung Music Player is really annoying me. I open an album to play, start the first track, and then it plays through the songs in alphabetical order, rather than track order. I've poked around with the controls and settings, but it seems to be that or random. I try putting the album I want to listen to on a playlist - same issue. It irks me. Is there a setting or easy workaround, or do I need to shell out for an app that can actually do this most basic of things?

    Thanks!

Recently bought myself a S20 FE- is the speaker supposed to sound like this?

    Posted: 26 Apr 2022 04:39 PM PDT

Hey, not sure if anyone else has this issue, but my S20 speaker sounds a bit like its further back than the grill itsef, almost like it echoes(not sure if that makes sense) the sound is also, not sure how to say it, mechanical? It sounds like im listening to a band perfom in a bathroom, especially in games(noticed this instantly on wild rift)

How does the Flip 3 hold up this much after release?

    Posted: 26 Apr 2022 02:20 PM PDT

I am way overdue for an upgrade and getting a Flip 3 is very tempting, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea. Wanted to hear from folks who had/have it - how does it hold up after this time? Does it break easily? Is it easy to get it returned if it does?

For all of you who think the Flip 3 is not worth is - what different model would you recommend? I'm gonna be honest, the main appeal of the Flip 3 for me is the design and split screen options.

    Thanks!
