Is there a way to disable the "new file found" notifications from Downloads apps? Posted: 01 Jan 2020 04:50 AM PST Perhaps without disabling its notifications completely? [link] [comments]

Instagram using camera in the background Posted: 01 Jan 2020 07:21 PM PST Recently, after a new update i suppose, whenever i switch apps from Instagram i get a notification from the security app saying instagram using camera in the background. Same goes for whatsapp and snapchat according to ny friend who got the same device as i have (RN7pro). And after I disabled the camera permission for Instagram in the app settings, i still got the same notification. I know they probably use ny microphone to give out personalised ads and stuff but why do they need the camera if this is related to the same issue? Anyone know what this is about? Recommendations for a $200 Xiaomi Posted: 01 Jan 2020 05:50 PM PST Seen many raving reviews on the brand but I'm not sure if I should jump in, especially with what phone I should get. Currently, my budget is $200. I just want a quality phone that'll last, so it'll be nice if you guys can speak from your experiences on the recommendation. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Jan 2020 05:38 PM PST I've been noticing that the image stabilization in my Redmi Note 7 is quite bad, and more often than not my photos end up blurry and my videos are super shaky. Do you guys know anything I could do about that? [link] [comments]
How to Disable Pop Up Notifications from Apps Posted: 01 Jan 2020 07:24 PM PST Hi, this is the first time I have posted here in a while. I wanted to find out if it is possible to do this. I have a Redmi K20 Pro with MIUI 11.0.5. Whenever I play a game, I keep receiving notifications from my other apps which partially blocks my view. I tried using a workaround by turning off notifications from those apps, but it makes things bad in a sense that I will never know if an important message has come through. This is an issue I never experienced in Samsung phones (partly because there's a way to turn off notifications while in games) With that said, is there a way to keep notifications from apps on, but prevent them from popping up on the screen? It is fine if they appear in the drop down menu (the panel where you can open by sliding down from the top of the screen), I just don't want them blocking my screen. [link] [comments]
Gray scale mode does not work on Xiaomi redmi note 8 with MIUI 11, why? Posted: 01 Jan 2020 06:43 PM PST
Always On Display "not working" in Redmi K20 Posted: 01 Jan 2020 09:52 PM PST i had a Samsung phone before changing to this one, and i used to have the AOD on all the time, so i could see basic information without having to touch my phone (specially on bed). I was happy that this feature was also present in my new phone, but it seems this one only works at night if i lift my phone or touch it, is there a way to change this? (i'm using MIUI 11 rn) [link] [comments]
Is there a screen overclock mod for redmi k20 beta on Android 10? Posted: 01 Jan 2020 09:34 PM PST I really liked the display overclock mod, but after upgrading to the beta on Android 10, I realised it doesn't work. Does anyone know if someone has created one, or how to configure the overclock mod to make it work. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Jan 2020 09:28 PM PST I know Samung and what happens with the battery after Android updates. I went through an S1, S4 and currently, an S7 (2/3hs of SOT). All decreased screen time after updating. The S4 was disgusting, they released version 5.0.1 that had a thousand problems with battery drain: hour and a half of SOT. The question is for old xiaomi users, who have already been with this brand for 2 year or more: did you notice that the battery life decreased after the OS was updated? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Jan 2020 12:32 PM PST Should I wait for the Redmi K30 Pro and the MI 10, or just buy the MI 9T Pro? This is a big jump for me from my Redmi Note 4X. [link] [comments]
Can not boot into TWRP after flashing image file Posted: 01 Jan 2020 05:23 PM PST I have a Xiaomi Mi Play with MIUI 11.0.3 China Stable, Bootloader Unlocked, USB Debugging On. I almost clicked every links I can find from google search. Here's what I did to flash TWRP:
Now the problem starts here. I can't reboot into TWRP. Tried every methods I can find on internet. I'll list some of them (All of below done right after flashing recovery.img again):
Conclusion of the Results: - For reboot methods that involves holding volume up key, My device will reboot again and again(reboot right after the Xiao Mi logo) until I let go the button. It looks like something is blocking it from entering the TWRP Recovery. - For other methods that just let the device reboot will end up reboot to the system normally. - Methods that holds volume up + power to enter Recovery mode will always boot into MI Recovery 3.0 instead of TWRP. My question is simple: How can I boot into TWRP? [link] [comments]
Setting defaults for notification/autostart policies in MIUI Posted: 01 Jan 2020 08:56 PM PST When I first installed the xiaomi.eu version on my 9T in October-ish, newly installed apps were being allowed to autostart and such as in stock Android (and not typical for MIUI). The update to Android 10 in December reverted this and, aside from my currently installed apps having their permissions reset, also reenabled the deny-autostart policy of MIUI for new apps. Is there any way to achieve the same default I had, or do I basically need to hope xiaomi.eu do it again (e.g., only settable at build time for the ROM)? [link] [comments]

Redmi Note 5 Pro (Whyred) Constantly Rebooting into Mi-Recovery Posted: 01 Jan 2020 04:37 PM PST Following the instruction on xda to debloat redmi note 5 whyred. I removed about 20 apps from the phone using adb commands. After rebooting, the phone took a really long time to reboot and rebooted directly to the mi-recovery and would reboot itself after a few minutes without any input and then reboot back into mi-recovery again. I tried to use fastboot commands to flash the original firmware but the bootloader is locked. I tried to use qualcomm usb driver 9008, test point method, and miflash2018.11.05 to flash the firmware. Miflash asked to login to mi account. After successful login, still failed to flash firmware because of authentication failure. So now my phone is not working and can not be restored. Keep in mind - I was not able to backup any of my data because I did not know that the XDA guide would cause this problem, so I am trying to fix my problem while keeping my data. Posted: 01 Jan 2020 02:07 PM PST Whenever I open the game turbo app to manage my game settings it shows the intro then the screen turns completely white and the app freezes (my phone still works fast without any issues, just the app) and even the game turbo overlay won't show in game, whenever I swipe on the bar the game stops registering touch controls for a few seconds then the bar disappears and the overlay doesn't show. I have a normal redmi note 8 (3/32) the app worked fine before I updated to MIUI 11 which updated it. [link] [comments]
Xiaomi mi 9T Pro Volume sidebar not showing up anymore Posted: 01 Jan 2020 01:31 PM PST When casting to Youtube the volume sidebar doesn't pop up anymore meaning I am unable to change the volume of what ever is on my phone. Does anyone know a fix to this? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Jan 2020 03:27 PM PST Thinking of getting a tablet but just for basic things like web browsing, reading books, youtube nothing that demanding. Thought of the Mi pad 4 as i think MIUI is has good tablet UI and xiaomi are pretty good with updates for MIUI at least. But i do realise that is a year old. Are there any other tablets worth considering? [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Dec 2019 11:09 PM PST I'm on MIUI 11 on Redmi K20 (11.0.3.0 PFJINXM) and I want to apply the Google Sans font. I go into Themes > Font > Search for Google Sans, then it says it can't connect to network. Any other way to apply that font without rooting? [link] [comments] |
