[DEV] After 2 Years, I'm finally working on Tap Healer again

    Posted: 01 Feb 2022 02:18 AM PST

Hello all! Millikan's Reach, my freelancer/galaxy on fire-like open-world space shooter has released into Early Access!

    Posted: 31 Jan 2022 04:37 PM PST

You may remember me from my last post here - the game is finally ready for Early Access and it's available for purchase right now! I've been working on it entirely in my own free time since mid-2017, so I hope you all enjoy it!

Set in a war-torn star system on the fringes of civilized space, Millikan's Reach is a single-player open-world space shooter with trading and mining elements - built in the image of classics like Freelancer or Elite. A clean art style, fluid dogfighting and an easy-to-learn economy ensure an experience you can quickly pick up and play, without compromising the freedom that the best in the genre has to offer.

Start with a small scout craft and claw your way up into grander and more powerful vessels through whatever means you choose. Become a bounty hunter, wiping out the system's criminal scum. Go mercenary and take a side in the war between the proud Terran Empire and the alien Millikan Hive-Mind. Mine ore or trade cargo, playing the market for the best deals in the system. You can even become a space pirate, and raid cargo ships for loot and profit.

I never include advertisements or in-app purchases in anything I make, so you can be assured this will be a premium experience! You can pick it up in either of the following places for $4.99 USD:

    Google Play

    Itch.io

Other than that, I do have a dedicated subreddit so I can limit the degree to which I spam this one in the future: over at /r/MillikansReach. Thank you for your time, and I hope you enjoy this thing I've made!

DC Legends - problems with colors (Pixel 3a vs Pixel 6 Pro)

    Hey,

I had a Pixel 3a and have recently bought a Pixel 6 Pro. At least, for DC Legends, I noticed that it looks like the game is lacking colors.

I've trying playing around with Display options but nothing seemed to fix that. Both are running latest Android 12.

Has anyone seen this/have the same problem? Any suggestions to fix it?

    Cheers!

[REQUEST] Is there any good management simulation games?

    Posted: 01 Feb 2022 06:50 AM PST

Hey everyone. I'm looking for a management game with some depth in it and no timers at all, so no idle at all. I want a sense of progression (capturing new regions, moving to bigger office, unlocking new tech) and a sense of customization (you can "design" or create your own games/products/offices)

It can be on any topic except sports team management and has to be offline and solo game as i mostly play during my commute. So it cqn be a bout managing a company, a country, a galaxy, a boat whatever,... Ideally it would have good controls optimized for mobile. I've played Theotown and didn't really enjoyed it because of the camera/controls. I would also like to avoid pixel style.

I played and enjoyed Stardew Valley, Star Traders, Mindustry, mini metro. I've also enjoyed Fly Corp but it's not very deep with a repetitive gameplay.

    Games like TripleTown?

    Posted: 01 Feb 2022 05:05 AM PST

I enjoy this game because I like the kind of progression you get and the feeling of discovering new things after you merge them.

The issue is that I feel the games are too short and feel repetitive, but other "merging games" just feel like idle games with extra steps most times.

Is there any other games in the same genre you could recommend?

Looking for a multiplayer offline android game that can be played on two phones or more.

    Posted: 01 Feb 2022 03:07 AM PST

I would like something that's not splitscreen. Recently I'm having a lot of free time and I would like to play some mobile games with my roommates. I'm sure there are many multiplayer games that connect people with bluetooth or same wi-fi, but I don't know how I could find them.

Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro won't connect with Dualshock 4 controller

    Posted: 01 Feb 2022 02:43 AM PST

Hi, do you know how to get the Mi 9T Pro (MIUI 12.0.6, Android 10) to work with the Dualshock 4 controller via Bluetooth? Unfortunately, after I try to pair the controller, it is only added to the list of paired devices, but does not connect to the phone. I have already tried resetting the controller and network settings in Android, but it didn't help. With OnePlus 8 Pro this controller works without any problem, so it must be MIUI problem, as usual...

    Genre suggestions?

    Posted: 31 Jan 2022 05:35 PM PST

I tap this well a lot but I am not sure who else to ask. I have played as many of the Card Battler (Slay the Spire) games I can find. One of the guru's on here suggested Slice and Dice, I liked it. Now I am trying to find a way to see other games I might like. Is there a term for games roguelikes which can be played and put down at a seconds notice? Turn based. Single player. Anyone have any game suggestions or genre suggestions so I can search for things myself?

[REQUEST] Recommendations for low effort asynchronous multiplayer games

    Posted: 31 Jan 2022 07:51 AM PST

Me and some friends of mine enjoy a good game but we all run on different schedules, so what with work and one of us having kids etc, we are rarely all free at the same time.

I had a serious accident last year and although 7 months have past, am still not at the point I can just go out for a walk or take on work so my days are fairly empty.

As a result of my free time and with our busy lives not getting to see each other that much anymore, I was after recommendations for some games which can be played with a small group of friends asynchronously.

Ideally the gameplay itself wouldn't be too taxing when you are actively playing so if someone does just have the odd minute here and couple of minutes there, they can play and contribute but it doesn't require 10+ minutes of dedicated concentration etc.

Previously one of the others and I had enjoyed SimpleMMO but it wasn't something that appealed to everyone and although it doesn't need a lot of time per go put into it, you can only get something out of it if you do put a fair amount of time into it in total. But yeah, something relatively simple and easy that's enjoyable and allows either PVP or cooperative interaction between 3 players or more (2 player is an option but 3 player would be better where possible).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    [DEV] Quicktiles boardgame, with bots!

Casual games for couples beyond the classic boardgame.

    Posted: 31 Jan 2022 04:14 AM PST

We play scrabble and other board games that have multiplayer. It's nice to just take your turn when you are free or if one of us is at work. Any recommendations for a good one? Something with armies and base building would be neat, but I'm not picky.
