What's the best - preferably foss - pdf app for Android? Ideally it would be fully featured with the ability to view, edit, redact, and sign while on the go. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 02 Jan 2022 07:32 PM PST In settings my mom's car isn't listed as paired On the smart things app my mom's car isn't listed as a paired device Yet when I pull down the notification bar and click on devices it has my mom's car as a paired device and automatically connects to it. It's incredibly annoying having my audio disconnected so suddenly and obvious stuff no one wants their parents listening to. How do I get rid of my mom's car as a paired device? | Google Find My Device - not updating location Posted: 03 Jan 2022 02:11 AM PST I've set up Google Find My Device on phones before without a problem but have just set it up on a Motorola phone and it won't update the location when the phone is on the move, even though it can see the phone in the 'home' location. (I've also set it up on Motorola phones before) I can see the battery percentage and even initiate the Play Sound on Google (on my PC browser) but, as mentioned, the location of the phone never changes. Signal quality is fine, I've hunted online for ideas and tried various suggestions. I've also downloaded some GPS test software and that's working okay so the phone hardware isn't the problem, it's a config issue somewhere but I can't figure it out. Any ideas please? | Posted: 02 Jan 2022 09:35 PM PST My wife's phone had an update and since the update, when scanning QR codes (with built-in camera app), it now has "show options" instead of "tap here to go to "insert URL" in your browser". My S20 Ultra still has one tap to load the url in browser. How can I fix this? We live in an area that requires QR code check-in for everywhere you go, so we scan A LOT of QR codes. | Most notifications not working on Doogee x95 pro Posted: 03 Jan 2022 01:01 AM PST As the title says, most apps won't send notifications. The only exceptions are Whatsapp, line and clash royale. It's not about messages, since I don't receive notifications from Instagram dms. Some old forums said the problem could be solved by making apps system apps, but that didn't do it. They're always for local restaurants in the city I live in, but they're never places I eat at. I don't google them or look them up ever, although I know of them. A while back there was a scam/virus thing going on where people could put random reservations/items on your Google Calendar and the body text was full of virus links. | Not receiving all texts on my Pixel 6 Pro from my friend with an iPhone Posted: 02 Jan 2022 06:10 PM PST I have a Pixel 6 Pro. My friend with an iPhone (not sure which one, but it's older), and I noticed that I wasn't receiving all of their texts. It happens occasionally, but it's still annoying not knowing whether or not they replied yet. I use Google Messages. This also happened to me before when I had a Pixel 3XL when I texted other people. I have never owned an iPhone, so it can't be an issue of not disabling iMessage on my end. I have T-Mobile, and I'm not sure what carrier they have. I cannot find a way to do this, so when the phone is in my pocket it's constantly changing the ringer volume or turning off the ringer altogether, as well as engaging or turning off features via the quick settings panel. | Recover data / start up old phone Posted: 02 Jan 2022 02:22 PM PST Hey there, I have the following issue: Today while rummaging through boxes I hadn't unpacked since moving the last time, I found my old phone (Samsung Galaxy S+). I wanted to check if it still worked and, sure enough, after quite some time on the charger, it turned on. I was greeted by my lockscreen and can not, for the life of me, remember the code. I thought "whatever, just unlock it through my google account." Problem is, I do not have any internet connection on the thing. Can't turn on Wifi either, because the pull-down menu doesn't work. IDK if that's due to the lock or if it's just an old and broken phone. Is there any way that I can get the old thing to work without erasing everything, oder at least access old pictures via Windows or whatever? [link] [comments] |

| Cameras acting up on LG G8, not sure if it's hardware or software Posted: 02 Jan 2022 02:02 PM PST What can be causing phone cameras to malfunction? It affects all 3 cameras on the phone including selfie cam so it's unlikely to be a hardware issue. At start up, it's black for a while and once the image view appears, it's choppy and keeps freezing. It's also blurry and won't focus. Sometimes there's a message saying to clean the lens. Things I tried: Rebooting (didn't work) Downloading another camera app (works better than stock app but still not reliably) and using apps like messenger/Instagram to take photos through them (didn't work). Checking for system updates (all up to date). Clearing camera app data and cache. (Still takes long for black screen to disappear and still choppy, but can focus now). Only thing I haven't done is factory reset and it's a very annoying step to take especially since it doesn't guarantee a fix. I'd rather try something else first. [link] [comments] |

I'm believing it is called some type of dock or something? The reason I'm asking such a question like this, is I'm wanting to get better knowledge of Android and how to use my smartphone and tablet better and more efficient and understand more of it. As I'm used to working with Windows desktop computers and laptops, smartphones and tablets are still relatively new to me. And I'm not really understanding these devices fully either. I'm looking to get the google pixel 6 pro - this isn't available for another 3 weeks though. My question - is there a way to back up my phone on the computer (or even transfer to the new phone) without accepting any prompts on the ASUS phone? Also McAffe (which I didn't even know my phone had) is freaking out about viruses. Does anyone know how to fix my calendar? I already uninstalled the N64 emulator and the game I tried to download. Shazam can't seem to pick up sound and recognize no title this way. I had no problem with my Galaxy S7 running Android 8.
