| Posted: 03 Dec 2021 12:28 PM PST Hi helpful redditors. Long story short, a family friend is bed ridden in a medicaid facility with basically nothing to do all day. I purchased an old tablet off of facebook marketplace with the intention of downloading all of the streaming apps and logging in to my accounts on there so she'd have something to do. (I confirmed with the facility that there is wifi). The device is a Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 SM-T230NU. Android Version 4.4.2 After doing a factory reset, the device literally won't let me enable wifi. I click the icon and it immediately turns itself back off. I found a couple of really old threads where people had the same issue, but no firm solution was ever posted. I believe it to be a software issue as the previous owner stated that wifi worked for them (grain of salt). I was thinking I could update it to Android 5.0 and that might help me get around it? Clearly I'm a total novice and accidentally signed up for too much work. I'm hoping some of you may advice. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |

All reviews mentioning potential upcoming features and most of them say it's the best Android TV experience you can get for the price. I was wanting to know if that is still the case? Has software updates improved anything? Are more game streaming apps like Xcloud available on it now? Has the performance degraded or improved with software updates? A lot of what ifs. They'd like to be able to access his phone without data loss to preserve things on there, and they've turned to me for help, as I'm one of the more tech-savvy people they know. The model is an LG K500MM. The screen is locked with a finger swipe code, and I currently have the device in my possession. I've looked into software to unlock it, but everything I've been able to find will erase the data on an LG phone. Is there any way to be able to get this unlocked, perhaps through the phone carrier upon submission of a death certificate, software, or any method that anyone is aware of, without causing data loss? Posted: 03 Dec 2021 10:49 AM PST So over the last few years, I had the Pixel 2, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus, and now the Galaxy S10+. My Pixel 2 ran it's life, and I traded my note for the Galaxy because I found the stylus useless and cheap feeling but found myself desperate for a headphone jack. It was a worthy trade for me. That said, I am really not a fan of Samsung phones and my device is paid off now. Checked my upgrade options from Rogers, their selection is kinda terrible and NONE of the phones on offer have a headphone jack so I noped out of that. It doesn't HAVE to be a brand new model or THE fastest or something, just a relative upgrade from the S10 Plus and with a headphone jack. I want to clarify a couple of things too:

| Phone doesn't ring, can't attach files. Posted: 03 Dec 2021 02:11 PM PST Facing these issues for several months on Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 Android 8.1. Phone doesn't ring in incoming calls. I cannot hear the voice of the caller in incoming and outgoing calls. Calls on WhatsApp, etc works fine. The ringtones setting show empty list. When I open it for sometime the list shows up and I can select a ringtone. Then calls ring and voice comes for a few minutes or hours and then again this issue arises. Also I cannot attach files anywhere, Gmail, WhatsApp, Google, nowhere. When I select the files option it opens files for a second and then exits. Also Camera crashes while taking pictures and screen shot doesn't save except when I clear gallery data and open the app. After a few minutes again same problem starts. Please suggest solutions. These all issues seem interconnected. PS: Phone rings and camera works in safe mode. Not aware of file attachment problem since Gmail and WhatsApp doesn't work in safe mode. [link] [comments] |

I don't remember for sure, but I think my phone came preinstalled with Facebook. I have uninstalled it many times, but it always comes back within days. And by uninstall, I mean it actually uninstalls; I click the "Uninstall" option in settings, and the app disappears completely. It no longer shows up in any files or any places in my phone. I also have Facebook App Installer disabled. How does it keep coming back? I really dont like having Facebook on my phone for various reasons, and it's frustrating me a bit. Ok so my dad sent me a 18 second recording of dash cam footage via his iphone but it just sent me 2 blurry frames of it as well as 18 sec long audio file separate. I saw the message he sent me on his phone and it looks normal and he also texted it to someone else with an Android don't know their specs though. | Upgraded my phone. Now BT is disconnecting; Posted: 03 Dec 2021 01:42 PM PST I upgraded from a Pixel 2 XL to a 4a 5G. My Spigen Legato earbuds are instantly dropping the connection. It will drop the connection and then immediately reconnect. This started happening immediately after pairing to the new phone. I changed the battery optimization for BT services so that it is not battery ⠀optimized just in case this was the issue, but it is still happening. Any ideas? Thank you. [link] [comments] |

I need a way to track an Android phone's GPS location at all times, preferably continuously updating me. Most importantly, it shouldn't require any physical access to the phone. I have a teenage son going through a really strange phase. I already talked to him and we agreed on therapy, but even his doctor recommended following him remotely to make sure he's out of harm's way. When I select all on the pixel the pop up never appears I noticed that the OnePlus while the pop up shows up it lags indicating it struggles to cache the selection but completes but the Pixel just can't complete the task. I use a spritz reader readsy to consume these 4000 word docs on the go and select all is best way to transport into reader.
