| I need help with the music progress bar on MIUI 12 for the Android 11 on Redmi Note 8 Posted: 10 Nov 2021 02:02 PM PST I have a Redmi Note 8 and it was loaded with MIUI 11 for Android 9, updated to 12 for 10 in January and then I updated to 12 for 11(more specifically the MIUI 12.0.2 Global). It was all well and good until I tried to use it. I hate it. Some of the stuff didn't work, some stuff look ugly but the thing that annoy me the most is the music progress bar on any music streaming platform. It went from Fig. 2 to Fig. 1 and I don't like it. When I close the app without closing the bar first it just stays there until I turn Spotify again and turn it off. Please help me get it from Fig. 1 back to Fig. 2. If there's no hope, how long do I have to wait for the 12.5 global update for Redmi Note 8 because I hate this so much. [link] [comments] | ||

| Planned Obsolescence (Black Friday) Posted: 10 Nov 2021 01:47 AM PST My Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite that I barely use, that hit its full hard drive capacity only once when I deleted files right after, that I always charge when it's below 10% (usually 5%) battery levels in order to keep the battery healthy and to not charge it too frequently, has started to give me a message saying "charging is slow" every time I charge it now. More importantly, over the past 3 days the battery didn't last for a day anymore and like I said, I barely use my phone. (I 100% work from home) This is fairly suspicious because of all things, Black Friday's coming up, Xiaomi knows my Google Searches (as in, my intention to buy new things on Black Friday). Seriously I'm sick and tired of this throw-away society and nothing lasting anymore. Same story, different company with my LG TV that I purchased for $1000 and lasted for only 3 years, never moving it much, definitely using it way less than the average customer would. In case you never heard of this term: Planned obsolescence is a business strategy in which the obsolescence (the process of becoming obsolete, that is, unfashionable or no longer usable) of a product is planned and built into it from its conception, by the manufacturer. TL;DR I think my phone just died a few days before Black Friday and it's not a coincidence. Please share your thoughts [link] [comments] | ||

I had Poco M4 Pro 5G set in my mind because it was a rebrand of note 11 and as a a note 10 pro user, I think I am very happy with my current phone (I'm getting the M4 for a family member). I saw the X3 Pro promotion and decided to check it out. The X3 Pro seems superior in almost every way (RAM/storage for base variant, refresh rate, battery size, chip) outside of 5G (5G isn't a thing in my country yet). The prices between the two aren't that dissimilar even without promotions. I was wondering what's the big selling point of the Poco M4 Pro 5G and if I should just get the X3 Pro? For example taking a call in FB messenger, switching it to speaker, then turning back on YouTube the sound really quiet. Have to reboot the phone to get the sound level back correctly. Normally I cannot use it in any way, but I activated an option in developer mode to "force apps to go to external storage" and I wanted to try to use my SD card, but I cannot find any option to put apps on in Is this blocked by the phone itself or how can I do it?
