| Trying to recover old photos off of a Samsung Galaxy S7 Posted: 03 Nov 2021 09:07 PM PDT A few years ago I dropped my phone, and while the phone system is still working, the screen completely broke and is black. The photos and files on it are not backed up. I tried using Droidkit to recover the data, but you need to allow USB debugging for this to work, and I can click on anything since the screen is black. I have my eye on a Galaxy Book Pro 360 laptop but I'm thinking it would be pretty stupid of me to run that transaction today if there are any promotions coming. I've gone full fanboi. I traded in my Galaxy Watch 3 ($135) toward a new Watch 4, and took the promotion to add Galaxy Buds Pro for $50 bucks when I did that. Posted: 04 Nov 2021 06:09 AM PDT Samsung Sweden is currently offering a deal for any S21 phone being bought with a specific set of carriers. It boils down to a 1000SEK ($120) rebate on the phone and including a pair of Galaxy buds Pro worth approx. 2500SEK (close to $300) in Sweden upon purchase. Currently I am using a S9+ and I originally intended to wait for the S22 to arrive but with this deal I am inclined to go for a S21 instead. I haven't been in the loop around release offers for a long time so I am asking you guys for recommendations.. Should I jump on the deal knowing S22 arrives soon or play it cool and hope for a similar deal for S22? What's the most sane thing to do? Posted: 03 Nov 2021 08:26 AM PDT I am currently still trying to figure out if I want to return my 13 promax because of UI annoyances and did some digging into S22 and the specs seems to be interesting. I did read how the sales for S21 wasn't that spectacular - maybe due to features taken out or the specs or something else. I am curious how much excitement the S22 is causing existing users, especially 21 users? I am coming from S9+ and did enjoy it (the internal storage is whats making me upgrade). Thanks! | i need some explanation on battery of base s21… Posted: 03 Nov 2021 12:46 PM PDT i ordered an s21 and it's coming next week. i've been hearing people saying battery is terrible and i'm not sure how it can be that bad. s21 has 4000mah battery, same as my dads A10s. my dads phone lasts at least 2 days and can get 7-8 hours of screen on time in one charge (mostly used on facebook, messenger, phone calls, email, whatsapp and a bit of web browsing). i'm hearing people say s21 is getting 4-5 hrs of screen on time and i don't understand how. surely the s21 is way better than a10s in pretty much everything because we are comparing a flagship to a budget phone, yet people are saying it has bad battery. i'm coming from iphone 7 so i'm not sure how this all works in samsung. thanks! I do no gaming, photo editing, etc. I've read these monitors don't display text well. Is that true? Do I need a specific resolution if I'm going to display lots of text (stock prices, excel, etc.)? | Tab S7+ Random Bluetooth Pausing Posted: 03 Nov 2021 09:56 AM PDT Hey everyone, I'm having a serious issue regarding video playback when bluetooth headsets are connected to the device. This has spanned two different tablets, over the course of my 1 month of ownership. I received my second tablet in the mail yesterday, and after testing this one, I'm running into the exact same issue as I had on the first.Videos on YouTube and Twitch play just fine through the tablet speakers, and as soon as I connect wireless bluetooth earbuds or headphones, the video will play perfectly normally for 10-20 minutes, and randomly pause with no input on my end. I'm interested in knowing if anyone else owns an S7 or S7+, and uses bluetooth headsets to watch videos, and whether or not you run into this issue. I've never had such a strange problem with a device before. The headsets I'm using are Sony WH and WF1000XM4's, and my Galaxy Buds Pros. Important to note that this problem is identical on the Sony and Samsung headsets. The first device had a Spiegen hard case, and tempered glass screen protector on it, the second device I just received, has no case and no screen protector. The problem is identical on both Tablets. This problem did not occur on my old IPad Air 2, with the same variables including my Wifi setup, plus videos play normally without bluetooth headsets, so that rules out my Network hardware being a problem. I'm at a loss. At this point all I can do is hope Samsung will take back the second unit, and go buy an IPad. Never in a million years did I think I'd have to go back to Apple, but Samsung's literally forced my hand. Bluetooth playback should be among the simplest features on an $800 tablet, and it doesn't work. If anyone has faced the same issue, please let me know, and if you found a solution.
