I'm not looking for an all-time-reversed-color option. Just a dark background for the launching moment.

Relay for Reddit vs Infinity for Reddit

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 10:11 AM PST

I recently switched to Android and the Reddit client I hear the most about is Relay. So I downloaded it and it seems good but there are some small issues like not getting subreddit icons on posts in the feed and gifs/videos sometimes not playing.

A friend recommended Infinity for Reddit and it seems fantastic. I haven't found any issues with it like Relay. In fact, its media playback capabilities seem better than Relay.

My question is, what makes Relay better than Infinity? Why is it so popular and recommended so often when Infinity seems to do all the same stuff but better in certain situations? Is it just the look of the app or are there things I've missed?

Google Photos Not Sorting In Correct Chronological Order

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 10:26 AM PST

I noticed today that some of my photos are slightly out of order for most dates, dating back years.

For example the photos from a Thursday night will be interspersed within the following Friday's photos.

Wondering if anyone is experiencing this and if it may be a temporary glitch. I frequently view old photos from previous months and years and haven't noticed the issue before.

Thanks in advance for any help or input.

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 02:41 PM PST

I've checked many browsers but none have stayed with me for long. I'd like dark theme, adblock (or something simillar), bottom search bar, native android autofill passwords and the last but not least fast, smooth browsing

    Any recommendation?

How to use Focused Inbox on the Nine Outlook app?

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 01:38 PM PST

Microsoft's Outlook app supports Focused Inbox, but I hate that it hijacks the global context menu and inserts "Bing Search" everywhere.

So I tried installing Nine instead, but it shows me all of the emails in my Inbox.

Is there a way to get it to show only the ones from the Focused Inbox?

    Thanks

Some websites doesn't load on certain browsers

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 10:07 AM PST

So I basically wanna surf Imgur website on MS edge but then there's an error that keeps poppin up, the same thing happens when I use Chrome & Samsung Internet. Even with/without VPN it doesn't work. The only thing that worked is by using UC browser (I know it's sketchy) but I've no any other choices. Any workaround? I assume it's related to certificate but I'm not sure. Thanks.

    Here's what these browsers said:

    • The identity of this website has not been verified.
    • Your connection to imgur.com is not encrypted.
    • Your connection to this site isn't private.
    • NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID Subject: www.globe.com.ph (My ISP's website) Issuer: Entrust Certification Authority - L1K

I'm running Android 9 on my Galaxy Note 8 btw.

    White screen

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 05:42 AM PST

Hi all, my phone just updated to android 12 and was wondering, if anyone who has also updated is experiencing the following issue.

When you press the navigation button the preview for some of the current running app appears white. Whereas before it would show a preview.

It's only happens with a few apps and was wondering if there was a way to bring back the preview. Thanks very much

Looking for a reddit app that's similar to the original app

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 06:51 AM PST

I have actually already browsed this subreddit looking for answers but cannot get myself to try reach and every one.

I'm looking for an alternative where I CAN SWIPE LEFT AND RIGHT for part feed as opposed to scrolling. I tried Sync but it's click, see comments, go back, repeat and feels time consuming.

The left right thing helps me to see the post and the comments without worrying about anything else. The current app is really bugging out after a recent software update (MIUI). Please help!

    Touch Calendar replacement?

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 04:56 AM PST

    Always loved Touch Calendar. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.olilan.touchcalendar&hl=en_US

In particular, I like the transparent dark theme calendar widget showing all events, and zooming in to the date touched. However, this app is no longer being developed and doesn't sync properly in newer versions of Android. Is there a very similar alternative?
