    When Windows 11 was released, I wasn't a huge fan of the design, and especially wasn't happy to see the number of small features taken away. So I built this program which I call the "Windows 11 Fixer", which contains all sorts of options to fix your Windows 11 experience.

    What does MacOS have that you wish Windows had?

    I recently switched from intel to amd and did a windows reinstall. Upon finishing, it says my version isn't valid. What should I do?

    For a few days when i try and do windows-shift-s, and try to snip something, it doesn't pop up or anything , so my snips just don't pop up

    It's been a major inconvenience, does anyone know why

    Would it be a better or easier idea to buy a Windows license on the cheap this Black Friday/Cyber Monday, or transfer a license from an older PC?

    I was watching a few deals videos and they said you could get a Windows license for around $15 this Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

    I've been running my PC without Windows 10 being activated for like 2 years now and it doesn't bother me too much to have the watermark on the screen (or the other limited functions), but for $15, I think it would be worth buying.

    However I do have 2 older PCs that I have (one is from work and the other is a laptop I don't really use too much).

    Can a license be transferred fairly easily from an old Windows copy and if so, how far back can the license be from? Would you spend $15 on a license instead?

    Quick question about pending downloads.

    I unenrolled and did a system recovery. I cannot get rid of insider preview 10.0.22504.1010 from pending downloads (the update that doesn't really work). I cleared the Software Distribution Download folder contents, as well as stopping Windows Update and BITS beforehand with no success. More confusing, I ran the compatibility check and I am eligible for Windows 11 standard release, but when I try to install it via my USB stick, I receive a message that the computer is not compatible. Does anyone know anything about either of these things?

    How to programmatically access to the clipboard history

    Hello,

    I'm looking for a way to get the windows's clipboard history content, (the one that you activate with win+v) Ideally it would be from lua (its for a neovim plugin) but anything could help me.

    I would like to create a fuzzy finder for my clipboard history in my code editor. So far i've found that a windows service called Clipboard User Service - cbdhsvc, which seems to keep the history, i still need to find what protocol this service is using so i can communicate with it.

    There is a lot of functions that allow you to get the last value but nothing gives you the full history...

    Any ideas ?

    I have an early 2000s Compaq Presario with Windows XP Home Edition on it.

    Started it up and it seems to work well. Issue is when I open up Internet Explorer. I can go to google and search for things like youtube and mozilla firefox but I can't actually click on any results, probably because those are modern sites.

    But how do I get a better browser? If I must upgrade the OS, what version do I upgrade to? Like I said, it's a 15-20-year-old laptop.

    Cannot access games/programs after windows 10 instalation.

    Recently I have upgraded my old windows 8.1 to windows 10. On my computer I got 2 HDD drives C and D. I have installed new windows on the C drive and when the computer launched I realized that I cannot play games which were previously installed (both on C and D Drive). After the upgrade to windows 10 I have installed battlefield 2042 and It worked just fine but I cannot lauch the games I had before the upgrade. The system seems not to ‚recognize' everything I have on the D drive that was installed previously as when I tried to remove a game it was not visible when in the ‚Remove program' section in the settings. When I enter the D drive programs/games are technically there but I cannot use them. Also sometimes when I turn the computer on I get a black screen with a BIinitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001 message on the screen. When I restart the computer it goes away each time tho. Is there any way to fix these issues and be able to use those games/programs again?

    Boot partition

    I wanted to separate my data and boot partition, so I wanted to ask which files in C drive should be kept in C drive.

    I also wanted to ask is program files and program files(x86) should be left in there.

    Can Windows 10 System Image Recovery use a system image on an encrypted drive?

    i would like to know if the windows 10 recovery tool can decrypt (by asking for a password) an external drive to access the backed-up system image to (re)install windows? Or would i have to transfer the system image onto a non-encrypted drive beforehand?

    I'm trying to install Windows 8.1 on my MacBook that already has macOS and Linux installed, but the installer won't let me continue until the partition is formatted to MBR. If I format it to that, will it wipe macOS and Linux off or will it just effect the partition I made for it?

    MacBook M1 Pro vs (Intel/AMD) Tower PCs?

    Hey everyone,

    I'm thinking about getting a new pc for music production because my current one's getting old.

    So far I was usually happy with my windows tower pc that a friend built for me. Now the question is do I get another windows tower pc or the macbook M1 Pro? The M1 Pro seems to outperform pretty much all intel / amd processors. I couldn't find one article online that shows a tower pc that can match the M1 Pro's performance.

    Gaming (or graphics) isn't important to me since that seems to be the only thing that intel / amd can compete with or outperform the M1 Pro.

    I'm posting this here because I wanna hear what some Windows enthusiasts have to say about this all.

    Will Win 10 run slow on older hardware compared to Win 7?

    These are the spec of the pc:

    i7-920 Processor

    Gigabyte ud3r x58

    12gb ram

    GTX 1050 (my dads)

    and Samsung 860 EVO SSD (also his).
