Consistent stuttering in games Posted: 11 Nov 2021 04:47 PM PST For the last month or two, I have been experiencing stuttering in all games; it is the worst in Rainbow Six Siege. whenever I kill an enemy it has a microstutter, which is enhanced when there are multiple enemies on the screen. In Forza Horizon 5's benchmark mode, I get anywhere from 10-40 stutters per run (a 1.5 minute period). Both are on max settings with 1-2 settings down a notch. On lower settings there is no change in stutter. I think that this could also be a CPU related issue. in Forza Horizon 5 on the benchmark graphs, there are random drops in the CPU render that go well below the framerate, causing a stutter (or so I think). Because of how severe and random the drops are, however, I don't think that it is the result of a CPU bottleneck. Ryzen 5 3600X, RTX 2070S, 16gb Ram, 2tb game drive, 256gb boot drive. Failed remedies: completely wiped my PC and reset the bios. Nvidia control panel settings have been set to default. Lowered max CPU usage to 90% Disabled HPET in device manager Disabled CPB in bios Disabled PBO in bios Disabled XMP in bios Disabled all OC software (MSI afterburner, CTR) Disabled Windows defender real time protection Reinstalled drivers (after wiping system) Defragmented both drives Ran games on a clean boot Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? PC shutting off while playing games Posted: 11 Nov 2021 02:38 PM PST Troubleshooting Help:Case: LIAN LI LANCOOL ONE RGB Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-9700KF Processor (8x 3.60GHz/12MB L3 Cache) Motherboard: ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 4S-IB (WiFi) Memory: 16GB [8GB x 2] DDR4-3200MHz ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D41 RGB Video Card: MSI VENTUS GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER - 8GB GDDR6 (VR Ready) Power Supply: 850 Watt - CORSAIR RM850M 80 PLUS Gold Hard Drives: 512GB Intel 660P M.2 NVMe SSD + 2TB 7200RPM SEAGATE Hard Drive Recently, I've been so frustrated with my system as it is completely shutting off as if the power was out while gaming. It never happens during your average browsing and it only crashes when I'm trying to play something. Usually when I'm gaming the shut-off can occur from 3 to 30 minutes. I believe this issue began shortly after I upgraded to Windows 11 and I had to go into my bios settings and change tpm 2.0 and secure boot settings, but I've reverted back from windows 11 and reset bios already and it still will continue to shut-off. I've ran a deep malware scan and I've also reset my PC believing it could've also been a software issue, but it did not help in the end. I've also looked up issues similar to mine and they all recommend changing the power supply. I upgraded from a 750W to an 850W, even though my original power supply should have enough power, and it still continues to shut-off while gaming. I'm not sure what could be causing the issue anymore, and I'm considering trying to get a new graphics card and seeing if it's causing the issue, but I'm open to some ideas/troubleshooting fixes. Can I dispute with my bank for money back? Posted: 11 Nov 2021 12:15 PM PST So there's this app called Veve. It's an nft app and you need gems to buy the nfts so I went to buy 100 dollars worth of it. Then as I try to buy stuff I learn that the money stays inside the app no matter what, there's no way of pulling it out even if an nft 10x or whatever. Would I be able to dispute for my money back with my bank? [link] [comments] |
