| Posted: 30 Sep 2021 11:42 PM PDT Hello, can somebody help me with this issue I have. My xiaomi redmi note 10 5G keeps killing my apps tasks. It mostly affects Messenger and AdGuard. I have already "locked" those apps in optimalisation settings, turned them to never restrict in battery management settings, auto Launch/start to on but the phone keeps killing those apps. I don't know what to try anymore. Does anyone have ideas? How did you fix this on your phone? I am thinking about rooting my phone and making these apps system apps or just installing another Rom of i can't fix it but it bothers me because i like the other MIUI features... However, today I finally received my SIM card but after installing it, I keep getting errors saying "Couldn't Activate SMS Positioning". I'm trying to use Straight Talk by T-Mobile services. I ended up reading and seeing some reports that the phone isn't compatible with the new services that T-Mobile has. I'm kind of to the point of just wanting to return the phone, but I'm pissed off at the same time, since the place that I purchased the phone from stated that it would work with basically everything that wasn't CDMA or Cricket. Edit: Forgot to say that I've tried changing the APN settings and all of that stuff and nothing worked. I'm still unsure if it's a phone issue or a service issue. [link] [comments]  | ||

I'm looking to order one from Ali sometime before the end of October. As somebody who knows little to nothing about modern smartphones, Is there anything I should be aware of before I do? Alternatively, what other phone would you recommend? I'm mainly interested in design, camera, and battery. I'm not a mobile gamer, so while gaming performance would be a nice addition, it's not a make-or-break for me. | Pico f2 pro screen and frame replacement Posted: 01 Oct 2021 07:50 AM PDT Hi i changed once the screen without problem but now i changed the frame too. Frame and screen were already glued. After repairing it i had the phone continuously rebooting, up to a time i was asked to erase all. I did it and it didn't fix my pb. So in the menu i choose to reinstall everything. Now it is working fine but i can't use the fingerprint reader. I tried to set it with white and black things and at a time it was ok and i could add fingerprints but it didn't work to open the phone. Now it is not working again in CIT. And i have no sound during mhone calls but pple hear me well so i think it's the receiver. But i saw a yt video to see how it shount be unmount but i don't understand to what the receiver is connected. I can try to reopen the phone but i'm not sur what to do. | Posted: 01 Oct 2021 09:57 AM PDT I've got a Redmi Note 5 Pro (Whyred) with Havoc OS installed. This morning I tried to dirtflash Pixel Experience Plus (build from 12/9/2021). I didn't pay attention to the part of updating OrangeFox prior to flashing, so I proceeded anyway. Everything wen't fine, apparently until I tried to reboot the device. It only boots to Fastboot or gets stuck at OrangeFox logo, not doing anything else. I tried to flash TWRP via fastboot, but my PC detects the device as COM port. | Earbuds/Airdots 3 Pro: no sound Posted: 01 Oct 2021 01:21 PM PDT Hi. I just got some Airdots 3 Pro (Chinese name of the Earbuds Pro 3). They are working just fine with my phone, which is good. But i have paired them with a Bluetooth transmitter I have and I don't get any sound. The transmitter works fine (I tested it with a Bluetooth speaker and it works when I attached it to the TV and the computer), but when I pair it with the Airdots i don't get any sound. | Mi 5 - heating up and battery drain even after change Posted: 01 Oct 2021 12:24 PM PDT Hello, I've had Mi 5 since 2017 and especially since the latest updates the phone started to heat up a lot esp when downloading something (about 39°C). That would be understandable and all, but the biggest issue I'm facing is the battery drainage (even without using phone data). The battery took about an hour to charge to 100% and discharged quite fast over the course of the day. I thought the problem was the battery, because it might've been at the end of its life span, so I changed for a new one. The same problem persisted! I tried installing another ROM (Pixel Experience) and yet there's the same issue with the battery. What's this about? Is there actually any solution to this battery issue or is it high time to dispose of the phone altogether? Edit: The battery was changed in an authorized service and they assured me that they did change it, but when I put the battery on a charger and measured it with AccuBattery, it showed that it charged only about 1500 mAh, instead of 3000 it should have.
