So i checked online to see some tips on how to get better battery life and i tried everything like lowering the maximum processor state decreasing the brightness to like 20% , turning on battery saver and im still getting 4 hours it doesnt cross that . its like its locked at that 4 hour range [link] [comments]

Asus rog g531gv keyboard key buy Posted: 29 Oct 2021 01:09 PM PDT Hey everyone! I would like to replace shift key on my laptop but I don't know where to buy it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2021 10:11 AM PDT As a software developer I need a good CPU with many cores, at least 32G RAM and 1T SSD. I don't need any special graphic card. My only requirement is to plug HDMI and play 1080p videos so I believe any integrated card is enough. I hate the fact of all top level laptops come with expensive GPU that will be idle in my case. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2021 09:49 AM PDT I recently purchased a Legion 5 (Ryzen 5800H, RTX3050, 8GB) and have had a strange problem. The laptop will occasionally stop charging and the only way to resume is to disconnect the charger from the wall outlet and then reconnect. It seems to charge fine when thr laptop is turned off, which makes me think it's a heat problem of some sort. I know very little about computers and could really use some advice as I have only 8 days to return it to Best Buy. [link] [comments]
Videos on laptop buffering nonstop Posted: 29 Oct 2021 09:45 AM PDT I know it's not my wifi, this only started happening today. I have 3 wifis, and all of them have the same issue, so I'm certain its not the connection. everytime i watch a video it stops for a sec and speeds up it basically just buffers nonstop every few seconds even on the lowest quality. help [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2021 01:29 PM PDT Hi All, As I say I'm thinking of buying this laptop, its partly for work and partly for gaming. When working I like to use 2 monitors. I've been seeing that you need a thunderbolt port to use 2 monitors from a laptop? I think there is a fail safe option to just use a USB to DP/HMDI adapter but I wanted to see what the deal was. Thanks :) [link] [comments]

I'm thinking of getting an Asus Tuff Dash as a gaming device and casual work Posted: 29 Oct 2021 12:25 PM PDT so I recently came to the conclusion that I wanted to get a new laptop, my old dell I have now works well for what need ( primarily watching movies, listening to music, messaging friends, and light school work) but I want to upgrade to something that I can do some light gaming on. By light gaming I mean games like Skyrim, black ops 2, Warframe , Sky , ect. I'm ideally looking to keep it below $1300. I'm looking into the Asus Tuf dash 15 but after looking into laptops that fit into my price range I'm kind of confused on what to get. so if anyone is willing to help I would greatly appreciate it. Posted: 29 Oct 2021 11:54 AM PDT I want to buy a 3070 gaming laptop. My budget is not more than $2.300. I'll mostly play non multiplayer games like far cry 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, dying light and watch dogs 2. What's your advise on the following 3 I've found (All have 3070): -GIGABYTE Aorus 15G 15.6 Inch FHD 240Hz i7-10870H 32GB -Razer Blade 15 Base Model 15.6 Inch FHD 144Hz i7-11800H 16GB -MSI GP66 Leopard 11UG-248 15.6 Inch FHD 240 Hz i7-11800H 16 GB If you have any other suggestions please do say. As this would be my first gaming laptop (I've only had Macs), I'm quite lost with all the laptop options. Thank You! [link] [comments]
Help my laptop is extremely hot Posted: 29 Oct 2021 11:52 AM PDT HELP my laptop is over 120 degrees Fahrenheit (the EXTERIOR of the laptop) and my laptop is considerably slower, and last night I left my peripherals plugged in, and put my laptop to sleep instead of powering it off, and left in plugged in. My laptop is an Acer Swift 3 with a AMD RYZEN 4700U, and it has integrated Radeon graphics. Should I be worried? My laptop has NEVER been this hot (I have a possible burn on my hand from touching it 5 min ago). [link] [comments]
Is this a compatible SSD? Sata or nvme? Posted: 29 Oct 2021 10:49 AM PDT I have Asus ROG Strix G513QE-HN157T 15.6" R9-5900HX 8GB 1TB SSD RTX3050TI 4GB Win10 Gaming Laptop Already upgraded the ram to 16 GB... I plan to take care of my SSD through leaving 30% free space so I can only use 651 GB approx. The thing is I'm already nearing 650gb so I wanted to consider buying another 1 tb SSD... I saw Samsung 980 gen 3 with decent speeds which is nvme and there is the more expensive Samsung Evo gen 3 SATA with slower speed but I guess it is in a way more durable? I also saw this "Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD 1TB MZ-V7S1T0BW Solid State Drive" Question 1. Any opinions between these 3 SSD? Question 2. I already researched and I see this laptop supports 2 slots for sata and nvme The thing that I want to make sure is does this laptop support where I put 2 nvme or it should be 1 sata and 1 nvme? And just to make sure, I saw this "M.2 SSD Support List: M.2 512GB PCIe, M.2 1TB PCIe" does it mean it supports 512 or 1tb per slot meaning if I put SSD 1tb each in 2 slots my laptop will now have 2 tb or does it mean the laptop can only support max of 1tb? Although the latter does not make sense as it already have a built in of 1 tb so why bother 2 slots if the laptop supports only max of 1tb but I just wanted a second opinion about this [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2021 09:17 AM PDT Razer Blade 2017 Charger issues Recently the 165w charger, rc30-0165, that came with my Razer Blade 14" (gtx 1060 model) died because of the notorious issue with the cable at the base melting due to heat. While looking for a replacement I stumbled upon the 180w charger, ADP-180TB F, that I believe came with the 15" models. My question is 1. Is this charger compatible with my 14" Razer Blade, plug wise. 2. Is it more reliable than the 165w charger. And 3. Can my 14" model handle 180w of power? Thank you in advance for anyone that can help! [link] [comments]

People with laptops, how do you now forget charging it? Posted: 29 Oct 2021 08:27 AM PDT I have a gaming laptop. It's not an old one, I have it less than a year. Thing is, my parents don't allow me to charge it 24/7. So I need to time it correctly, when I'm going to charge it and when I'm going to uplug it. I know that letting laptop batteries drain completely is bad. The problem is, sometimes my slow internet, and if I want to download a game or upload seomthing to soemwhere, I'm going to need to let it on. And sometimes I just forget and the laptop battery goes to 0%. I set a low battery warning, but it if I'm away from my laptop I won't notice it. And when I come back it's off. Do you guys have some kind of trick? [link] [comments]

What Asus Vivobook 15 Pro should I take? Posted: 29 Oct 2021 08:14 AM PDT Hi guys! So I've been thinking about buying Asus Vivobook 15 Pro with Ryzen 7 5800H processor and AMD Radeon integrated graphics for about 1250$. But I saw a deal for same one with Ryzen 9 5900HX and GeForce RTX 3050 4GB for about 1400$. Is it worth the upgrade? I don't game much, just a causal small gaming, but is the better GPU and better CPU smarter to buy in the long run because I intend to keep this laptop for couple of years? Thanks!
