Why does my media control fill with dots? Posted: 19 Sep 2021 07:40 PM PDT Whenever I pause my podcasts for awhile, starting it again adds another dot. Each of these swipeable screens is my podcast player, most the same podcast. On OP7Pro, using Podcast Republic and now also AntennaPod, same problem. [link] [comments] |
Lineage OS 17.1 on galaxy s3 neo does not find internal storage/sdcard Posted: 19 Sep 2021 10:04 PM PDT Hi, I have installed lineage OS 17.1 using TWRP on a Samsung Galaxy s3 Neo. The installation has completed, and the OS works fine but if I try to add files (like make a photo) I get an error he says "Unable to find SD Card" but he must save on the device internal storage. What can I do? There is a guide, a resolution to solve this? [link] [comments] |
Anyone else's Autoplay OFF, yet still videos auto play? How frustrating. Posted: 19 Sep 2021 09:59 PM PDT YouTube is off but still plays. Play store is off and actually remains off.. Google. Com has the one cookie where you turn off auto play from the settings there, it's off. Where else are there video play settings? Captions are in the same boat too... 🤔 [link] [comments] |
Sim 1 receiving text for sim 2? My phone switches sim card. Please help Posted: 19 Sep 2021 09:42 PM PDT I have 2 sims in my Samsung A11. Sim 1 is for personal use and sim 2 is for work. Also, I use sim 1 for my data usage and sim 2 for work related calls and messages. Ever since my carrier started to support Volte, I sometimes receive the messages showing that it was received in sim 1. The annoying part is that I will accidentally send my messages thru sim 1. I am sure that those messages are for my sim 2 because I don't give out my sim 1 number. I already set my sim 2 for calls and messages while sim 1 for data to avoid accidents like these. Can somebody please help me? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Playing a youtube playlist during GPS navigation? Posted: 19 Sep 2021 12:38 PM PDT Is it possible to play your own youtube playlist (only the audio) while driving and during the native android GPS navigation? Ideally with a native android setup or a google application. thank you (the youtube playlist isn't necessarily a song so to my knowledge "youtube music" would be of no help) [link] [comments] |

What device to try out android 12 Beta? Posted: 19 Sep 2021 07:13 PM PDT iPhone user looking to dip my feet in the water I've been a die-hard Android fan until lollipop and switched to the dark side and am currently happy with my iPhone 12 Pro. I'm looking to throw the Android 12 beta on an older phone and play around and see if I want to switch. I was eyeing a pixel3 to get a pure android experience without breaking the bank. Any other devices I should be on the lookout for? Not looking to spend more than $150 for something cheap on swappa that can run the 12 beta. [link] [comments] |
Multiple Samsung Galaxy J3s stopped working... Posted: 19 Sep 2021 07:06 PM PDT We have two J3s in our household. The first one acted up a few days ago. It randomly restarted, but then it got stuck on the boot up screen and vibrated every ten seconds or so. I dismissed that as battery failure or something bc my sister keeps it plugged to a charger 24/7 in her room for some asinine reason. But then the other one (mine) did the exact same thing today. Neither phone works :// What's up with this timing? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Sep 2021 06:53 PM PDT Has anyone switched from iOS to android? If so how was your experience and do you like it better? This may be what I'm doing when the pixel 6 pro comes out. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Sep 2021 06:27 PM PDT Hey all, i'm just trying to figure out some issues that started in the past few days in regards to sending texts. It happened out of the blue but i do have an sim card from my old phone that i had for years. On my new phone (Moto E 2020) more often than not i'll send a text but it'll be stuck on "Sending" for at least 2 minutes and if i close the message app while it's sending and re-open it, it just says "Waiting for connection" and fails to send the text. It does it on my old phone (Moto E 2018 or 2019) but maybe for 30 seconds, if that and never fails to send. It's not something i've noticed before and i've had the new phone about a month. Could a sim card issue cause this? I know when i cleaned the sim to trouble shoot the issue the wear lines from the contacts on my old phone run up length wise on the sim card as oppose to up and down. could that cause an issue? I've done everything with the new phone, even a factory reset and nothing. I still have the same bars on my new phone as i do my old phone. I'm stumped. [link] [comments] |
Semi-New Samsung Galaxy S21 Android presses the back button even when the tool bar is hidden? Posted: 19 Sep 2021 02:36 PM PDT I will be watching a video or go on a web browser and the back button will randomly be pressed, even when the toolbar isn't up. When I watch videos in landscape mode, the tool bar is hidden so you can't press it. Suddenly, it will go from landscape to portrait. I thought it was just the app since it's Vanced YouTube (a YouTube app downloaded online) but I was on my web browser (Brave) and it would suddenly go back to the previous page. Oh and this may or may not be related, but certain apps like Dfndr Battery or the YouTube app will have some crash reports. For the DFNDR Battery, I will be on a different app and the (has stopped working) will pop up randomly out of nowhere. I do have some dirt on the side but it wouldn't be able to go past my screen protector AND it doesn't explain why the back button can be pressed even when the tool bar isn't showing. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? Thank you so much! [link] [comments] |
Weird changes in headphones audio Posted: 19 Sep 2021 06:19 PM PDT I don't know how to clearly describe it, but I have a problem with my wireless headphones (JBL TUNE500BT) : sometimes, the "average" volume randomly changes. For example, 10% of volume is now as loud as 40% of volume before, or the other way around. I have no idea where does this come from, as it happened with other headphones (all the same model, though), but I can't think of any reason my phone (samsung galaxy s10) would have done that. Does someone know where this could come from ? [link] [comments] |
Can you break a phone from just putting weight on it? Posted: 19 Sep 2021 05:18 PM PDT Ok, weird question I know, but I recently got a new phone (Galaxy A52s) and moronically within the first week, I managed to sit on it while forgetting that I had it in my back pocket. Now I'm really worried that I did something that might have damaged it or some of it's internal components. From the looks of it the phone seems fine, and it looks like there are no cracks or anything, but I really want to know if putting sudden pressure on a phone like that can damage it in any way (even if it has Gorilla Glass), or if I'm maybe just worrying too much? I really hope it's the latter, since I always get this feeling of having new things in their mint condition for as much as possible, and taking care of them as much as possible because I fear that a dent or even a scratch would ruin it and make me feel like shit for not knowing how to properly take care of my stuff :( [link] [comments] |
Galaxy A12, Wi-Fi won't show up. Posted: 19 Sep 2021 11:17 AM PDT Hello, I have a galaxy A12 that cant connect to the Wi-Fi, or rather it the Wi-Fi won't show up when I'm searching for it. I already have multiple devices connected to the Wi-Fi and I am kind of lost for ideas, because the phone can connect to other networks. so if someone have a clue where I could start looking, I would be grateful. ( I have already reset the router and factory reset the phone ) [link] [comments] |

Posted: 19 Sep 2021 04:56 PM PDT I am presently looking to purchase a new phone. Previously I have had 2 Samsung phones, a S8 and an A70. Before this I had iPhones. My main concern looking at other phones (moto G50 looks very attractive at £50 less than A32 with similar specs) is that I will have to learn a new UI. As I understand it, Samsung phones use a modified version of android with "OneUI" which includes the whole swipe down to see all apps thing which to me is quite useful. Are there any other manufacturers who have a similar UI and how much do they vary? My other question really is I know compared to any reasonable device android devices tend to get less long term support in terms of software but what companies have a track record of being best/ worst at this? thanks TL;DR: how different is android from different phone manufacturers and how long are they likely to get updates from different manufacturers [link] [comments] |
Grey lock screen when connected to TV Posted: 19 Sep 2021 04:46 PM PDT I recently had to replace my Galaxy s20 fe 5G, long story short, my screen is completely dead; no touch, fingerprint, or facial recognition. There are some notes I need that weren't back up so I'm getting pretty desperate. I looked up many methods for getting into the phone and my most successful one has been to get a hub with a mouse, keyboard, and HDMI. The only part I'm stuck at now is a grey screen with the time, date, and a lock icon. On the grey lock screen, I am not able to move the mouse or type anything. The only way to activate the grey screen is to press the power button or to move the mouse. I have no clue what this is or how to get around it. I tried the same method with a working phone, it's also a s20 fe, and it doesn't show anything on the TV until I unlock my phone. I would appreciate any information. I would have attached a picture of the grey screen but it's not letting me. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 19 Sep 2021 04:14 PM PDT I have a MicroSD card that I previously used in my Android phone and I want to back up the data that's on it (mainly the photos, but everything else as well). I thought I could just insert it into an SD card adapter, plug it into my computer, and then copy & paste everything on it onto my external hard drive. I keep getting error messages that "the operation can't be completed because the item [then there's a random file name here] is in use". It's a different file name each time I get the error, it's not one specific file. Each time the error pops up, it stops attempting to copy the microSD card data to the external hard drive. Is there a solution or a way around this? I'm using a MacBook because it's the only computer I have. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution for it? I'd really like to make sure I have these photos saved in multiple locations because they include family members and pets that have passed, I don't want to lose them if anything ever happens to the MicroSD card. Can't mass delete contacts from the phone app? Posted: 19 Sep 2021 03:26 PM PDT I logged into my spouse's Google account on my Pixel 5a (they lost their phone and I was trying to locate it) and it synced all of their contacts to my phone app. There's no option to mass delete from the phone app (I unsynced contacts in the contacts app) so I'm having to manually delete hundreds of contacts. The phone app is what my Android auto uses when I try to make hands free calls/texts and it's annoying trying to figure out which contact is kind and which are my spouse's when using auto. I've tried googling, but it only comes up with how to delete contacts in the contacts app, which isn't my problem. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there actually a way to delete all of these contacts out of my phone app at over instead of having to go through one by one? I've tried long pressing, I've looked through the settings options, and I've tried going to the Google contacts online page, but that is only showing my contacts from my contacts app. Pixel 5a Android 11 T-Mobile [link] [comments] |

Can anyone tell my why I can't backup my android via samsung find my mobile? Posted: 19 Sep 2021 02:06 PM PDT As you can see i have all the options except a backup option, I need to backup my phone badly as the display and touchscreen doesn't work, samsung and everywhere tells me I should have a "backup" option in the menu of the image yet i just have a blank space instead. It seems there is absolutely no information as to why the backup option isn't appearing so any help would be really appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Sep 2021 01:50 PM PDT I purchased my OP6 in my home country. I am in a different country now, and I have two SIM cards - one for each country - on my phone. Ever since upgrading to Android 11, my phone switches to my home country time every time I take my phone off airplane mode. I have already disabled the automatic selection of country/region code under Assisted Dialling. This issue wasn't there on the previous version of Android. What could the issue be?
