| Posted: 01 Sep 2021 09:21 AM PDT Just purchased my OnePlus 9 Pro and am having it delivered today! I'm very excited to be back in the OnePlus community after several years, and even more excited to have the freedom to root and customize my phone to my liking, however, I've been out of the loop for so long since I've been on Samsung devices for 8 years now, so I'm wondering about the process of rooting these days, and any potential ramifications of doing so. Are there any known significant downsides to unlocking the bootloader and rooting the device? Is any functionality lost? Performance hits? I'll be using the device on the standard Oxygen OS that comes with it, and using it for average use case senarios. The entire desire to root is honestly for system wide ad blocking, a modified YouTube client with root access, and basic customization. Any info on this topic would be greatly appreciated! *To Clarify: This device is a T-Mobile OnePlus 9 Pro, but my understanding is that all OP devices are exactly the same, and have no extra locks or protections to prevent any tinkering. After installing a new app for the first time in while, the app doesn't show up in my list of installed apps or hidden space. I can use the app, search for it, create a icon on my main-screen, but doesn't show up in my app drawer. Anyone know how to fix this? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 01 Sep 2021 10:48 AM PDT I purchased a OnePlus 7 pro refurbished late last year to use on my AT&T plan. The phone I had, Razer Phone II, was not going to be supported by AT&T and the VoLTE and the 7 Pro would be. Turns out the model of 7 Pro I received is a GM1915 from T-Mobile and will not be supported by AT&T. Only the GM1917 International Model will be. You can convert a GM1915 to the GM1917 International Model with a reflash of the phone. I cannot find confirmation that it will work after the reflash, has any one come across this problem and does the reflash work? Is there a hardware difference between the two or is it solely the software? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 01 Sep 2021 10:36 AM PDT Does anyone have really bad issues with their OnePlus Buds Pro? I bought some and the connenction is horrible. Quick Connect doesnt work with my 8t, and the connection gets lost randomly constantly and anything that can slightly bloxk the connections makes me lose connection. For example covering my ears with my hands blocks it or just laying on a pillow. This does happen with any other phone. And this doesnt happen with any other buds. Also I dont get any settings to configure ANC in settings, Im obligated to use the HeyMelody app even tho Im on an 8t with its latest release 11.0.10.10 . Does anyone else experience something like this? I wrote OnePlus support but they are useless and I cant find anyone with these issues due to them releasing recently. Edit: Ive managed to install the OnePlus Buds app through an APK and quick connect now works but sadly the Bluetooth connection is still trash. F.e Putting my hands over my ear completely stops and ruins the connection :( [link] [comments]  | ||

However, after exporting, the brightness will randomly shoot up less than a second after the video plays. This has never happened before. I tried - restarting the phone - trying other apps - uninstalling and installing the video editing apps I don't know why this is happening or how to stop it. The excessive brightness is making the videos difficult to look at, even if I lower it in the video editing app itself. [link] [comments]  | ||

I'm a little worried since I've heard they're for India phones only, and I've even noticed the functionality come and go (along with the Red Cable Club thing, which is India only) over the years as I've bounced around different OOS releases - many of which came from Oxygen Updater and may have originated from another market. | Oneplus 7t Mclaren fingerprint scanner problem Posted: 01 Sep 2021 03:38 AM PDT Recently went from Oneplus 7t to Oneplus 7t Mclaren and the finger print scanner on the Mclaren does not work nearly as well as the 7t! n fact, it probably only works 20% of the time, versus 100% of the time on the 7t. | Posted: 31 Aug 2021 10:48 PM PDT So today I woke up and I noticed my phone (Nord 2) was still off and I assumed that I woke up before my alarm clock went off. I proceed to turn my phone on and noticed that I had notification saying my alarm already went of 4 times , but it obviously didn't as I had to turn my phone on and give my sim password. Did Anyone else had this problem? Edit: the option to turn the phone ON when a alarm is set is enabled, so that is not the problem , its also worked fine the past couple weeks up to today. Have never touched the actual screen glass since getting it in Dec 2018. Should I take it off knowing I may have to use it for another year? Does the plastic protectors actually protect against fall damage? I've dropped it a few times and never had any damage.
