Posted: 28 Aug 2021 09:02 AM PDT I wanted to share my experience incase anyone has been having similar issues. I have a launch edition OP6. Over the last 2-3 months it had been starting to struggle significantly with performance and battery life. I was running a stock ROM on it. Battery started to die within 18 hours of regular use after full charge (<3.5 hours of screen on time). This was atypical for the phone, but I figured it was nearing the end of the battery's lifespan. Before giving up on the battery/phone, I saw that OnePlus had an official Android 11 build for OP6 that has not been pushed out globally. I went ahead with a manual upgrade to Android 11 and the phone is back! Performance and battery life are basically equivalent to day 1 again. By end of day I now have ~50-60% battery compared to ~1% before update. If you are having issues with your OP6 I highly suggest going through the manual update to Android 11. https://www.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6-6t-stable-android-11-oxygenos-11-update/ [link] [comments]

Mobile data hasn't worked since android 11 update Posted: 28 Aug 2021 09:57 AM PDT Anyone know how to fix this? A Google search brings up others experiencing the same issue on OnePlus phones, so I don't think it's my cell provider. I have tried reseating my sim and switching the tray position of my sim card, neither has worked. Tried resetting my network settings as well, also didn't work. [link] [comments]
[OP 6] can the battery be upgraded to beyond 3300 Mah? Posted: 28 Aug 2021 04:27 PM PDT My OP6 is going pretty well I even had the screen and battery replaced once. But the problem is that the 3300 MaH battery is not enough for my needs. Can it ever be bumped up? If not the sad part is that I will be replacing it with a phone with a better battery but with worse performance. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Aug 2021 08:25 PM PDT I want to hold onto my Nord for at least 4 years. I bought the 256/12GB version in March 2021. Can I expect this to hold up for 4 years? I've read the 765G is a solid chipset but I should expect performance drop-offs in less than a year. Any thoughts/ideas? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Cheers! [link] [comments]
Does anybody knows of a video player that can HDR movies Posted: 28 Aug 2021 05:38 PM PDT Lets say you can get a file with HDR on it , which player to use to watch said content. I been searching and searching. I don't know which player out there, can take advantage of the hdr capabilities of the 7pro. I try MX player. But the colors look saturated. What do you guys use? What settings are you using it with Thanks [link] [comments]

Is there a way to revert back to OxygenOS? Posted: 28 Aug 2021 04:14 PM PDT After trying out a few custom ROMs for the last few months, I've decided that I want to go back to OxygenOS. However, I wasn't able to find a way to go back. I remember I have tried using a batch file that was supposed to wipe the phone clean and flash OxygenOS on it. My phone didn't end up booting after that. So is there any way to do it or am I missing something here? Btw, I am using a OnePlus 7. Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Aug 2021 04:06 PM PDT I'm considering switching from my samsung galaxy s9 to a oneplus 7 pro, although there's one feature I use that I can't find a clear answer as to if there's a true equivalent or not, that being samsung's Secure Folder. All the answers I found online are at least 2 years old, and seem to offer potential solutions, but i'm not clear on if they'd work for me. I would need a seperate, contained space, lockable with a pin, that can handle apps (ideally a second install of an app i already have) and photos, which can interaxt with each other and stay seperate from the outside phone environment (i.e. downloading a photo in a web browser or off twitter and having it not be visible in my photos app outside the space). Is there any solution people here know of that fulfills this need, either included with the software or external/downloaded additionally somehow? [link] [comments]
OnePlus 9 Pro camera crashing and sending phone to black screen Posted: 28 Aug 2021 12:02 PM PDT Video I uploaded to YouTube showing an example My OnePlus 9 Pro 8GB+128GB arrived today. I updated it to the latest software (OOS 11.2.8.8.LE15BA). When I use the camera for a few minutes, no matter which mode I'm in, the app freezes and the phone goes to a black screen. The phone is completely unresponsive unless I hold down the power and volume buttons and force a reboot. This happens every single time I use the camera. It's 18°C so not too warm or cold, I haven't been running lots of apps or intensive apps. The camera crashes even when there's no other apps running in the background. Anyone else experienced this? And any idea whether it is possible to resolve it or have I got a dud? [link] [comments]
OnePlus 9 pro White text below keyboard Posted: 28 Aug 2021 07:00 AM PDT Has anyone else seen this bug and found a fix? OP6 new update causes brightness delay Posted: 28 Aug 2021 03:23 PM PDT I wanted to ask you guys, after updating to the new Android 11 version, everytime I Increase or reduce the brighness of my screen it takes at least 2 seconds to take effect. I know it doesn't sound like much but getting the brightness just right using the slider alone instead of getting direct feedback from my screen really bothers me [link] [comments]
Wyze smart plug not working with my OnePlus 6 and 6t Posted: 28 Aug 2021 02:49 PM PDT I bought a Wyze smart plug in the USA but whenever I try to set it up it does not connect to my WiFi and keeps giving me an error which says - " Unable to connect, pls re check your password". I've tried it both with an op6 and op6t. I also asked for a replacement which is showing the same issue Any ideas on what to do. [link] [comments]
OP8T - Freeze with long beep sound and now can’t power on Posted: 28 Aug 2021 10:26 AM PDT have a glitch on top of the screen then freeze with beep sound around 5sec and now my op8t is dead. i'm very concern about my data on phone (pictures and works) ;( [link] [comments]
Has the 1080p 60fps video option disappeared in Android 11 (One Plus 7 Pro)? Posted: 28 Aug 2021 09:34 AM PDT It's crazy how barebone the Camera App settings have become... But this is making me become crazy: where is the 60fps option for recording videos? I can't find it everywhere (there's just a single button to switch from 4k to 1080p but both record in 30fps, even with stabilization off). Has OnePlus fucked up that bad? Don't tell me the only option I have is to install Google Camera 🦍 [link] [comments]
OP7 Pro drops calls when using Bluetooth headset/car audio? Posted: 28 Aug 2021 01:04 PM PDT Hi guys, Bit of a weird problem with my OnePlus 7 pro. Recently I've had a lot of bad reception and dropped calls with my phone, but only while connected to a Bluetooth headset or car-audio. My only theory is that the antennas are somehow interfering with each other and making a problem. Har anyone experienced this? Running latest OTA available. Just to be clear the calls are not ended by the Bluetooth devices. The connection to the car and headset is constant so it's not dropped. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Screen protector help for Oneplus 8 pro Posted: 28 Aug 2021 01:00 PM PDT Hello all! I have been having issues fifning a good screen protector that works. I have tried 4 different tempered glass makes, one of which was a uv glue application, and currently have a tpu protector on the phone. The issue is all of them have become unstuck in less than a day. Currently the tpu protector has held its own for a week but the edge by the power button and alerts slider keeps coming unstuck. I am using a spigen case if this helps. Please let me know what protectors you have used and where i can get one!! [link] [comments]
[OP 9 Pro] Google Assistant stopped responding from the lockscreen - how do I fix it? Posted: 28 Aug 2021 02:52 AM PDT It worked last Thursday, when I got the phone, but has since stopped to respond when I call to it. I've looked around and tried tweaking settings, but nothing seems to sort it. [link] [comments]

My Rear Camera stopped working (Oneplus 5T) Posted: 28 Aug 2021 05:24 AM PDT I live in Brazil and i believe there is no RMA in this country, at least not near me, the thing is, since the beginning of this month (august) the camera stopped working, and it seems a hardware problem, i cant afford a new phone right now so, is there any options? Front and 2nd rear camera working fine, just the main camera stopped working, is there a way to swap the 1st to the 2nd rear camera? I just need to read QR codes now and then :c [link] [comments]

Oneplus Buds Pro is mentioned as compatible with only Oneplus 9 Pro and Oneplus 9 Posted: 27 Aug 2021 11:19 PM PDT The Oneplus Buds Pro require bluetooth 5.2 to work properly and we have only two Oneplus devices compatible in that sense aka Oneplus 9 Pro and Oneplus 9, even the Oneplus 9R is not compatible since it uses Bluetooth 5.1, anyone has any idea on how connectivity and perfromance on any other devices with a lower bluetooth version is? does it connect? if it does, is the performance on par with an actual compatible device? Additionally the full features of the earphones unlock with only Oneplus phone's, I am considering buying them, currently out of stock for my region, how are they in the connectivity aspect? like even the iPhones are incompatible(still using Bluetooth 5). Here is a reference of what Oneplus themselves are saying https://im.ge/i/QuUSwT [link] [comments]
