I've already tried register to network from the cellular data settings which I found on YouTube but it's not working. Posted: 03 Jul 2021 05:11 PM PDT When my phone is in portrait mode, it's fine to have the bar at the bottom to leave some finger room and to dismiss the keyboard. However, in landscape mode, the bar just takes up so much unnecessary space at the bottom just to be able to dismiss it. It looks much better than it does in 3 button navigation. Is there a way to get rid of it? It just takes up so much space and looks ridiculous. I have a Pixel 4a on Android 11, so it might be different on other devices, but I'm not sure. Posted: 03 Jul 2021 08:30 PM PDT I noticed while watching a Minecraft youtube video today that my new edge plus display looks really bad. It's an AMOLED display, just like my old 5T so I compared and sure enough, the 5T display looks much better. I've attached a link below to see the images, where the first one is from my desktop however, my 5T looks just as good, and the second image is of the Edge Plus. Does anybody know what's going on here? Can I even fix this? I've already tried all the different display modes (natural, boosted, saturated), I've tried adjusting the brightness and I've tried rebooting the phone. [link] [comments]  |

| S20 FE 5G Gaming Lag | High CPU Low GPU Posted: 03 Jul 2021 05:51 PM PDT I get lag spikes when playing Genshin Impact on my S20 FE 5G (Snapdragon). I turned on the CPU and GPU charts and found that my CPU was hitting 100% while my GPU stays at around 20-40%. My phone also gets quite hot after a while, probably because of the CPU. I've found that disabling "Appear on top" for Game Booster and Game Optimizing Service decreased the lag for some reason. Also, changing the graphics quality doesn't seem to do much. Is there a way to optimize GPU usage? I've messed with Force x4 MSAA and Disable HW Overlays in the developer settings, but they didn't produce any definitive results. I've left them off for now. I seem to get "fair" when most of my friends have full signal on their Android phones. When I use a laptop full signal. I have the latest version of Lineage maybe the ROM is causing this? | Galaxy S21 Bluetooth is very quiet Posted: 03 Jul 2021 10:31 PM PDT This issue seems to mostly be for my car Bluetooth radio thing, but my earbuds seem quiet too so I think it's an issue with the Bluetooth. I mostly just notice this issue with YouTube. Calls and Spotify seem to be okay, but they might just be louder anyway. I only noticed this issue in this past week. I've tried enabling and disabling absolute volume in the developer settings. I've noticed no difference. I've also messed with the version of Bluetooth. I've unpaired and repaired all my devices. I downloaded sound assistant from the galaxy store. Nothing seems to help at all. Even if you don't know the issue, if anyone knows how to just jack up the volume of Bluetooth that would be helpful too. I'm an uber eats driver so this is very annoying. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 03 Jul 2021 10:08 PM PDT I often do research in the Library (Public Wifi). I have a Pixel 4XL w/ Lineage. There was a recent update to Lineage and I don't know if that did something. I have tried turning off VPN, setting DNS to automatic/none. Forgetting network and reconnecting. Resetting Network Settings. Restarting. Could it be a issue with the trust certificates and how do you update those manually? When I connect and it says "no internet" I click sign in which used to take me to the portal page to agree to "terms of service," and now it says (pic attached), "the network you're trying to join has security issues." Tried both "Continue Anyways via Browser," and "leave as is." This happens with some other public wifi as well. Tried on multiple internet browsers. The person was contacted way back when but never came to pick it up. So we cleaned out lost and found, and I got to keep the phone. | need help with a factory reset Posted: 03 Jul 2021 03:45 PM PDT looking for some advice. bought an oppo a72 today brand new. i was setting it up, downloading apps, signing in etc. when somehow my fingerprint stopped working and the pin for the lock screen doesn't work either. i'm going to head back to the shop tomorrow but i was wondering if anyone knew a way to factory reset it externally? i've managed to navigate to the recovery menu but that needs the pin too. i have also tried doing a reset via google's find my phone, but it just won't connect. any help would be appreciated! the call centre isn't open until monday and i need the phone asap. obviously there's nothing valuable to lose as i only used it for about an hour, so wiping it clean would be fine if there's no work around for the pin [link] [comments]  |

| Chrome browsing history in Android Posted: 03 Jul 2021 05:41 AM PDT I'm developing an application that needs to query my chrome browsing history periodically during a designated set of hours each day.This includes the Chrome browsing history of both my android phone and my PC laptop (Windows 10 if it matters).The solution I'm leaning toward is scheduling a php script that queries the 'History' sqlite file that chrome stores locally on my PC at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default.But my issue is that, as far as i've been able to investigate (using my sqlite DB browser to examine the data in tables of the 'History' sqlite file), the browsing history chrome stores locally on my PC is not "synced" with the chrome browsing history as recorded on my android phone, despite the fact that these browsing histories orignate from the same google account.I kind of had this assumption going in that chrome just "combines" the browsing histories of all your devices and made them available at one place. 1) Is this assumption incorrect? 2) Is my whole solution in general flawed?
