| OnePlus 8t battery suddenly dying very fast Posted: 29 Jul 2021 07:49 AM PDT Starting a few days ago, I noticed my battery was draining a little faster than usual (going from full day no problem to barely making the full day). But yesterday it suddenly started draining even faster, only barely making the full day, despite barely using it. Today, I woke up to my phone being dead, despite only sleeping a few hours and my phone being well over 65% before going to bed. Anyone know what's going on? | Posted: 29 Jul 2021 01:46 PM PDT Has anyone else noticed how hard it is go get decent photos with this thing? I constantly need to retake a photo to get it to turn out somewhat decent. My second phone is an iPhone 12 and that thing almost never misses a shot the first time. I have tried a factory reset, all updates done and various setting changes. I wanted to listen to some yt so I put my headphones in and my phone immediately connected to car bluetooth. Okay. Just turned off my bluetooth and went along watching and bam! It was connected again. I again turned off bluetooth from the notification shade and within 30 seconds it was back on. Anybody has had this issue before? Device OP6. Posted: 29 Jul 2021 03:56 AM PDT My wife and I both have identical Oneplus 5´s bought on the same day.Hers has significantly slower internet.We are both on Oxygen 10.0.1We both did speed tests outside.I got a result of 48mb download 21 upload.She got 4.8 download, 7.1 upload.It is consistently slower than mine.Any ideas? | Need help: OnePlus 7 Pro Crash Dump Mode Problem Posted: 29 Jul 2021 03:58 PM PDT Earlier today, I dropped my phone from about 6 feet. It seemed fine but I noticed a bit later that the front camera kept freezing when it popped up. It wouldn't recognize my face either. I started googling around and after trying to fix the camera the phone crashed. Once I restarted the phone, the Crash Dump Mode appeared. I have now tried for hours to find a solution, nothing works. For some weird reason, my phone won't connect to my PC. It says ''waiting for device''. I'm having trouble with the OEM USB Drivers. I suck at tech stuff and all of this is like greek to me. I'm going to adb shell and see what i can conjure from any logs but i don't know when it happened (the past 2 days or so) as i don't daily the phone. Anyone else ever have an app get removed or settings put back default from your preferred settings? It's user space wtf. It's not malicious either before anyone goes suggesting such and no i won't mention which cause as u all know that's the best way to get something you've gotten accustomed to doing on Android-- banished and deprecated or dropped for some bs reason. I went through the usual troubleshooting. Here is the deal. I did flash lineage when I got this 8t a few days ago and noticed OK google did not work there. I flashed back to oxygen and still no OK google. I have a new op9 right next to it with my accounts and such and OK google works. Is anyone else using OK google on their 8t? | Posted: 28 Jul 2021 08:51 PM PDT I got a notification that permissions were removed for unused apps so I tapped it to see which apps they were and to my surprise emergency rescue was on there, from what I understand that should ALWAYS have location access because when you call 911 in an emergency it sends them your location so you don't have to sit there and try to figure out where you are if you're not at home. Imo settings for that service should NEVER be touched without the user's permission, idk what update this was introduced in but I've never had this happen before (Currently on OOS 11, June security patch, T-mobile variant 7T), it said "last opened more than 3 months ago" but I've never had to call 911 on this phone before so it had to have been an update from about 3 months ago. If you want to check then go to settings, search for "permission", tap permission manager, tap it again, then go to location, it should be under always active or allowed only when in use and if "emergency rescue" isn't in either of those then it's probably disabled and you'll have to search for it in your apps to give it permissions back. Once it has permissions you can then stop it from automatically disabling in the permissions manager by going to the same location menu, tap emergency rescue, tap see all permissions at the bottom, and at the bottom of that menu there's a toggle to automatically disable permissions.
