Posted: 18 Jul 2021 11:16 AM PDT Apps with ARcore functionality, like Pokemon Go, and other games place virtual objects like pokemon in the 3d worldspace. . But, if you hold out your hand, the virtual thing then appears in front of your hand. . Are there ARCore apps that circumvent this? . Like, if you go and pick•up a virtual ball or pet a virtual pet, your hand wouldn't go behind the object\creature, and stay properly in front of it. [link] [comments]  |

I have Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 and I want to mirror what I see on the phone screen to an HDMI monitor. I don't need fancy features like Dex has, I just want it to act how monitors act on PCs. Uncle Google says "connect eveything and viola" but somehow the screen is still black. Already tried the developer method, I enabled the USB setting. Should I use an app? | My Android phone doesn't update my Google Maps Timeline anymore. Posted: 18 Jul 2021 11:40 AM PDT I upgraded my phone and just moved the sim over, all that went well. Now I can't get the phone to update my timeline, I use it to track my hiking/biking routes and it is kinda annoying. The phone is a Blackview BV9500Plus Android version 9. Location is on. Everytime I try to pull it up it just shows my apartment address. I checked whick devices are allowed and thee BV9500Plus is the only one I have checked. Went through walktroughs on google, nothing has helped. I know this must be something simple that I am just missing, but I am at wits end. [link] [comments]  |

| Looking for an app that can limit the rate of notifications (not block them entirely) Posted: 17 Jul 2021 03:25 PM PDT I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 running Android. I use multiple messaging apps such as Discord and Telegram. Discord's behavior is to only send you 1 notification sound/vibration when you receive a stream of multiple messages in quick succession; but Telegram's behavior is to send you a notification for each and every message you get, no matter how quickly they are sent. There is no way to control this in Telegram's notification settings without completely disabling notifications for the app or muting the particular chat. But that's not ideal, as I need to be notified when someone is talking to me; I just don't need to be notified for all 7 messages they just sent me in the span of 30 seconds. There's also no way to control this in system notifications. I'm looking for some kind of app that can rate-limit notifications on an app-by-app basis... even better if it can recognize individual chats within Telegram. For example, if I get new messages in 3 different chats in the span of like 10 seconds, then I still want to get 3 notifications. But if one chat sends me 3 messages in 10 seconds, I only want to get 1 notification. This essentially replicates Discord's behavior. I did look in the list pinned at the top of the subreddit, but nothing seemed like it fit what I need. [link] [comments]  |

Solo dev looking for testers of new App, not yet feature-rich but getting there. I'm looking for general feedback as well as specific feedback to Game controller integration. Will only work with made for iOS controllers (given iOS ecosystem requirements) on android will work with all controllers. | How do I stop sideloaded apps from being updated by the Play store? Posted: 17 Jul 2021 10:10 PM PDT I've downloaded and installed an older version of Reddit from APKMirror because I don't like the new video player, but even though I've installed it outside of the playstore it will auto update back to the latest version. Same with Discord which I sideloaded because the latest version is extremely sluggish. I thought the playstore didn't touch apps installed from elsewhere. How do I stop it? [link] [comments]  |
