I'm an editor/VFX artist and was wondering how the older (more expensive) Razer Studio edition compared to the new 15 Advanced 4k. It appears the biggest difference is the Quadro vs the 3080 and I wasn't sure how they compared. The Quadro is still way more expensive, but in stock. However it is several years older, so I wasn't sure if the 3080 caught up to it for creative applications. [link] [comments]  | ||

I also tried the sound/microphone test on settings with no luck. I was thinking maybe the mic is covered with a lot of dust so I tried tapping it and there seems to be no sound when testing the mic. | Posted: 01 May 2021 12:33 PM PDT I purchased an Asus Zenbook 2 in 1 laptop 3 years ago for $1100 and have had countless issues with it since. Within a year of purchasing the laptop, there was a major hardware issue that caused the laptop to not work at all. Luckily I was still within warranty and ASUS replaced the major components, however, I was without the laptop for about a month while it was being repaired so don't expect any quick repairs. About 8 months after that I started having an issue where the bottom middle of the screen would stay dim and the screen would flicker unless I had the laptop positioned a certain way. This is likely due to a faulty connection between the screen and the motherboard which can be attributed to the cheap wiring and overall build quality of the laptop. Since then another issue has arisen where I have to disable the touch screen and pen capabilities while I'm using the laptop or a constant pattern of "touches" on the touch screen will begin. Also, the worst of it all is if I don't touch the laptop while it is on I will get a blue screen that says my laptop has run into an issue and needs to restart. Finally, the laptop battery life is down to about 3 hours during normal use and much less with heavier use. If you run into issues after the warranty don't bother contacting their customer support as they will say to either pay $120 to have us remotely look at your laptop to fix any software issues (hardware issues wouldn't be resolved) or they recommended buying a higher-end laptop of theirs (aka bullshit). Anyways, the point of this rant is to give some insight to people considering buying this laptop so they know what they're getting into as I wish I had. [link] [comments]  | ||

It's been used for 10 years. I assume, it maybe the battery. I removed the battery and it says SONY Rechargeable Battery Pack VGP-BPS13/Q. PIC HERE I've looked online and there are so many options some battery says the exact model of battery (VGP-BPS13/Q) but doesn't say it's compatible with my laptop model (PCG-61411L). Posted: 01 May 2021 04:51 AM PDT i left it on standby for a while because i was doing an errand and when i came back it was barely responding. apps dont work, alt tab doesnt work, my chrome with 20 tabs open doesnt work, and there was no game running in the background. it was on the max performance when plugged in power preset. i force shut down it and it returned to normal. this never happened before, and im genuinely worried since the laptop is still pretty new. specs: hp laptop 15s-eq1117au with a ryzen 5 4500u with integrated radeon graphics, 188 GB C: drive and 288 for the D: drive because i partitioned it. it has 8Gb ram. the c drive has 45 gb free space left.
