Found a way to bring back the Facebook Messenger chat heads on Android 11 Posted: 01 May 2021 01:57 PM PDT I want to keep this short so here is what I did to have both Android 11 and the old chat heads: Download and install the APK for Messenger version 266 or below. Disable automatic updates for Messenger from the Play Store. Update Messenger from the Play Store (this enables sending pictures while still keeping the chat heads). Disable the automatic updates from the in-app settings (press on your avatar > App updates > Disable "Auto update Messenger"). This last step is very important, otherwise in a few days it will auto-update back to the dreaded bubbles. Many people were complaining about this, and I couldn't find this detail anywhere else, so I decided to make this post. Hope this helps! submitted by /u/Nethernia [link] [comments]
