Benefit from my dumbness, win a oneplus 9 pro carbon bumper case! Posted: 28 Apr 2021 09:46 AM PDT So I bought a brand new oneplus 8t, and with it, I got an option to pick a free case.... Only to select a oneplus 9 pro case by mistake(how was I even allowed to do that?) Knowing that the return process for it isn't worth it, I decided to give this away to one of you lucky members. Just post down below, and will pick a user at random. Must have an account older than 1 year, and karma of at least 100+. Usa only, sorry EU peeps. I'll run this for 3 days, winner will be picked on Sunday. Case will be shipped at my cost. Edit: it's the 9 pro karbon bumper, and just in case, I'll need verification that you own the oneplus 9 pro, so I know the case is going to someone who will use it. [link] [comments]
Why does the pro mode not have access to flash and the other main cameras? Posted: 28 Apr 2021 12:51 PM PDT I get that some knight in the comments will jump in to say that you don't need flash when you can fuck with exposure and stuff, but that's not the point, pro mode means full control and that includes flash. I'm experimenting with taking RAW pictures that look like they'd been shot on a film camera (as close as I can anyway) Why? just because. For that, I need the flashlight so I can combine it w/ low ISO (& tungsten white balance & low contrast if you care to know) to get that instant film camera look w/ dark background & flash illuminating the subject. Simultaneous music + charge not working (OP7P) Posted: 28 Apr 2021 02:04 PM PDT I bought a dongle so I get 3.5mm out + charging simultaneously, and was disappointed to find that the sound output stops right when you plug a charging cable into the dongle. I found a couple threads on the OP website full of (fairly angry) people saying an update broke this functionality but the date on most of these threads was December 2020. Is there something else going on, like did OP intentionally shut this off, or are they just ignoring it? [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Apr 2021 12:24 PM PDT I've tried restarting the phone once already and that hasn't helped at all. I can pull down the notification tray and even open settings from there, but the home/lock screen remains stuck at "Phone is starting...". My phone will even ring and show the missed call in the notification tray. Anyone else dealing with this? [link] [comments]

How can I revert back to stable on my Oneplus 7T? Posted: 28 Apr 2021 01:18 PM PDT Title. Switched to beta a while back but really there's no features I want in there. Recently my battery life's been terrible (Open Beta) so I'm wiping the phone. I reckon I might as well switch back to stable. Does anyone know of a detailed guided to switch back? All I've found online is people saying "you will have to wipe your phone to go back to stable" which I did know going in, but no more detailed explanations on how to actually do it. OP6T super laggy/slow at 11pm OOS 10 Posted: 28 Apr 2021 08:19 PM PDT So at exactly 11pm, my phone starts to get slow and very laggy, I can't type properly (Gboard) and everything is slow. I have to restart the phone everytime this happens at this hour. I'm using OOS 10.3.9, but it has also happened on previous versions. Any idea what could be the issue? [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Apr 2021 04:33 PM PDT My wife and I both have T-Mobile 6T's and they have been mostly great for us... In fact, they will are fine. We were going to take advantage of T-Mobile's current promotion of giving 50% off a 9 or 400ish off a 9 Pro (same amount off, basically). I am REALLY torn... Of course I want the pro because it's... well... Pro... but it's hard to justify that added cost for not a whole heck of a lot of benefit. Anyone have a strong argument either way? OnePlus 7- Android 11 Gallery and File Manager slowed down Posted: 28 Apr 2021 05:46 AM PDT I'm not sure if this is a issue faced by other people. But ever since the update, the gallery takes a considerable time to load all the thumbnails in the collection. Even the file manager is slower as it takes some time to load the stats. It isn't snappy as it used to be. I feel in some way this is an apple type thing where they slowed down older iphones. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe its just my issue. Also another thing bugging me is that they moved the hidden collection to the bottom of the gallery instead of the extra options in the corner. Now its literally visible to anyone surfing the gallery and theres no point of it being hidden. [link] [comments]
Can you roll back from the latest updates? Posted: 28 Apr 2021 05:35 AM PDT I don't normally do anything fancy to my phone other than use it. Nothing rooted or changed off the norm. I have a OnePlus 7 and after the last update my battery life has issues. It went from a full charge when I went to bed to 79%, just sitting there with nothing going on and not being used when I woke up. It used to go down maybe 5% with no usage overnight. This is not ok. It has to be the update since it just started. I tried to check out their community on the website for help but it's hard to follow anything. Does anyone have any not to difficult instructions to go back to a previous version? [link] [comments]
1+ 7 Pro - Android 11 - inacceptable battery drain (official branch, updated since 25th april) Posted: 28 Apr 2021 12:05 AM PDT android 10 daily battery consumption: 3-10% (1-3% over night, included) android 11 daily battery consumption: 15-20% (10% over night, not included) The regular android-OS battery drain was at 1% of all time usage (till next charge). But of my current A11 and 40%-battery left state, android-OS is already at 12%. I am always disabling/turning off wlan, bt, regular network, etc. before going to bed. Currently leaving everything off while running android 11 (while having power saving mode enabled!), is even consuming unlogical amounts of battery. This is beyond efficiency. I kinda regret upgrading for the "better" minor features and "made things better" stuff with A11. Still no AOD for years, still no manageable edge recognition, purples and blues are even more noticable with the newer dark mode (where the screen doesn't even get as dark as before), horizon lights still suck (not working at all), upper bar (notification bar) is way slower to pull down, as there is now an unlogical slight delay for whatever reason (compare it with the shelf pull up, it is as fast as before), 3 button app-switch is also bugged (2 times []-square button fast touching), sliding down the notification bar while on fullscreen mode (like watching youtube or stuff) will bug out the bar (it will simply flash for a rbief moment and vanish again) and more. I guess, it is about time to get a new brand, as this one turns around to get to be another samsung/apple thing, since 1+ getting as expensive as other brands (charging premium) for lesser power and performance. Not being able to handle their own models, which are less devices in total than compared to other brand's variety, is also a negative point for me. For the lesser minded people, who will claim that "people are crazy at checking their phone's battery and this causing the battery drain", cmon people, not everyone is as addicted as most of you blindfolded 1+ fans. https://i.imgur.com/IULUmQ3.png Does this to you look like that people like me checking their phone? No. Definitely not. The android-OS's (which also includes the system) consumption is even higher than the regular app usage, and how the regular apps are not near the display on time. So don't prejudice without asking for details or not knowing any details. You can also clearly see a slightly deeper dip at the time of the upgrade, that the battery drain took a step up. I am someone who eagerly and highly aims for max efficiency. You can tell that by this older android device of mine, one of many I had so far, which did last more than 10 days. So that no one can tell me, that I am lying or just trying to, here, have this and cry me a nokia :P [link] [comments]
Bought the $99 Lucky bag 7T (US), should I update to OOS 11 or stick to OOS 10? Posted: 28 Apr 2021 01:11 PM PDT I've been using the 6T for the past 2 years, finally, I'm gonna switch to the 7T, although now I see everyone having issues with OOS 11, so would you all recommend me updating the 7T to A11 out of the box or wait for another hotfix? Being a new device I don't wanna mess it up, I'm probably also gonna update it to OOS 11 first and then transfer my data to the new phone, does that make sense? [link] [comments]
OnePlus 9 Pro Youtube and Gmail problem Posted: 28 Apr 2021 05:39 AM PDT Hey guys. 1. On my phone when I pause a video it stays paused for a few seconds and then starts automatically it starts to annoy me. 2. In youtube feed settings I set videos only, and when I restart the app it goes back to videos and post. Any fix for this? 3. The other problem is I don't get my gmail notifications. I don't know why everything is turned on. That's all can anyone help? [link] [comments]

Problems unlocking bootloader (OP6) Posted: 28 Apr 2021 12:28 PM PDT Hi guys, I'm having problems unlocking the bootloader on my OP6. The device shows on adb but not on fastboot (yes, I have drivers installed and USB debugging activated). Any solutions? [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Apr 2021 05:16 AM PDT I just updated my OP7T (HD1901) unofficially to OOS 11 via oxygen updater. Now i am suspecting a drop in battery life and SOT, but can't seem to put a pin on it, due to the change in settings layout. Can someone please help me with that? [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Apr 2021 08:19 AM PDT So I upgraded my One Plus 7 pro and got the update. After the update I noticed I stopped receiving notification Vibrations (messenger, insta, telegram). However, phone call vibration still worked fine. Has anyone had this issue and fixed it? And yes my phone is set to vibrate. [link] [comments]
Android 11 update - Spotify on top of notifications in lockscreen? Posted: 28 Apr 2021 11:37 AM PDT I'm sure you've all noticed that Spotify (and I'm assuming other music players) have been moved to the bottom of the quick settings tray. It's a cool place and all (i guess) but what sucks is that on the lock screen it stays there and it's somewhat of an inconvenience to have to swipe down to change a song, especially when I'm out on the street on my bike. Is there a way to fix this? [link] [comments]
New update Op7T makes typing impossible Posted: 28 Apr 2021 07:10 AM PDT When texting nothing has changed about my typing skills but especially in messenger I feel it but it will press keys that I am nowhere near. So I'll be typing a normal sentence and all of a sudden a comma and a random letter will be pressed down. I'll see the letter pop out as if it's being touched but I know I'm not fat fingering it because how could i on a key 5 spaces away? [link] [comments]
Anyone else experienced issues with Dash Charging repeatedly disconnecting? Posted: 28 Apr 2021 07:06 AM PDT So my OnePlus 5T cannot Dash charge without disconnecting every 10 seconds. I can however charge it slower using a low power adapter or through my PC and it charges fine. Below are the things I've already done to attempt to fix. Am I missing anything?
My phone does charge.. But it doesn't appear to be able to dash charge anymore. The only thing left is a factory reset but I'm wondering if anyone's had this issue before? [link] [comments] |
