[HELP] Adaway m.facebook.com not working properly after a hosts file update on adaway

    Posted: 27 Feb 2021 10:27 AM PST

My phone was working fine until this latest hosts file update and now my facebook mobile version on Chrome or anyother browser isnt working properly. Images load but are small. Feed stops at 3-4 posts. Cant scroll further. It almost looks like JavaScript was disabled. I'm not sure.

I'm even able to download fb videos now. But the ui looks crappy with no specific "like", "comment" like buttons I tried to pin point the issue using dns requests log and still couldnt fix this issue. "graph.facebook.com" was the one which appeared. How can i fix this?

[DEV] Seven-year weather history in new version of eWeather HDF

    Posted: 27 Feb 2021 06:39 AM PST

Hello everyone. I published a new version of eWeather HDF with a seven year weather history from two weather providers. I've been making this app since 2007. Until 2019, the app was paid. But now paid apps have become unnecessary to anyone and I made my application free.

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Elecont.WeatherClock.free&utm_source=reddit

Google allows limited number promo codes. But I have few promo codes yet. You can click eWeather HDF - menu - options- report and write: promo from reddit. If promo codes will be available, then I will send you a promo code. I do not need report body. You can leave only report header.

App to turn silent off if called from certain number

    Posted: 27 Feb 2021 05:00 AM PST

    Hi,

Is there any app to turn off silent and unmute the phone if called from a certain number. We're constantly losing our phone around the house, and taking it off mute would help to find it. I've tried ifttt but it's hit and miss if it works. Thanks

Blokada had become an annoying piece of crap

    Posted: 26 Feb 2021 11:33 PM PST

No matter if any blocklists are turned off, when the app is active it's killing Twitter shill Friendly and Sync for Reddit. It also stops working multiple times a day even it's excepted from power saving. The old Blokada (not the big button) was great never had any issues. Any tips?

Looking for audio player with jump/seek which can be operated by car's FF/RWD buttons

    Posted: 27 Feb 2021 07:25 AM PST

I listen for Spanish educational podcasts in a car and I'm looking for a player which can play mp3 and mp4 files and since it's for learning a language it's important to have the ability to jump several seconds back and forth using car's fast-forward and rewind buttons. Currently I have only found Stitcher having this feature but it only streams on-line content while I want to open offline files

Holdup: an app for making scheduled posts to Reddit.

    Posted: 26 Feb 2021 11:05 PM PST

It seemed like all the Reddit scheduler apps I researched were web based and required signup/paid subscription so I developed my own app to schedule posts with no frills. May add other features depending on User feedback.

Holdup for Reddit is now in beta:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=name.lmj0011.holdup

    Key features:

    • Submit or schedule Self (Markdown), Link, Image, Video, and Poll posts.

    • Schedule unlimited posts.

    • Easily schedule posts from multiple Accounts

    enjoy.

Reliable Inkwire/AnyDesk alternative (Android-to-Android Screen Sharing)?

    Posted: 27 Feb 2021 05:59 AM PST

I'm looking for an alternative to Inkwire that actually works.

I need Android-to-Android screen sharing (NO PC involved and no root). Full remote access would a huge plus, but not required. I just need to be able to see what they are seeing so that I can guide them (family).

I'm willing to pay a reasonable one-time fee (NO subscriptions) as long as they (family) don't have to. Needless to say, my use is purely personal (not business).

Update: It seems that Skype does have screen sharing, but the visual quality is disgusting for some reason.

PS: I have no interest whatsoever in TeamViewer, I used it in the past until those assholes gave me that "commercial use detected" bullcrap and I don't wanna go through this nonsense again.

Help with Samsung S21 ultra and Google Phone Dialer app

    Posted: 26 Feb 2021 09:38 PM PST

I just upgraded to the S21 ultra from the pixel 4xl. I have had every Google phone since nexus 5, I just had zero interest in the pixel 5. So I have pixelized this phone as much as I can to have as pure Google experience as possible. I am using Android messages and downloaded the Google phone and contacts. The phone works fine until this. The notification for calls does not pop up a notification to answer the call. It shows up in my notification bar, but I have to pull it down, click on the notification which then allows me to answer. I have the app allowed to be on top of others. What am I missing to get this to work?

    App idea: Underwater Basketball

    Posted: 27 Feb 2021 08:38 AM PST

This was a beloved kid's toy from the late 70s that I thought could be a fun time killing app. The left button shoots to the right, the right button shoots to the left. Or maybe have one center basket instead of two.

Looking for the perfect gallery/album app!

    Posted: 27 Feb 2021 04:50 AM PST

So I'm missing a few features from my Xperia Album app, which would otherwise make it perfect. Tried a few alternatives, not found what I'm after. Any solid recommendations? Features I need:

    • must be able to pinch zoom the photo lister, to go from seeing a few large pics, to a hundred tiny ones (useful when searching)
    • must be able to rename pics directly (missing from Xperia)
    • must generate a random banner pic at the top, from your picture library (3 years ago on this day etc. nice way to remember old events)
    • DLNA support would be nice, to be able to browse my network Photo share

    Hit me up with suggestions!

    Thanks.

Looking for a WinDirStat type of app

    Posted: 27 Feb 2021 02:40 AM PST

Does anyone know if there's an app that functions like Windows Directory Statistics? If there is even an app like that. My phones optimizer shows how big files are already but it's not very detailed and it's messy. It doesn't sort by size.

Edit: thanks guys, I'm checking them out.

    Flight geofence tracker

An app that alerts you if any flight or aircraft enters a geofence-specified boundary. I tried Flightrader24 but it requires a flight number, and it's paid.
