    Unique and customizable android launchers

    Posted: 24 Jan 2021 08:33 AM PST

The most basic android launcher consists of customizable amount of screens/pages, you can place shortcuts or some widgets, and access apps drawer by gesture or by button. Simple, but it works.

A lot of custom launchers are basic and only offer more customization. I'm searching for something more fancy.
The more customization, the better, but I'm specifically looking for these:

    1. Horizontal/landscape mode - not many support it, and if they do it's just stretching out the screen. It would be better to have separate settings for horizontal and vertical mode, with customizable gestures (swiping horizontally or vertically to switch pages etc).

    2. Bar with favourite apps (customizable location). In basic launchers it's on the bottom of the screen.

    3. Specialized pages designed for one purpose, like calendar, contacts page etc. ASAP Launcher has it, but it's premade with 0 customization.

    4. Custom menus that can be accessed by swiping (like top menu in all android devices, but customizable). Again ASAP has it, but it also feels very limited (one on the left, one of the right, with not many settings to choose from).

Of course I would prefer free launcher, but if it does these things correctly, I might be willing to pay.

    Safest notification logger that exist?

    Posted: 24 Jan 2021 06:26 AM PST

There have been countless times where my hands slip and accidentally clear my notification history. I am very clumsy for sure. In order to read notifications I accidentally swipe, I am looking for an application that will save every notification I receive the moment I get it. Now I know that tonnes of apps for this purpose already exist, however most of them are a privacy-nightmare. Do you know any app that solves my problem without being a privacy concern? Which app is the safest when it comes to reading your personal notifications/privacy?

gradual flashlight as in iOS on android

    Posted: 24 Jan 2021 10:07 AM PST

Hello, I've searched everywhere but I haven't found an app where you can gradually make the LED light of the phone a little brighter or darker. With the iPhone, you can do this by holding down the flashlight in the control center. The light from my OP 8T is way too bright. Often it should only be a fraction that bright.

How Much Organic Downloads Can A New App Expect in Play Store

    Posted: 24 Jan 2021 08:13 AM PST

    Hi Guys,

I am thinking to get an Android app that will include a Python interpreter and display my website's content (Python tutorials, App/Software reviews, Data Science articles, and other tech news).

How many organic downloads can I expect from Play Store? I will be doing app promotion but more interested to know if the Play Store gives some push to new apps?

An app to help aspiring Stoics with practical daily Stoic exercises.

    Posted: 24 Jan 2021 12:58 PM PST

Doing these exercises has given learning to be Stoic a structure for me. This made it more practically applicable to my life and I greatly appreciate this. One obstacle I encountered was remembering to do these exercises in my daily life while working , talking to people etc. So I made an app, Stoic Today , to help me remember from time to time.

    The app allows you:

    1. See a new Stoic exercise each day(randomly or in order per your choice)
    2. Be reminded at your preferred intervals during the day to practice the exercise
    3. Journal your experience

The app can be found on Google playstore: Stoic Today

Is there a similar app like the roli noise app on ios?

    Posted: 24 Jan 2021 12:29 PM PST

So I re-watched some videos from roli and the ios app the made appealed to me the most. Now there's me searching the Google play store without success. (Yes they have "noise" on the Google play store but it's definitely not the same as on ios and if we look at the reviews...)

I know there isn't 3d touch on android but a similar app like this must be possible and already been made, or?

Which one (ones) do I choose - Photo Editor Apps

    Posted: 24 Jan 2021 12:05 PM PST

Hi there! I am trying to clear out some space from my storage on my phone. Currently I have - Word Swag, PhotoGrid, PicSee, PicMonkey, and PicsArt. Canva, and Google Photo..but I just have everything default there.

I mostly use these apps for my store. Obviously I have an android (Galaxy Note 9) and work on a Chromebook. I take product pictures (they are far from professional and I am not photo editing savy), post instagram photos...mostly fun ones! I currently use Canva for those photos also so I can get them into the dimensions we want for the website (we use shopify).

    So...what should I cut?

I would also love to make those photos consistent in lighting, look, etc.

    Music Player Help

    Posted: 24 Jan 2021 12:42 AM PST

    Hey guys,

    https://i.imgur.com/xoFFEMX.jpg

I'm switching from iPhone to android and need a dedicated music player. I found a YouTube thumbnail that I fell in love with and know it's the PowerAmp app but I cannot for the life of me get it to look as slick as it does in the attached photo. Is there something I'm missing on the customization menu? Is it some skin? Any one able to assist?

    Cheers

Camera app that can take multiple images and generate a 3d model?

    Posted: 23 Jan 2021 09:35 PM PST

Hey folks, I'd like to be able to take 3d portraits which can then be used as a wallpaper that moves as I move the phone. Like some of those wallpaper apps that stack 2d images and give a parallax effect when you move the phone.

Anything out there that does this? It would have to generate a 3d model (kinda like photogrammetry) which can be moved by moving the phone.

Apps that is similar to Airdrop

    Posted: 23 Jan 2021 09:07 PM PST

I'm wondering if there's an app that is similar to airdrop where I can send photos and files between iOS devices and Android? I'm going back to Samsung but keeping my other Apple devices and was just curious if there's an app similar to this or will I have to just send them through email? Thanks in advance!
