Scheduled posts are now exclusive to the re-designed moderation tools config page which I refuse to visit due to medical reasons (I like having functioning eyes). | OnePlus 7 Pro - Vibrate Slider Issue Posted: 03 Jan 2021 02:04 AM PST As of this morning I noticed my OnePlus 7 Pro seems to allow the physical slider to switch into Vibrate mode but won't slide anywhere from Vibrate mode (to either Silent or Ringtone). Anyone else encountered this issue and know what might cause it? Can't seem to go into settings and physically drag the volume up either. Restarting the phone puts it back into Ringtone mode. I've been eyeing the oneplus 8T for a while - the only thing that's setting me back is the possibility of oneplus not updating their software after a while (I've seen some comments on this in their oneplus 7). Could anyone let me know if you have any idea if this would be the case from past experience? I'm someone who hates trading phones (I'm still using my iPhone 6S 😂) so I'm looking for the best solution long term which would include both great hardware but also software. I'm also looking to avoid apple products, as I feel their price to quality ratio is simply not there, but they do have the software update reliability in their favor. Would love some input! Used 2 rhinoshields but they got air under the screen (on corners) and 2 brands from Amazon with the same result. Can anyone reccomend me a Screenprotector? | OnePlus 8 5G UW (aka Why I Will Only Be Buying Unlocked OnePlus Devices in the Future) Posted: 03 Jan 2021 06:11 AM PST I really liked my 6T, but unfortunately got envious of the higher refresh and notchless displays that came out afterwards. I decided to upgrade earlier than anticipated since I got a really good trade-in deal on the OP8 5G UW. While the display is fantastic, this device has been more of a headache than it's worth, even at the discount.
This device feels like a forgotten child by both Verizon and OnePlus. Hopefully the Unlocked OnePlus 9 Pro/9 are whitelisted, and have dual-SIM. PSA: Don't buy carrier locked! If you want a good phone experience, go with unlocked, or a different brand altogether! [link] [comments]  |

I've been looking through internet for some replacements but finally I decided to spend some money and get a original one but I'm not much into sending my phone to OP and taking their turn to replace it and stay without my device for few days as I use it almost all the time(probably like most of people 😅). So here is the question: Where to get one? I've seen some on AliExpress and other platforms like that but I'm not really sure to risk it and get it. Does anyone have a reliable source where I could order one? If you have done something like I want to please share your story with me, drop some links here on DM me, anything helpful would be great. Posted: 03 Jan 2021 03:57 PM PST Hi, Lately, maybe some weeks, I don't really remember didn't pay attention, my OP8 is not connected to WiFi until I do it manually. I don't have to enter the password since it remembers the WiFi but I have to go and connect to it manually. I tried resetting WiFi settings but the problem persists. I didn't change anything on my router tho, same router same connection. NOTE: I don't have to enter the WiFi password again just I have to manually tell which to connect. Any clue on how to fix this? The Chinese seller told me there is no difference apart from the Chinese texts in the box. | Replacement woes. How long should I expect? Posted: 03 Jan 2021 05:40 AM PST Towards the end of November, my right oneplus ear bud completely stopped charing and as it was still under warranty I sent off for a replacement after discussing the issue with their online chat service. I sent it off from the UK at the beginning of December and it arrived in their repair facility on the 15th of December. After a fortnight I started getting somewhat impatient as there have been no updates on the service page so I got in touch again and was told this was unacceptable and that they'd contact me in 48 hours, 4 days passed and no email so I got in touch again and the chat agent was very sympathetic and understandable and said he'd escalate the issue and take personal responsibility, assuring me that I'd hear back in 24 hours. It has since been another 3 days and I've gone through the process again with the same response. What can I do from here? Am I just being unreasonably impatient? At this point, I would rather a refund as they told me it'd take another 15 days once the investigation had taken place to send out the new item. For almost a third of the time I've owned these items, they've been in limbo. Any advice would be hugely appreciated. [link] [comments]  |

I've tried a lot of ways to prevent smudges and nothing worked so far. I hate cases and I love my phones naked. But I hate smudges more than having a case on. I'm currently rocking a silicone case and the phone doesn't feel right in the hands with the case on. Been using it for almost 4 years now and its served me well as a midrange budget phone. Ill be going to college in a few months so i wanted to upgrade myself. Ive been considering getting the 8t mainly since its better specs wise than the nord and because i want a phone that will last me a good 4 or 5+ years since, 8t is better here since its a flagship and has flagship specs. But the price range between the phones is just too damn high. And picking either of these 2 phones will be a massive upgrade from the phone im currently using. Which is why id lean towards the nord. | Broken OnePlus 7t - advice wanted Posted: 03 Jan 2021 09:54 AM PST Hi all, I recently bought a oneplus 7t at a local auction and to my dismay it does not work. I knew it was a risk but oh well. There is no power from it what so ever, I've tried doing all the safe boots and what not but nothing. I recently bought a repair kit and replaced the charging port in my current OnePlus 6 and while doing that also tested the battery from my 6 in the 7t and it came up on the screen incompatible battery. Now I'm taking this as a good sign as the screen came on, so I'm hoping the battery is just done but is there anyway to be certain of this before I purchase one? Any advice is appreciated. | Posted: 03 Jan 2021 07:39 AM PST error:FAILED ( remote: Flashing is not allowed in Lock State ), I flashed my one plus 6T with a custom rom and was working fine but whenever i restarted the phone it showed a warning "Boot loader unlocked warning message" so i locked the boot loader now i am stuck on the fast boot mode which shows "device state-Locked" i also had a password to my phone. I got this phone in February coming from a s9+ and it's absolutely brilliant and I love it so much, and have 0 regret with the purchase. I loved the design, including the camera bump at the time of buying...then I saw the jerryrigeverything video and realized that the bump isn't really needed. It looks great but the bump is just weird. I don't mind the big oreo but if it was flush into my phone like some huwaei phones it would be 😍. Just wondering why oneplus would make an oreo camera bump vs the design they have been doing with the 7pro and 8 series. Aside from that, great phone and suggest you get one too.
