| Posted: 27 Jan 2021 08:32 AM PST I've used two personal laptops on my network with near zero issues. My work laptop will disconnect every 15 minutes or so though. I can easily reconnect without issue, but it's obviously not ideal. My work laptop will work with the hotspot on my tablet without constantly disconnecting, but I only get 0.5mbps from it. Also, I experimented at my parent's house on my work laptop, and it didn't go out at all. So my Internet works fine when it's connected to other devices, but not my work laptop. My work laptop works fine when it's running off other Internet connections, but not my Internet. Funny how that works. The IT Support from my company said my Internet is too slow, which makes no sense to me since I get 15mbps from my standard connection and still lose connection, but only 0.5mbps from my hotspot without issue. After i downloaded an .exe file my computer started to warn me and i deleted the file. I later found out it was a trojan virus that leaks passwords. | Acer 2540 laptop no bootable device Posted: 27 Jan 2021 01:16 PM PST As the title says my laptop gives the error "no bootable device" it had been a few months since I had used the laptop and to this point I have tried: Changing the operating system from manjaro to lubuntu Launching in uefi mode(secure boot enabled and disabled) and legacy mode, when launching from legacy mode the screen stays blank with a typing cursor in the top left of the screen Reseating the hard drive Correcting bios date and time system settings I should also mention the hard drive is recognised in the bios and the lubuntu installer. After unplug my pc wont boot and dram led from my rog strix b450 f gaming mobo led turns on... After try few things find out tht using 2 rams in a2 and b2 slot my pc boot up and try to replace my 2 other rams and works fine. | Keyboard is not responding on macbook air A1465 Posted: 27 Jan 2021 02:06 AM PST Hi, my girlfriend recently tried to change her username on the mac, and after changing, mac asks to be restarted. After restarting, the keyboard stops responding but still got to the home screen, it's showing a message that "MacOs needs to repair your library to run applications" but I can't type in the password. However, the top row buttons of the keyboard (changing brightness, etc) is still working. After try logging out, I am now stuck at the logging screen. | Do smart TVs usually have weak Wi-Fi reception? Posted: 26 Jan 2021 10:30 PM PST My router is on the opposite side of the house from my TV and so streaming is not working too well on the TV. But my phone still gets great signal next to the TV, so I figured maybe it's something wrong with the TV. Can anyone advise on how to go about troubleshooting? I opened a browser on the TV and ran a speed test and it's under 1 mbps, but the signal on the phone is around 40 mpbs at the same location. Any help greatly appreciated on how to remedy this. I was going to get a Wi-Fi extender, but I'm not sure that would help since it seems to be reaching the TV fine. [link] [comments]  |

| Bought a Corsair hs35 headset that won’t give me any audio Posted: 26 Jan 2021 05:20 PM PST It will only give me audio if I plug the output only into audio instead of using splinter but then I can't use my mic. I tried using windows troubleshoot and it couldn't find anything wrong. I tried restarting. I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling the icue and it still won't work. | Posted: 26 Jan 2021 03:59 PM PST Hey guys, recently for the past few days my internet on my desktop pc was ridicously slow, where on other devices it wasnt, until yesterday it stoped working completely, i was using a tp link powerlined adaptor so i tought the problem would had came from this, i drilled a whole in the wall and ran a cable to my pc directly from the modem, but to my surprise this error still persists, the problem isnt of the cable, modem or internet itself because i have tried it on this laptop and it is working great (the same cable i ran to my desktop) i have tried most CMD inputs, and things i have saw on the internet and none of them did anything. | Internet on just my pc is slow Posted: 26 Jan 2021 02:39 PM PST Can someone help me? my internet has been really slow on my pc for a few days now. I ran the internet speed test on my pc and on my phone and my pc is struggling to be at 1 mbps while my phone is 100+. my brothers pc is also 150ish mbps and he is only 1 room over. I tried updating my wifi drivers but they were already updated and I tried restarting my router and that doesn't work. I also have a wifi range extender but the internet is still slow on my pc. any help?
