I'm setting it up and noticed that Mcafee LiveSafe comes installed. Is it an antivirus as well? Should I uninstall it? Also, I bought the HP Spectre x360 and totally forgot that it does not have the Ethernet port and that was my idea of transferring files at first but does anyone know any other method to transfer my files from old laptop? I have a Dell XPS 15 that I'm looking to replace this year, but to my dismay I've found that the new XPS's have the home/end keys moved up to the top of the keyboard, rather than using fn+leftkey or fn+rightkey, which is a dealbreaker for me as a software developer. I've been searching the web for alternatives, but I have yet to come across any (premium) models from 2020 or 2021 that have this keyboard layout. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've got a range of options but basically to fit in my budget I'm going to have to balance between better cpu and a better graphics card. I'm seeing combos of i7-10870h with rtx2060 cards but if I want an rtx2070 I need to drop down to an i7-10750h. I'm also hoping to add a vr headset later this year. What should I do? I just don't want something incompatible that may corrupt, or may cause more harm than good to my machine. I have been using this laptop for everyday stuff (youtube, movies, facebook etc...). From time to time i have been checking its battery life with various methods and until a couple days ago my battery health was above 90%. But i checked today again and i noticed something that freaked me out. My battery health is sitting at 18.1% ONLY. How did this happen? I read online that i should calibrate my battery but i dont know how. Should i replace my battery ? Also how can i lose almost all my battery health in just one year of use only? | Keep getting 'Windows didn't load correctly' screen of death when my laptop goes to sleep Posted: 20 Jan 2021 12:36 PM PST Brand new Dell XPS 17, have noticed this happening three times so far. Every time I had left the room for several minutes and when I came back I was greeted by automatic recovery with the 'Windows didn't load correctly' message. As every single time I've seen this happen has been after I haven't touched the computer for a while, I assume it has something to do with my laptop going to sleep. Mind you, when I come back the screen is not black and the message does not appear when I attempt to wake it, but rather it looks like something is failing while it's attempting to enter sleep mode. I mostly play multiplayer shooter games and battleroyales like Warzone. Wont this spec last for atleast 3 years with those kinda games? I then brought it in next morning and since I already knew my battery was dead, plugged it in to use the laptop off of my charger and it was starting up normal and then suddenly all power cut.
