| Can you find any Custom ROM compatible with unpopular mobile models? Posted: 28 Jan 2021 08:55 AM PST I have a phone of an apparently very unpopular or unknown model. It is a Blu Energy X2, it has a SoC MTK 6580 1Gb of RAM and 8Gb of storage memory of which the stock ROM eats itself more than 6.5Gb from the factory. The problem is precisely the ROM, in addition to the large space it occupies it is horrible, it is full of Bloatware and it is unstable. Although on a positive note I can say that I think the recovery is good and allows updates to be applied through the external memory card, the recovery is identified as Blu_generic_E0501_V9. Now my questions are: Besides the SoC, what else does the compatibility of a custom ROM depend on? Can I find a good custom ROM compatible with my phone? In this regard, I have to clarify that I need a custom AOSP ROM of the Android Go type, due to the very limited storage space of my phone and the eternal problem of Android lack of memory. In the event that my previous questions have negative answers, is there a way to adapt a custom AOSP ROM from some other phone model with hardware similar to mine to my phone? Excuse my manifest lack of knowledge on this subject, but the truth is, I need a lot of help to make this phone fairly usable, without crashing every 2X3. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]  |

Currently I'm using Screenshot Assistant for taking screenshots by holding the home button, but that prevents me from using google assistant. I don't use the system's screenshot app because Samsung saves them on the camera folder, and not a separate screenshot folder. I would like to replace the screenshot assistant with something that worked with the bixby button. No problem if paid (if cheap), or also something on f-droid. | Apps interfering. (Powershade or any other shade app) Posted: 28 Jan 2021 05:42 AM PST I have my aodNotify as well as Super Status Bar, installed and they work nicely. However, I do want to use an app like Powershade but as soon as try to use it, it interferes with the other apps. For example: Super Status bar has a slide to adjust the brightness feature but when I install Powershade it takes over the touch sensitivity of the status bar completely. | Looking for a collector app that let's you share via link Posted: 28 Jan 2021 08:58 AM PST I've recently tried Snupps and I think it's basically what I want: you can create your "shelf", upload your images and it will showcase the items nicely. You can also add a description and set some other details. However, the main problem is that you can't share your collection with other people via link; they need to install the app. I've seen other apps as MyCollections, and while it seems like a good alternative, it won't let you share your collection in any way. Also tried Collect by WeTransfer and it's the opposite: good sharing features, but the "collecting" aspect is really limited. | The Hustle - Party Trivia Game Posted: 28 Jan 2021 08:49 AM PST For all of those who live in America, there is this new television show called [i]The Hustler[/i]. If you haven't seen it or don't live in America, here is what it is: The Hustler is a trivia game where a group of 5 players (& 1 host) answer trivia questions together. But the catch is, one person (The Hustler) secretly knows every single answer. After a few questions, everyone votes. But your vote doesn't actually count, only The Hustler's does. Once it gets down to 3 people (2 players + 1 Hustler), you have to decide who The Hustler is. If you get it right, the 2 players win. Get it wrong, well the hustler wins. Ever since watching this show, i thought it would be a lot of fun to do on family game nights! The only issue is; we could only play it once because The Hustler has to be selected and prepared beforehand. So how could I avoid that? My first thought was cards. Put everything on cards, but then i ran into the issue of how can The Hustler get all the answers and stay secretive. So my final solution was putting all of this into an app. Being a mobile developer by day, I thought this would be a perfect challenge! So after all that I came here to say I made the app and would love some feedback. It's not the most beautiful thing (i didn't say i was a designer! :laugh:), but it works! This game is kind of like the digital app "Spy" where one person doesn't know the location but everyone else does, but its opposite and it is trivia knowledge. My two issues i still face is: the tv show gives away money, so there is incentive to play. There is no reward for playing other than being the winner.... And also this game has HEAVY player elimination; so it is up to the host to speed things along. Also try to keep player counts under 10 and above 4. My family is excited to give it a try, hopefully you all are too! The trivia questions are pulled from the internet based on "General Knowledge" and range from easy, medium, and hard. Posted: 28 Jan 2021 12:43 AM PST Does anyone know an app that is a midi controller (so i have a view of buttons where i can start playing different imported midi files/patterns) and is capable of transmitting them via midi over usb? Want to use it as a jam-session drum machine. I have some good drum patterns as midi files and want to just specify the tempo and tap a button to change the beats. It should also loop the selected pattern until stopped. Most midi controllers can only send single commands/notes per button press, and gstomper does not support enough notes (max 24) when importing a midi file. [link] [comments]  |
