What is a good offline video player that is copycat of youtube?

I need the facility of being able to view transcript like in youtube, where I can see the complete subtitles.

    VLC can't do that.

Any other media players in your mind?

    I mean sth like this

New to Windows. Is there a certain video player required to run the animations in programs? I’m using a drum program and the only thing not working is the actual interactive animation (I’m sure it’s not called an animation but I can’t think of a better term.”

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 06:46 PM PST

I bought a program that allows you to plug your electronic drums into the PC and it interacts with the drums to give you lessons. It plays a lot like guitar hero or one of those games. The notes come across the screen and you have to hit the drum at the right time. Drum hits register but when I try to preview or start the lesson, nothing moves across the screen. I'm wondering if I need like VLC player or something? It's been year since I've had a PC so apologies if my terminology is confusing.

I am trying to play a old game (Windows 95/98/2000) and am having some trouble

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 02:51 PM PST

This old game i'm trying to run is recommended to run on those 3 windows mentioned, I did opened it in compatibility mode (in 95, 98/SE and XP) and in all of those the game opened but with visual glitches. A black bar that goes across the screen and sometimes the whole screen go black.

Already tried a virtual machine but there the game doesn't even open, so i'm not going to bother

    Any help?

I keep getting this problem when watching videos on a browser on my laptop

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 05:45 PM PST

Hello, this is my first time posting here so I don't know if I put the correct flair.

So basically, a problem occured today on my laptop about an hour ago. I was going to watch a movie on Disney+ but as soon as the movie started, I noticed the video stutter a lot and then it seemed to have a weird white filter on top of it. The video sometimes goes back to normal for like 2 seconds and then it goes back to being white. I tried watching YouTube videos and they all had the same problem. Then, I tried using a different browser but the same problem still occured.

This problem only happens when I connect my laptop to my screen. As soon as I disconnect it, videos play normally. I tried watching videos using the media player in my laptop and they play perfectly. This really only seems to happen when watching videos on a web browser.

Yesterday I was watching a movie and I watched videos on youtube without any problem. I only noticed the problem happening about an hour ago but it's possible that I had it earlier this day without noticing. I did do a windows update last night so maybe that could be the cause of the problem?

Here is the link to a video I recorded to show you the problem that I'm having : https://youtu.be/stZ56TzYNvc

So does anyone know how to fix this problem? Your help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance

How Do I Remove an OS from the Startup OS selection Prompt (Dual Boot)

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 05:39 PM PST

I attempted to set up a dual boot on my pc, but because of an error I have 1 extra Option to boot into that is unuseable so whenever I boot up my pc the list is 1 OS longer than I want it to be, I checked under the boot tab in MSConfig and it only recognizes windows, so its not like I can remove it there. I'm guessing I'll have to delve into the registries, any idea where the available OS' to boot into are stored?

Unable to get Network Connection on Virtual Machine [Windows 10 Server]

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 05:29 AM PST

Unable to get Network Connection on Virtual Machine [Windows 10 Server]

    Hay!

So I've been spending my day to installing a Virtual Machine on my Windows Server 2019 Standard. It was quite easy to set one up, I followed the first YouTube tutorial I found and got everything working except one thing... the network connection.

I thought this would be a simple fix and tried looking up a solution for it; I found that I can create a Virtual Switch inside the Hyper V Virtual Switch Manager. So I did but then I'm being stopped by an error (image attached).

So I went here after multiple hours of tutorial watching and article reading. So I'm asking how I can get a network connection on the Virtual Machine on my Windows Server 2019 Standard.

    Thanks in advance!

is there a way to make windows recognize 1 giant screen several smaller ones?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 12:20 PM PST

I have plans to get a massive screen for my main desktop and I though I could make more use of it if I had a way to split it into smaller screens, so windows would recognize it as several screens and I could run multiple applications in full screen

    is such thing possible?
