    Note 8 Pro Battery Life

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 01:54 PM PST

I downgraded my Note 8 Pro from MIUI 12 to MIUI 10 and I have 12 hours of screen on time for a full battery charge. Is it good compared to MIUI 12? I think It's a bit better than 12.

Mi 10T Pro restarting itself every 20 seconds

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 10:31 AM PST

My dad bought a Mi 10T Pro 5G about 3 weeks ago and today evening it started restarting itself every 20 seconds for absolutely no reason. You could be at the home screen and after 20 seconds "5G" and "MIUI" would show up and again after another 20 seconds. It has all the latest updates.

Has anybody encountered this issue before? Does anybody know how to fix it?

    HELP POCO F1

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 05:30 PM PST

I decided to try the OOS McLaren edition (which I thought would be GSI) and flashed 'em on my Poco. Needless to say, it was a violet (rn7) specific rom which popped errors in my TWRP while flashing it and of course it didn't proceed
The thing is though, that after that I couldn't flash any rom ...
The only thing that works is flashing the original stock rom either in MIUI 9 or 10 of Android 8.1 Oreo (I have flashed MIUI 11 and 12 through fastboot and though showing successful I still get fastboot upon reboot) Even getting ota updates from stock 8.1 rom (the 11.0.5 which is Android 9) leads to the update screen, all good, but once it reboots I'm greeted with the fastboot logo again.

    My first Xiaomi phone

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 06:04 AM PST

Hi everyone, so I recently had the opportunity to get a Redmi 9 (3GB ram 32GB storage) on sale for the same price as a Redmi 9C (3GB ram 64GB storage). I decided to go with the Redmi 9 over the 9C because despite the smaller storage and the same amount of ram, it seems to be a better phone overall (I know the 4GB version of the Redmi 9 is better but it is out of my budget). I currently have a Huawei P9 Lite and the performance is still good imo but the storage sucks and so does the fact it runs Android 6.

What I want to know is is there anything I should be skeptical of regarding the Redmi 9? Will it perform the same as my Huawei? According to benchmark tests it seems to be about the same in some areas and beating my Huawei in others.

I mainly use my phone to browse the internet, social media and to watch shows on and play a few games like among us and candy crush. I don't tend to play heavy games anyway like PubG or Call of Duty mobile.

There are more than 5 different colours of the notification LED on the Poco F2 Pro

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 01:14 PM PST

As the title says, the Poco F2 Pro notification LED has more than the 5 colours you can choose from. For example, I've seen pink, a perfect blue (yes, there is no perfect blue you can choose, and "perfect blue" is just the blue led lighting up since it is probably an RGB LED), a perfect green and so on....

So the pop up camera LED can produce more than the 5 colours. That's a fact.

But why can't I choose any other colour except for these 5? Why can't I make the Pop up camera Purple or white (yes, I've also seen white on mine)?

I think that it's still cool that you can change the colour, but why is it just these 5 colours, where 3 are kinda the same (or have just small differences)?

I don't know why Xiaomi/Poco are limiting us here even though there could be pretty much any colour.... And I don't think it's because of the animation on the display. It would be pretty easy to code it so it can go along with all colours....

TL; DR Since it is an RGB LED it could be any colour, but you can only choose 5 for the pop up camera. Do you have any clue as why there are just 5 "different" colours?

Best glass screen protector for Mi Note 10?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 04:02 PM PST

Can anyone recommend a screen protector for my Mi Note 10. Preferably tempered glass or another material that feels high quality/comparable to the real screen. Also don't want a visible circle over the in-screen fingerprint reader.

    Thanks.

Mi 9 stuck on infinite boot loop out of nowhere

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 10:02 AM PST

Well, I haven't found any good solutions to this yet, so here goes nothing.

My Mi 9 (MIUI 12, Android 10), randomly (it was laying on my bed) decided to keep booting up - it shows the Mi logo, then restarts, over and over. I saw it to go to the lockscreen once or twice, but the phone resets before I unlock it or do anything significant. Fast boot doesn't work (I can get the bunny to show up but the phone restarts), and neither does the recovery mode (It flashes the menu and I can't pick any options). It also got REALLY hot.

The phone has a locked bootloader (I'm not that much of a power user) and zero exterior damage (I was using it like an hour ago or so).

I'm currently waiting for the battery to dry off so I can "restart" it, but I dunno if this is going to work.

Does anyone know a solution or had a similar problem?

    Battery Drain Issue

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 08:58 AM PST

I recently bought Xiaomi Poco M2 here in Nepal. But I feel the battery is draining quite fast as compared to what the phone offers (5000mAh battery ). For instance, the battery drain test videos in YouTube shows that the battery goes from 100 to 94% in just an hour of video playback in YouTube. I haven't used heavy apps since I bought the phone (I just use some social media apps) and the battery usage for screen just soars up to 36%. I've used minimal dark wallpaper and I've set my phone on manual brightness. What might could be the actual problem? Is it because the phone is new and it takes some charging cycle or it's the problem with the phone itself?Or is it the issue with software update. I updated it after buying. Currently my phone's MIUI version is : 11.0.5.0. Help needed. Do anyone of you have experienced the same problem when you bought the phone?

Mi robot 1s taking eternity to load map

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 08:48 AM PST

I'm usually using my robot vacuum to clean single rooms whenever needed. I'm therefore dependant on the app to let me select a single room. The thing is that it takes ages to load the map of my appartement, sometimes it nees several restarts of the mi home app to finally load the map. The robot sits right next to my WiFi5 router so coverage shouldn't be an issue. There also is a connection to the robot as I can see the battery charge and also start the remote control mode. Only loading the map takes that long. Is that a known issue?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 04:07 AM PST

My samsung phone was broken but i already backup all my data to Samsung cloud and already download the data. How am i gonna restore to my Xiaomi device? Does the downloaded data/.csv/apps can be restore to my current phone? I already try to install the apps that i download from Samsung Cloud but it said that 'apps was not install'. The apps data (.csv) are KEY , TIMESTAMP , CREATETIME , SIZE | VALUE , ITEM_DATA (app name|app key|widget|package name|signature and FILE_LIST (blob id|hash|path|size|type|apk|blob id|hash|path|size|type|icon). I also have another phone ZTE Blade A5 2020. If my Xiaomi device can't restore the data, I need help on changing my ZTE System UI/Stock UI to One UI so that i can install Samsung Cloud apk and restore my data. Maybe my last resort, i need to buy Samsung device so that i can restore my very important data. I tried to manage my Samsung Cloud from my Google Chrome desktop but there only deleted icon. Thanks

Correction : Mi 10T only, not K30 Ultra

Notifications not working - Redmi Note 9 Pro

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 02:36 AM PST

Hi everyone, I bought a Redmi Note 9 Pro yesterday and customized it entire day to my liking but it appears that it's to no avail. I tried everything and went through a lot of posts but nothing works, notifications are extremely inconsistent and barerly work, for some apps they don't work at all (Messanger, Discord) even with fully modified settings. I've enabled every setting for both apps through notifications, but as I've said without any results. I would appreciate any help! Much appreciated.

Got my Redmi Note Pro 9 but couple of issues I need help with please.

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 02:04 PM PST

So I got my phone today and enjoying but one thing is really bothering me (,well two things actually)

First one is the vibration/haptic feedback. I have set the highest it can go (I think) but I'm barely getting a response back. It is pathetically bad and pretty much non existant. My previous was a Note 5 which was far better. Is this a common/ standard thing that they changed or is my phone borked?

Second thing is to do with themes. So when I set a theme that is meant to change the look of the entire phone/system (well supposed to anyway) it changes some things but not all. So the homepage, the icons, the drop menu etc change but for some reason it has no effect on the messaging, contacts and call even though the themes I've chosen are meant to change the look of everything. The messaging, contacts and calling backgrounds/icons just stay at their default pure white.

    What's going on here?
