| Everything you need to know about: Xiaomi’s Xiao AI 5.0 Posted: 28 Nov 2020 08:11 PM PST At the Xiaomi Developer Conference held in early November, the company launched the 5.0 version of Xiao AI. Xiaomi's founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun stated the number of devices that are paired with Xiao AI, and that number is a whopping 228 million. Version 5.0 of the Xiao AI features five new updates which include full-scenario intelligent collaboration, conversational active intelligence, customized emotional voice, multi-modal fusion interaction, and intelligent learning assistant. Lei Jun mentioned that since the number of users and devices has exponentially increased since it was introduced first back in 2017, the new Xiao AI 5.0 comes with the newly added ability to control many IoT devices at home at the same time. The Xiao AI will make a unified decision upon receiving a command, and the connected devices will cooperate to achieve the command. This task, in general, is complicated and difficult for most AIs especially since the AI needs to predict the user's potential device control needs, and then make prompts and suggestions. As per the report published by Lei Jun, "As of June 2020, the total number of users using coordinated wake-up has reached 944,000, and the number of interceptions for wake-up has reached 940 million." What makes Xiao AI completely different from the traditional internet APP is that it interacts and communicates with users, and asks questions to enhance its understanding of the users. It's thought process continuously evolves and this is what makes accurately predicting future commands easier through the Active dialogue feature. It makes use of powerful natural language processing technology to build memory, like a human being. Lei Jun's statement further asserts, "In terms of memory storage, Xiao AI's cloud brain will create multi-dimensional personal portraits for users to realize the interconnection of personal information across the device. All the functions of Xiao AI will share these "memory" about users internally, and calculate each interaction with personal portraits to produce personalized results for users." The customized sound project of Xiao AI could also detect the emotional appeal coming from the user through a fairly complicated process of accumulating, extracting key acoustic features, and finally synthesizing the data with a small number of user recordings. Xiao AI 5.0 has been deeply optimized for Cantonese. To integrate student learning into the AI, it uses a curriculum schedule paired with advanced artificial intelligence technology such as the first domestic AI photo import course function. For translation purposes, the team at Xiaomi optimized the text pre-processing module, real-time text error correction algorithms, and multi-language pre-training. To make the communication process flawless, the Xiao AI comes with a smarter multi-modal fusion interaction. The rest of Lei Jun's statement explains how Xiaomi's AI platform has facilitated the overall growth of the company. | Posted: 28 Nov 2020 07:17 PM PST I recently bought Xiaomi Poco M2 here in Nepal. But I feel the battery is draining quite fast as compared to what the phone offers (5000mAh battery ). For instance, the battery drain test videos in Youtube shows that the battery goes from 100 to 94% in just an hour of video playback in Youtube. I haven't used heavy apps since I bought the phone (I just use some social media apps). Is it because the phone is new and it takes some charging cycle or it's the problem with the phone itself? My phone's MIUI version is : 11.0.5. Help needed. Do anyone of you have experienced the same problem when you bought the phone? [link] [comments]  | ||

It only like updating 0.4kb/s even I have a good internet provider. I tried updating it overnight but it only progress for about 3%. I want to do system update because it might resolve my phone's issue that it has sometimes red glitches when I drag down the notifications or the change tab(or whatever it calls). Posted: 28 Nov 2020 06:22 PM PST I'm traveling for a day without charger, so i put phone on ultra power saving mode. 1. listened music for 5-6 hours 2. played a simple TD game for 30 minutes 3. Chrome for 30 minutes. 4. internet was always on, incase i get work related msgs and my battery is 10% now trip start time - 3.00 PM - 100% current time - 8.00 AM - 10%, next day total - 17 hours its not much different than what i would get incase i used "battery saver mode" [link] [comments]  | ||

When I go to the phone specs it also shows the model as M2004J19"G". But, when I access the file manager it shows the China variant model M2004J19"C". | Poco F2 Pro - Unlocking Bootloader error 99% Posted: 28 Nov 2020 03:37 PM PST Hi! I have bought a poco f2 pro recently and after one week of usage I want to switch it to xiaomi.eu like I usually do with my xiaomi phones since 2012. Now the problem is during the unlocking process, at 99% is gives an error that this phone is associated with another ID. This is impossible. I've bought the phone from Banggood but it came wrapped in it's original transparent cover so it was never opened. The phone has an miui account with permission to unlock, oem unlock enable, developer options on, debugging on, paired to my account, find device and sync enabled. Anyone has an idea what to do next? No matter what wallpaper I use on my home and locking screen there's always a strange picture kind of laying over it, when I push my power knob. E.g I selected one of these superscreens and normally the planet from the always on display should become bigger, but then there's an umbrella over it. | Posted: 28 Nov 2020 03:31 PM PST Hello my fellow Xiaomist friends! As said in the title, I need a new phone. The one that I'm currently using is a Xiaomi Redmi 5, which has been released in 2017. I had no issues with my phone until a few months back when I broke it. Some random paint started to cover the screen and I think it's some liquid used to cool the processor or something because since the paint came in the battery drains like crazy and I need to charge it 2/3 times a day. I want to give Xiaomi another try because I really feel like I didn't got to use the phone to it's max potential and I want to explore more about the device. Plus, I really want to try the "ecosystem", the earphones and the mi band! With that being said, I want a phone that would late me all day without charging (I'd rather charge it overnight) and one that has a good display since I really like to watch videos on YouTube! Those are the 2 most important attributes to me! I laid an eye in the Xiaomi 9S, 10 lite and the note 10 lite! Oh and I would love you to recommend a more casual looking smartwatch too, because I think that are some circumstances that the mi bands are way too sporty! Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  | ||
| Upload to Mi Cloud doesn't work Posted: 28 Nov 2020 03:25 PM PST Hello, wanted to sync all my Photos with the mi cloud, bug i have way more than 5GB Photos ... so i decided to buy an upgrade for the cloud. So then i wanted to sync all the other Photos from my phone so i pressed the sync Button in the Mi Cloud menu (the one in settings -> mi account -> mi cloud) but every time it takes a really long time to sync and then it only uploads 2 - 5 pictures to the cloud ... is this a known problem? is there any way to solve this?
