Amoled 60hz or IPS 144hz - Debate Posted: 01 Nov 2020 06:01 AM PST Ok guys, let's create debate about super amoled 60hz versus IPS 144hz refresh rate. I am thinking about getting poco f2 pro or mi10T (non pro). mi10t is about 40$ more expensive in my country. I do think amoled has a lot better color reproduction, but i'm more into battery life and i haven't try any screen that has over 60hz, but i read a lot about how much better user expirience they give. So Amoled screens have that ability to just turn off the backlight when producing the black color and on my mi9 i got a lot of battery life when i changed just background and some apps to black color (true black, not those "Dark" themes). So i wanna know how much worse battery life do i get when using IPS since i haven't used one in a while. Also, mi10t has just 300mAh more than poco. Considering that both phones got almost the same specs (10t got faster memory and i think just some small small adventage in camera which i dont think would be visible to a guy that barely uses camera) and i am more into using "built in" cameras that don't use any aditional motors to move them - but that would not be the dealbreaker, it's only question which screen type to buy. Help me guys! :) [link] [comments] |
Cards are too big and don't fit the screen Posted: 01 Nov 2020 04:34 PM PST EDIT: Problem solved by simply rebooting. It happened to me before the update though, so I guess it's a problem that might happen again at some point. Just reboot when it happens. I don't know what it's called, but basically the cards that appear when you swipe right from the home screen...they are too big and don't fit the screen. It looks like this . I just know it's not a MIUI12 problem because I just suddenly had this problem before I even updated to that. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Nov 2020 03:36 PM PST I have a Note 9 Pro and use my phone on the bus to listen to music so it's really disturbing when someone texts me, and I can't mute every app all the time... Any good substitute of Mi Doc viewer Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:44 PM PST I want to uninstall it and replace with a reliable and safe document viewer and handler. Pls suggest. [link] [comments] |
if I get a Poco X3 NFC in the US, what kind of charger can I use? Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:43 PM PST It looks like the included charger has a European plug for the charger... unless the ones sold in the US are different, but the American reviews I've seen show the same charger. Should I get an adapter like this one? Should I use just any third party charger sold in the US, or do I need to look for one with certain specs? That adapter looks like the cheapest solution unless there would be some problem with going that route... [link] [comments] |

Pictures Don't Save To My SD Card Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:19 PM PST hello all! i recently bought an sd card for my Redmi 9c and I noticed that whenever I save a photo it saves to the internal storage instead of my SD card. I have checked to see where it's supposed to save and it says that it'll save to external but it doesn't. Have y'all encountered this with your mi phone too? What did you do? Thank you to anyone who helps! [link] [comments] |

Redmi K30 Ultra or something else? Posted: 01 Nov 2020 04:14 PM PST I am living in China and want to upgrade from my quite old Xiaomi MI 5 Pro. I was thinking about Redmi 10X first but then I tried Redmi K30 Ultra at the store and I was totally sold by the 120hz screen and way better camera (IMO). I want to go for K30 but at the same time, I feel there are so many other options I am not sure if I'm not missing some other phone from Honor or Oppo that might be a better deal. I am looking for a budget smartphone, something that can last me one year (planning to buy Apple phone next year hopefully when their main selling point is not 5G and no charging brick). I don't play games, use my phone mostly for productivity/taking calls/browse web etc. The camera is not the priority but obviously, I won't say no to the opportunity of making some pretty pictures. Posted: 01 Nov 2020 01:40 PM PST I bought Redmi note 9 and there's an annoying problem with buzzing in my earphones. I tried different ones, they're doing the same thing, so it's definitely an issue with the phone. It's kind of subtle, it occures only when music is playing or someone's speaking, it's silent inbetween. I like to play music on the lowest setting when I go to bed and the buzzing sometimes overpowers the music itself which is annoying af. Is there a way to fix it? I considered returning the phone in case it's defective, but I'm afraid the next one will have the same problem... any reccomendations? Thank you! [link] [comments] |
