| Snapchat isn't refreshing in the background. Posted: 01 Nov 2020 07:02 PM PST I just got a Pixel 4A and noticed Snapchat won't receive messages and snaps unless I am in the app. So I don't get any Snapchat notifications at all. My notification settings are turned on, it's set to run in the background, and I even took it off the list of apps for my phone to optimize the app for battery. Not sure what's going on. I've cleared the cache, data, uninstalled, everything I could think of that would clear the issue. Anyonw know what could be going on? [link] [comments]  |

| Pixel 4XL Rapid Battery Drain Issue - Drains 50% or more in under 20 seconds Posted: 01 Nov 2020 04:05 PM PST Approximately a week ago, my Pixel 4XL would drain from above 50% to 0% over the course of 20ish seconds. This occurs every day now, and is preceded by a minute or two of lagginess. I was able to capture a video of it occurring today. I can't upload it here for some reason so I'm linking to my other post in the pixel subreddit. Posted: 01 Nov 2020 01:15 PM PST I recently got the Pixel 4a and wanted to use Nova launcher, however when I unlock my phone or go to the home screen by pressing the home button my phone asks if I want to use Nova or the Pixel launcher. I have set Nova to be the one to always launch and set it as my default in settings. This is a brand new phone and it's pretty frustrating as I really don't want the default pixel launcher. | Posted: 01 Nov 2020 12:24 PM PST I have a huawei mate 10 pro running on emui 10 and yesterday I decided to do a backup of my phone using hisuite but they told me I didn't have enough space, so I deleted call of duty (7gb) which left 107/126 gb used and did the backup. I just found out that 12 gb were suddenly removed from my phone. I had 107GB of my capacity used and now i only have 95GB used although i have not deleted anything. How can I check where the 12 gb disappeared or what data got deleted? [link] [comments]  |

The tablet contains some important files so resetting it is not an option. Is there a way to somehow reset/remove the password? | Trouble bringing WhatsApp messages from IPhone to android Posted: 01 Nov 2020 05:28 AM PST Hello, Just got my first android phone and I've been trying to get my old WhatsApp messages onto my new phone and it doesn't seem to want to work. I've tried to backup individual chats to Google drive, tried emailing individual chats and then downloading them to my new phone but when I try to restore from backups on my android it doesn't restore from any of the stuff that I just downloaded! I saw that you can do a backup of your entire whatsapp, but on my iPhone it only lets me upload it to iCloud rather than to Google drive. Well and truly stuck, everything else has been fine transferring from IPhone to android but this is proving very problematic. Any help is appreciated. [link] [comments]  |

The issue for me is that I can't seem to find any custom ROMs anywhere for my spare phone. It's running Android 7.1.1 and is the 2GB ram variant of the blade V8. I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find any custom ROMs for it, nor a custom recovery. If anyone knows where I can find these things too, it would be greatly appreciated. A friend of mine came to me asking why she can't connect to wifi and instead there's an icon that looks like 2 links of a chain. Two interlocking ovals. Google didn't help much with the word "link" for obvious reasons. I assume she accidentally changed some setting on her phone, but I've never seen the icon. | My Galaxy Note 9 is having a really weird issue with the lock screen Posted: 01 Nov 2020 08:41 PM PST Can anyone tell me why there's basically a second layer to my lock screen? it's a grey screen with an ad for usually some kind of news. it has a swipe bar right under it, where left is camera and right is unlock. It's annoying, bc it doesn't just take longer to open my phone, it also slows the speeds down in every other way. Also, whatever it is seems to be draining my battery suuuper fast.. I didn't even know how to google this, exaclty, so I couldn't find anything helpful. you guys are kinda my last hope before factory resetting my phone. So lmk if you've got any ideas. thanks! It never does this when the screen is on. Any ideas? I tried turning off hot word recognition in Nova launcher but it hasn't fixed anything. I've experienced more issues than I'd like with Google Assistant."text charlie I'm going to be late" "okay that's a message to Charlie saying I'm going to be late is that correct? | Posted: 01 Nov 2020 06:52 PM PST Hello, I use an app called GBinsta that comes with a download feature to download posts (usually memes). It has always worked like a charm but lately the video's have been bugging out. When I download a video and upload it on my snapchat story 90% of the video's will either be slow motion, have desynced audio or have distorted audio making the video's unwatchable. When watching the video's in the default galary on my oneplus 6T some of the video's that didnt work on snapchat play fine and some don't. When I send the videos on whatsapp the receiver can play them fine tho. It's really weird and the bugs are completely random and it's super annoying! Does anyone know what might cause this issue? | Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:33 AM PST Hi, I have an app that I use for work, but I found that even when I have battery saver off, the app goes offline after several minutes. I can't pick up calls from it, when it does that so I need it to run and be online more or less constantly. I read about wakelocks, but I am not too sure how to set one up, because most tutorials on the internet talk about disabling them. I found an app called CPU awake that seems to enable me to have the app running, but I'd rather set a wakelock for a specific application - if that's possible - than the whole OS. I have adb installed on my laptop and I got a rooted Oneplus 6t, running stock android. Can you help please? [link] [comments]  |

My wife discovered a weird anomaly in her Galaxy S8. Whenever she gets a text message during calls the phone starts this very weird poly music that sounds like something out of 80's wild west video game when entering saloon. The noise is loud, making her unable to hear the caller properly and the sound can only be heard on her end. I've checked all the settings but she uses only default sounds. I've not changed anything in the default setup of the phone. When I open developer settings and try to assign standby buckets to the app it is having no effect on it. It stays in active bucket. All of the apps on my phone are in the active bucket. I'd like to assign them proper buckets. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! PS: Let me know if you need more information on this.
