I've only played DR1 myself on my crappy laptop and it was a blast. Great story for those that enjoy VNs. Also, a good deal for both games since I paid $7.99 for DR1 in August.

Any games matching my criteria? A game similar to Black Desert Mobile but with Cooperative gameplay

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 04:18 PM PST

    Hi,

So I recently started playing "Black Desert Mobile" and it doesn't appear to be too heavily P2W; It's got decent graphics, good selection of classes, good skills and runs nicely.

The one and only problem I have is... it's not coop. I want to party up with a friend and run around the map together killing monsters & bosses, sharing loot... etc

What mobile alternatives are there that are very similar, preferably free to play.

    I'm currently looking into

    • Talion
    • Alliance vs Empire
    • Cabal Mobile
    • Rohan Mobile

    Thanks all

[DEV] How interested would you be in a Dragon Quest Monster/Shin Megami Tensei like RPG on mobile?

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 10:06 AM PST

Hi! I recently had the idea to make a proper RPG on Android. That genre is of course very crowded, so before I fully commit to the idea I'd like to see if y'all would be interested in something like this.

The general theme/story would be a slime blob (you) being sick of being the weakest monster, so you start gathering a group of other slimes to conquer the lands taking on increasingly difficult enemies.

The general gameplay idea would be a typical turn-based RPG. You and your enemies take turns with attacks and skills. (I'll have to think of an interesting way to exploit enemy weaknesses) Eventually you unlock the ability to fuse slimes into stronger and different slimes with a mix of the "parent" slimes skills and the "child" slime's species-specific skills. I also want to implement some sort of collectible card system that would work as gear for your slimes.

Since I'm not too confident in my art skills, the game would look pixely

Eventually, I'd also love to implement some sort of multiplayer aspect. (Trading and battling)

Does this sound interesting to you?

Astracraft Global Release Coming Soon on Android/iOS - Mech / Battlebot fans should be pretty excited about this one

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 02:55 PM PST

There is an upcoming Mech battle arena game coming out by NetEase called Astracraft which is available for pre-registration now on Google and soon Apple. If you are a fan of mechs/drones/robots/battlebots you will love Astracraft as it allows you to explore your creativity on building the most awesome mech war machines! You can even modify your bot mid match and create whatever your creativity serves up. (I couldn't think of anything amazing though) However, I've seen some people created transformer looking bots and even a dinosaur lol.

Astracraft has quite a lot of game modes too like different arena modes, Battle Royale and even Mario Kart like Racing with the machine you've built.

Read more on the game: https://www.mobogamers.com/post/astracraft-gameplay

What games truly support 90 - 120hz on Android

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 10:28 AM PST

I have the OnePlus 8 pro with it's gorgeous 120hz display but I am struggling to find good games that run at 120fps.

I have delta touch a doom source port but it doesn't manage to run above 60fps and I can't find the settings to configure it.

Minecraft also seems to be locked at 60fps.

Haven't tried PUBG or Fortnite or COD Mobile but I heard they are also locked at 60fps.

Are there any good options out there?

Also I love this device for emulation dolphin and Citra run perfectly!

    Looking for my "Runescape" fix.

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 08:40 AM PST

Tried OSRS and its just too slow for me, even with full nostalgia goggles on. Melvor idle hooked me for a week but I'm looking for a happy medium between the two. Something low impact i can casually grind out skills or gathering and still have fun. I know this questions been beaten to death but melvor really got me fiending for a little more.

[Request] looking for something new to play. Lesser-known games appreciated. Previous favourites and other criteria inside

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 06:23 AM PST

As the title suggests, I'm looking for something new to play. I've usually got a few games installed depending on what I feel like playing, but over several months I've exhausted some of those and tried more but haven't found anything that really grabbed me.

I'm fine with paying for the game, I'd prefer that over excessive ads. But free is okay to recommend too if the ads are not too intrusive or annoying. I'd rather avoid games with IAPs that are necessary to enjoy it properly or microtransactions that are shoved down your throat.

I'm looking for single player games only.

I'm not interested in online competitive games, idle games or endless clickers, or racing games. I'm also not really into point-and-click adventures these days.

I play a lot on Steam and PS4 (and sometimes Switch) so if it's a game that is on other formats, I'd usually go for those one my smartphone. So ideally looking for recommendations for mobile only or mobile-suited games.

My phone is a few years old: an ASUS ZenFone M1 Pro with 6GB RAM and running Android 9. I don't care about graphics, as long as the gameplay is fun and works well on mobile.

    Games I liked a lot:

    Kingdom Rush (all of them)

    This War of Mine

    Baikoh

    Rymdkapsel (simple graphics, great gameplay)

King Tactics (simple graphics, great gameplay)

    Starbeard

    Pocket City

    Hexiq

Shattered/Skillful Pixel Dungeon (best versions IMO)

    Rule With An Iron Fish

    Alto's Adventure & Odyssey

    Triple Town

    Holedown

    More games I liked:

    Among Us

    Monument Valley 1 & 2

Hitman GO (tried Tomb Raider and Deus Ex too)

    Road Not Taken

    Golf Club: Wasteland

    Caves Roguelite

    Out There

    Space Grunts

    Meteorfall: Journeys

    A Good Snowman

Iron Marines (didn't enjoy it as much as the Kingdom Rush series, they are hard to beat)

    Downwell

    Wayward Souls

    Golf Peaks

    Leap Day

    One More Line

    Data Wing

    Pako

    Orbit

    Beyond Gravity

    Ridiculous Fishing

    Mini Metro

    Doug dug

Games I tried but didn't enjoy enough:

    Crashlands

    Cat Quest

    Miracle Merchant

    Reed

    Gemini Rue

    Super Mario Run

    Cosmic Express

    The Room

    Crossy Road

    Adventures of Poco Eco

    Animal Crossing Pocket Camp

Games on Steam so don't need

    Terraria

    Stardew Valley

    Slayaway Camp

    Beholder

Thank you for all the suggestions so far!

I need an online game, unlike others.

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 01:26 PM PST

Hi there. Firstly, it should be of course online. Everything should depend on user control. It can be unique/indie if possible.

No battle royale, no bad rip-offs, no gun combat main FPS games (CoD mobile and games like that) and if possible, not a dead game.

It's way too hard to find a game like this, you're right. But I'm really bored of rip-off and popular games.

For example, don't recommend me Minecraft, Among Us etc. because who doesn't know them already?

Best game recording app available right now ? Even if it is premium I would like to know please.

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 07:32 AM PST

I want to record gameplay of Wild rift on my Poco F1 device. Although there are plenty of game/screen recorders available in Play Store it's hard to tell which one is best, there might be a hidden gem among them.

That's why I'm here to ask which game recorder is best out there ? Even if it is premium I would get that. I just want to record in best possible quality with minimum in-game lag.

    Thank you :)
