| Posted: 29 Nov 2020 11:50 AM PST New app development (Idea) I was wanting to make an app but I'm in need of some help... I want to make an all in one social media app, but not the web based kind, something that has all the apps and can easily be switched to. Like if I want to get on Snapchat, I could hit a drop down menu and select Snapchat and it would open the app in the all in one app. I don't know if it's possible but it would be a huge help to have some senior coders onboard. | SwiftKey pop-up notification when incognito mode is turned on/off Posted: 29 Nov 2020 12:02 PM PST When you turn on incognito now, a message pops up to remind you that your words are no longer being saved. It's incessant, unnecessary and it literally blocks the lower bar of the keyboard for a moment. I have not seen any way to stop it. [link] [comments]  |

| A photo backup that does *less* Posted: 29 Nov 2020 11:20 AM PST Here's what I want: I want to back my photos up online. I later want to be able to download them for archiving and remove them. That is all. Everything I've tried either has extreme limitations (tiny limits, device limits, or quality reductions), or it does way, way too much (Google Photos.) I do not care about an online album (if it's there, fin, but it isn't important to me), and I do not want everything on my phone permanently synced with a site. IE - I want to be able to delete stuff off of my phone without removing it from the site, and remove it from the site without removing it from my phone (this is where Google Photos falls apart - they want to replace the gallery on my phone with their albums and keep everything in there forever.) I just want my photos to be uploaded as I take them so that I can manage them elsewhere. Dropbox used to do this, but then they added all sorts of restrictions that made it useless. | App for mirroring PC to android phone? Posted: 29 Nov 2020 10:57 AM PST I'm looking for an app that helps me mirror my pc screen to my phone. I've found a few good reviews for remote desktop apps, but nothing for screen mirroring which is what I need. The difference being that remote desktop passes control while screen mirroring offers nothing more than mirroring the screen between the two. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Similar to how Gboard and SwiftKey allow you to move the cursor by swiping on the space bar. Gboard gives you the ability to highlight text except it automatically deletes whatever is highlighted. Posted: 28 Nov 2020 06:27 PM PST I'm looking to have an alarm go off very briefly each hour during the day, to remind me to get up from my computer and do a quick run up and down the stairs to keep blood flow. I find it really annoying to have to run over to my phone and turn it off if I'm not already right beside it. Previously (in FF 68), clicking a link (say in Reddit) would pop up a toast with a button to open link now, and if you ignored it, the li K would just be saved in FF. Any ideas what changed?
