This experience has been a disaster on my LG G7 with google Fi. Typically the only non iphone in the group chat people will say they can't send pictures or videos as texts or the quality gets greatly diminished. Also if they react to a message love/like whatever on their phone it shows up as a separate text on mine. I get messages late. Sometimes i cant send pics to my wifes iPhone...the list goes on. I love the android software compared to iOS but im really annoyed by this small but really aggravating issue. I know i can't be the only one, does anyone know a fix that i cant find from googling this a dozen times? Why doesnt google fix this? [link] [comments]  |

My mother has made a habit of texting herself various information for record keeping purposes over the years. (Pixel 2) Basically a substitute for a notepad. (I've encouraged her to use a note app but she's tech challenged.) Today she accidentally deleted the entire conversation on the messaging app. Clicked past the "This action cannot be undone" button loosing years of notes. I've been trying to recover her data using the free versions of UltData and FoneLab to no avail. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations to help in this regard? So I just casually calculated to check if its accurate or not but to my surprise there was about 2GB missing from the WiFi usage. Ie the total was only about 52 gb. Is this normal? Messenger, Marco Polo, Instagram, etc now all do the same thing. It seems that some major flaw in Android 11 OS but I have no idea how I could go back to 10. And ideas? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 29 Nov 2020 07:33 PM PST So I honestly have no clue how this started, but all of a sudden instead of my normal lock screen I'm getting this really strange screen (pic 1 ??? https://imgur.com/a/FxToA11) Then when I unlock I'm getting this 2nd lock screen with some weird notification (pic 2). I'm honestly clueless. If anyone has an idea of what's going on and possible a fix without having to wipe the phone I will be grateful for life! Thanks. My reason is mainly the fact that my pixel 2 xl bezels are smaller at the bottom, as well as the fact that the haptic motor is at the top. I've got as far as chrome://inspect/#devices which has been a way to export tabs (note for others: beware truncation, copy via dev console). I'm essentially now looking for a way to mass import / open tabs on mobile, perhaps via automation of the single tab opener on the mentioned page. | Problem with clearing a notification Posted: 29 Nov 2020 05:54 PM PST Every time I turn my wifi the notification drops down from the notification menu saying calls can't be made over WiFi when I turn wifi on to use it. Problem is I can't clear it away even after I turn wifi off. I have to restart my phone just to get rid of that notification. Gets frustrating every time I turn wifi on and have to turn it off I have to keep on turning my phone off to clear that notification. Any help or way I can get rid of that instead of restarting/turning my phone all the time? | "i" No Longer Auto Capitalizes Posted: 29 Nov 2020 01:48 PM PST So since forever, if I hit the letter "i", it would auto capitalize after hitting space. Well, now it doesn't do that anymore. I'm using the latest version is Gboard. It's been for about the last month or so that I've noticed it. What gives?! My settings have auto capitalization turned on and i haven't changed any settings. It's very annoying to have to go back and change every "i" to "I", especially when it's so hard to double tap it to highlight it since it's only one letter that's just a vertical line. I have tapped all of the settings they all make you add fingerprints and the same result happens, that is it just closes itself. How do I fix that? Posted: 29 Nov 2020 04:00 PM PST This has been a mild issue with my Note since I first got it and it hasn't been improved with any of the OS updates. Every once in a while, my phone will randomly lose network access. It never switches to a mobile network when this happen. Pages just stop loading. I'm a cord cutter so I'm always streaming something to my Roku and that never drops, telling me it's not my router or network setup. It's just a problem with my phone. I should also point out that I am always stationary when this happens. It's not like I'm wandering around the house and hit a dead spot. [link] [comments]  |
