- I try to open a video in the gallery app on my poco f1 after the miui 12 update and this comes up. It only gives me to move or copy the file.
- Downloaded manually MIUI 12 for Redmi Note 7 Global! And yes, the first introduction screen has ads, typical xiaomi way. Remember to turn off wallpaper carousel! Can't show change log because my account hasn't officially got the update, so no permission.

- Anyone else's mi 9t's fingerprint sensor just giving up on you lately? It literally takes 6-7 seconds sometimes or it just doesn't recognize my finger anymore. I rescanned my thumb to see, maybe my finger changed a little but it still does the same thing. It used to be instant when I first got mi 9t
- I updated to MIUI 12 today and when I open a video in fullscreen the status bar doesn't disappear, this happens in YouTube, mi video and more. It even changes color all the time and it's super annoying. Does anyone know how to fix this or why it happens? Thanks

I'm on the security field, and I'm more wary about the use of certain hw/sw build in China, e.g. IOT devices, etc., however, i don't want to have bias against everything build there. I did some research and I did found that on the past the routers used to inject Javascript to the websites. Is this still an issue? Have you guys encountered something else? | Air Purifier 3H no automation? Posted: 30 Oct 2020 06:51 PM PDT I just bought the Xiaomi air purifier 3H. It's the global Version I think. Added it to the mi home app (location Germany) and everything works fine. ...almost everything. I keep it on night mode until someone smokes a cigarette in the kitchen. Then I turn it manually to „favorite" mode, somewhere in the first half of the fan speed. When the pm2.5 goes back to normal, I switch it to night mode again. Automode won't do it for me, because after 1 minute smoking it goes full speed and that's to noisy for me. So I want it to switch to favorite mode when pm2.5 is bigger than 20 and switch back to night mode, wenn the pm2.5 is lower than 20. So I Click on automation —> on the + Icon (If) —> choose my air purifier —> click on „pm2.5 higher as..." —> but then I just get a blank screen. There is no pm2.5 number to choose so I can't create the rule. What can I do about That? (Heard something about, that that is just possible on China servers? But I can't switch to China servers, because the 3H model is the global version and with China servers I can't add the purifier...) | Posted: 30 Oct 2020 10:13 PM PDT Can anyone get Googlemaps Timeline (location tracking element) to work on their Xiaomi phone? It used to work perfectly for me. The app would accurately track my movement, places visited etc. Now, all it does is log my starting point and end point of journey. If I keep the Map screen open and powered up, it tracks accurately but it used to work with app in the background. I know all about Location settings, app battery management and battery saver. All of these are configured as they should be. Why won't Googlemaps run properly in the background of Xiaomi phones? I love Xiaomi products and already have had 3 phones. If I turn it sideways it will pull down, is it possible the sensor on the screen is broken? My mobile data works amazing.. my wifi speeds are amazing as it works good on my laptop and speed test on both laptop and phone gives around same results.. but the actual internet performance on wifi isnt as good as it should be... tried even on different wifi of different people. Also my phone keeps getting disconnected when I'm at a certain distance.. but laptop can keep constant connection flawlessly at even greater distance. My wifi experience on this device hasn't always been this bad. i feel this has started from a certain update. Might there be a reason this is happening? [link] [comments]  | ||

Stays on normally as long as I'm on the lockscreen, but reboots within 5 seconds of unlock. Mostly with an error 'Find my device closed unexpectedly' This happened all of a sudden while I was clearing data of an app (recharge app, probably not relevant) I don't want to lose the data i have on it, if anyone has a solution, please share, thanks! It's also seriously bloated for what it's supposed to do. My advice to xiaomi, as a wealthy company, please invest in better development teams with native android and ios. Stop using React native. It's a tool used by cheapskate startups. Don't be a typical predictable cheapskate Chinaman company. Invest in proper software development teams. [link] [comments]  | ||
