Instead I'm getting individual messages saying "file not supported" and tapping the download button will sometimes download the text and move it to the group chat or it will be stuck downloading forever. | (Complete Noob) Redmi Plus 5 stuck on a bootloop after TWRP Posted: 30 Oct 2020 12:48 PM PDT Hi all, I'm very very new to rooting a device and came across Magisk and TWRP. I managed to install Magisk without TWRP just by going to a CMD and following a couple of YouTube videos and I was very successful. I also unlocked my phone already, turned on what's needed to be turned on such as the bootloader so I am all good on that department. I then installed TWRP. It was successful and showed no issues at all, however I noticed it wasn't detecting my partitions(?) and just shows Internal as 0mb. I then followed a guide telling me to go to repair and change something to EXT2 then EXT4 then to EXT2 again. The 0mb problem showing on the internal actually got fixed and I was able to browse my files. After that, I just rebooted the phone through TWRP and now it's stuck on a bootloop. I am currently at lost on what to do. When I turn off the phone, it just boots back up until it gets stuck on a loop booting up. When I try to hold the volume up button, it doesn't throw me to the recovery mode anymore. The only thing that works is pressing down volume and power together to throw me to Fastboot mode but I have no idea how to fix this or what caused the problem. I've been here for 6 hours already trying to read up for solutions and most of them are asking to go to recovery mode which I can't. So I just decided to ask you guys and hope you can help me. | Snapchat is not giving me notifications anymore Posted: 30 Oct 2020 08:41 PM PDT I have a Motorola DROID MAXX 2. I factory reset my phone and when I installed everything back and updated, snapchat is the only app that has the notification problem. Notifications are on in the app settings and on android, I get notifications fine from messenger, but when my gf helps me test by sending me something, nothing happens, no sound, no vibrate, no icon at the top of the phone. But when I open the app there's the snap/msg I can open. Before I factory reset, everything worked fine. I've tried reinstalling it, factory resetting again, clearing the cache, logged out and back in, battery optimization tweaking, just nothing.. [link] [comments]  |
| What does this notification mean? Posted: 30 Oct 2020 01:56 PM PDT I keep getting a pop-up notification on my phone that just says: "We have detected an application running on your phone that is capable of intercepting your touchscreen's activity. For security reasons, (application) will ignore any input until you cloe the screen overlay application or disable the feature" I'm currently running on Android version 11 on a Google Pixel 3XL. Verizon is my carrier. I tried deleting some new apps and restarting my phone. I also tried Google, but typing the notification directly into Google doesn't provide any information. The notification has only popped up while using LastPass to sign into an application. Edit: I believe the notification I'm receiving is actually from the application I'm trying to open with LastPass (a banking application), which would explain why I can't find anything about that particular warning when Googling the exact phrase. Configuring 10 devices should be that hard, but lets say you are a company with 400 new android devices that need to be configured in a particular way, with particular apps and various specific settings. I've googled it and seen people say you should be able to turn on developer mode, go to widgets and add the settings widget. I've turned on developer mode and when I go to widgets I do not have a settings widget. I'm on android 10 using a Samsung Galaxy 10e. I actually want to see the notifications because time to time on reddit I get notifications, which I go to check only to see the comment has been removed. | Worried about my new phone's battery Posted: 30 Oct 2020 11:49 AM PDT Got this new smartphone yesterday called oppo a53. While using it I kinda noticed it's battery is depleting quick so I decided to test it. I charged the phone upto 95% and used it until it's battery reached 26% I used mobile data and mainly surfed internet and reddit thorough boost app. Here are the screenshots of battery settings- https://ibb.co/nRbnFkN https://ibb.co/rwLQWMW https://ibb.co/zH2zsLJ And as you can see, 70% battery power of 5000mah = 9 hr 17 minute screen time. But what I didn't tell you is that before doing this test, I disabled background AND foreground data usage of EVERY app. I disabled location/gps, wifi, Bluetooth etc I switched on power saver mode and dark mode. I replaced the wallpaper with black screen. I installed passive app hibernating app like greenify and actively force stopped every app by using CCleaner. Heck I didn't even played any games. Shouldn't a 5000mah last way longer after disabling so many services and enabling so much battery optimization settings? Is it normal? Or there's as problem with this phone? Posted: 30 Oct 2020 02:16 PM PDT Been considering switching to a Pixel 4a and the biggest issue I have is the lack of an SD card slot. Figured I could buy an external hard drive to help when the) internal storage gets full. I tried doing this with a tablet but I'd have to reformat the hard drive in order for the tablet to read it. (Have a Galaxy Tab S7 and was trying to transfer roms and videos to the SD card inside, didn't quite work) Is this doable if I buy a new external hard drive?
